Always is respectful and I appreciate that when it comes to doing business. Always pays fair, let's just say the competition in Jacksonville isn't like that.
WARNING don’t ever, ever load your metal and drive out there. The posted hours mean NOTHING. This guy just burned me for the last time (third time). Load metal, not open, go home and unload.
Treat business like a hobby = No business
Dropped off my scrap metal over 200 pounds worth and would not pay me a cent for it. Not even for the price for a half gallon gas. So be careful where you drop off your metal, who would pay you for it and who would not.
I very seldom write reviews. I dropped off an old refridgerator last Monday, weighed 300 (???), he says he pays ,085/lb (no receipt), should of been $25.50, pays me only $20, first and last time at this crooked place.
Glad to see I am not the only one that has pointed out his hours being wrong on the website. And when you show up he snaps at you. He won't show his rates. He will not show the weights. He will put your garbage bags in a can already full of junk and tells you he is subtracting the weight as garbage. I was in the scales waiting for him to get the weights. He so busy talking to his buddy he didn't get the weights. And then he proceeded to yell at me. The owner needs not reply about not being welcomed. I stopped going a long time ago.
I have been going to g&T since 2014 and he is always been friendly and respectful to me and give a fair price I check before I go on scrap prices and it's always been pretty close to what the market is at the time . I would and have recommended G&T to go there'
Glenn is an awesome guy. And his employee Matt is always right there to help.And the blond gal is alway as friendly as can be. Love going here. And definitely get better pay there too.
Ridiculous you bring a 20 ft trailer stacked 6 ft tall and he wants you to move to 3 different spots to sort it for him I throw it off you sort it if you want it sorted do it on your own time If I knew it need sorted I could have made way more money needless to say went to the other scrap yard they unloaded it didn’t even have to get out And didn’t have to do a 10 min trailer inspection Of all my junk!!
Owner has always been good to me an a friend of mine dan andres .if you steal something from the place I wouldn't go back. You treat him right he will treat you right.
I pulled up at 410pm this guy advertised that he is open until 430pm on Monday. He was locking the gate as I pulled up. I asked what was up. He said closing up. I said the website says you are open until 430. He tried to tell me it was 430. I said well not by anyone's clock besides yours. He said that I was stupid. I told him at least I can tell time and drove away.
My husband and brother in law worked really hard scraping this week. They ended up going to G and T in the hours of operation only to be greeted with a annoyed man snapping at them about they should of been there by 4:30 hes leaving. How about not being a rude abrassive individual and be clear on your signs adjust them to the hours you really want people to come to allow for your clean up and locking up. Its just not right to be like that with anyone when your trying to run a buisness. Not a good impression at all.
