The experience could not have gone any better than it did. I want to thank Tony "Tiger" Greer for helping my son with the purchase of his first car. Not only did he make the transaction easy but it was also stress free. My son left with a smile on his face and I know he was overjoyed as he drove off with what he wanted. Gayla was very kind and answered all our questions, Don assisted us with getting the best rate/deal possible, and Sam kept constant contact with us to ensure we were kept in the loop and taken care of from start to finish. Vince has always taken great care of us with our automotive needs. He knows what we are looking for in a vehicle, and the price range we want to stay in. I just purchased my third vehicle from him. Friendly and no pressure service! Found a car I was interested in online and dropped by to take a look at it. Even on a dark and rainy evening, I was welcomed as soon as I arrived on the lot by Tony "Tiger" and was able to take the car out for a test drive within ten minutes of arriving. Tire pressure sensor was on. When we asked to have it fixed the response was “in my own car the tire sensor is on and I just forget about it, it’s fine”, “we will have to send it to get fixed but you will have to pay for it”. Knowing the vehicle is for our soon to be 16 year old it didn’t matter about the tire sensor, guess safety isn’t their concern. But we did get to leave with a 1/2 tank of gas after buying it, courtesy of them.

Gayla is the sole reason I purchased my vehicle online without visiting the dealership. Gayla went over and above what could reasonably expected of any salesperson. This was anything but a typical car purchase. After visiting 5 other dealers the day I made my purchase, I came to Jack Schmitt. Four of the other 5 dealers I visited were eliminated almost immediately because of a bad attitude. I worked with Bill Cheseldine at Jack Schmitt and I must say he has the perfect demeanor for his job. That being said, even though they didn't have the vehicle (with the equipment) that I was looking for, I ended up purchasing a 2011 Ford Explorer XLT with low miles. I could have waited for a limited but i chose to stick with the vehicle with the lowest miles possible. I said this wasn't typical because I needed to have additional equipment added in order for me to take this vehicle (leather seats, running boards, new molding, tinted front windows). Also, I live in Missouri and this is Illinois so I had to get my own inspection. This was a long process because the third party doing the upgrades was short staffed but I was mostly patient because this would not be my only vehicle. We found a couple of minor issues that were taken care of quickly and without argument. This was not a perfect situation but what is most important is what is done when the situation is imperfect. I waited 3 months to give this review because I wanted to make sure there were no issues with the vehicle and it appears to be a solid purchase. I would rate Jack Schmitt between a 4 and a 5 but i have to choose one. Big question, would I shop there again? With me attitude and service after the sale is what is most important and they have been checking on me, so YES, I would shop there again. Ask for Bill Cheseldine!

My wife's family has been buying cars through Jim for years. He has always treated them right, and my wife and I have now bought two cars through him. Jim is friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. We originally came in to look at a Corvette, but since I wanted to stay married we decided to get the Lexus. The process was quick and easy, and we couldn't have been happier. The big surprise came with Jerry, the finance manager. Jerry was by far the best I have ever dealt with. I have had some awful experiences with auto finance personnel in the past, and I consistently dread that part of the car buying experience. Jerry was so much fun I'm thinking about buying another car just to hang out with him again and talk about hot rods and Dale Earnhardt. Overall, this was easily the most fun I have had buying a car.

Walked in looking to trade in my chevy malibu for something a little bigger for my family and left with a beautiful Chevy equinox. Has run and drove amazing. I am completely in love with my new vehicle. Gayla was awesome and took great care of us. Jerry was amazing as well in his help with our situation and handled my son's (age 6) restlessness very well and rewarded him for his behavior. We were there quite a while but happy with the outcome! Definitely my go to place!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a jeep in June was promised that they would fix the tire light that was on and replace the floor mats that were ripped. They were unable to get the floor mats in due to the pandemic and therefore told me to purchase them and promised to reimburse me. Obviously it took a long time for the mats to come in when I ordered them as well and now they are refusing to repay the money. Also, the paint of the hood completely peeled off as if a cheap paint job had been performed and cost over $1000 to repair. The tire light that was never fixed is another expense I am going to have to pay on my own and now the jeep has a leak in the oil line. Fairly certain I was some a lemon as it had not even been a year since I purchased the jeep. When made aware of all of the problems after multiple conversations I have had with them especially Gayla the sales representative since the beginning they told me they have no documentation of promising to reimburse me. They have a new manager of the sales department who told me he would only pay me for the floor mats if I promised to do business with them again otherwise he had no motivation to pay me. He told me there is nothing documented promising these reimbursements and when I told him I have voicemails ensuring this he again refused. I would NOT ever do business or recommend this dealership to anyone. Very disappointed in their customer service due to the lack of honesty.
