There scale must of been off today. I scrap every day, so I'm no rookie, I know I had way more than they gave me. They said 360 pounds, but my truck was squatting and even more than I usually have. Usually I get at or over a half ton. I know what 360 pounds is, and I am 100% certain I had way over that. And I work really hard everyday for my money. Sigh I didn't feel like arguing with anyone. Thatvsucked
I was at your site today. Weighted my medal..I knew I weighed more than what your scale said. I took my medal some place else. I weighed 500 lbs more than what your scale said..LMS worker even said your scales were off..Yet you guys are still letting people come in and ripping people off.. NOT RIGHT!!!..Do not got to LMS 808 Walnut in East St.louis..3-23-26
So if I could give him a zero I would went there on January 16th of 2023 not only did I get get jipped out of not getting paid for my scrap but but the workers were just rude disrespectful called me money hungry mocks me and wanted to fight me all because I was upset about not getting paid for my scrap would not recommend this scrap yard to anybody unless you want to get ripped off
My visiting to top metals was almost criminal was what they offered I've even scrapped trucks whole vehicles full size truck weighing 8,000 lb they pay me less than a ton which is 2,000 lb so for the average price of scrap metal which is the same usually whenever you go they cheat you out my weight and $200 a ton and you have something to weigh 7,000 lb that's three and a half tons should be $600 no they give you $162 I don't suggest anyone going there there's other places around Wood River
Worst scrap yard to sell any Metal 2 pull up the scale is they don’t have numbers to show how much you weigh in or Weigh outWhich that should be illegal and not a safe place to sell a scrap
Thieves they distract you while unloading won’t show you the scale that reads 10 percent light( exactly on 6 different containers). When he found out I had pre weighed and wrote lbs on each container with magic marker he found 97 lbs of the missing copper. He then offered me cash for that and made sure I realized he had a copy of my drivers license. After that I left feeling threatened and only paid for 90 percent of my metal.
I went in with 15 lbs of crushed cans, and 18 lbs of mixed brass. I figured they were paying the most, thats where Id go. They paid me for 9 lbs of brass and 8 lbs of crushed cans. I asked why, the scale guy said, "Oh well, that sucks, its too late now" as he rushed by me to the breakroom. I would only recommend them if you REALLY WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF !!!
