The McHenry store is wonderful! Adam and David are amazing, service and staff is amazing. My only complaint is the Firestone credit card and their customer service. They are horrible!! I never received my card or my statement. When I called them asking the status they hung up on me…3 times! I was not rude, not yelling or using cuss words. Just asking questions. They charged me a late fee even though I hadn’t received my card or statement and when I asked them to remove it as a courtesy they refused. When I finally talked to somebody willing to help me, we found they had my name spelled wrong and address wrong. They sent me a new card and when I went online to activate my account, it wouldn’t go through. I spoke to both Adam and David at the store who were very apologetic and helpful but unfortunately they have no control over the finance company. I highly recommend the McHenry Firestone store but avoid financing anything with the Firestone credit card.

Wonderful customer service, found time to squeeze me in even when they were busy, and great work as always!

Adam went above and beyond to help me when I was traveling for work and needed my car inspected early. I suspected a nail in a tire and had to leave at 4am on Wednesday. He listened carefully, took action, and even ordered a new tire to be brought in the next day just in case the issue wasn’t a patch job. He completed the patch and rotated my tires within 6 hours, despite a short staff. I’m incredibly thankful and grateful for his help—thanks to him I could get home safely. Highly recommend his service to anyone in need of reliable, thoughtful, and fast automotive care.

Love this location!! Dave got us right in when I was having an issue with my car, and made sure to provide updates until it was finished. Talked through options instead of Making us feel like we needed to pay for whatever. Very knowledgeable store and great customer service!

I'm a self-taught mechanic regarding cars, and a former Marine airframe mechanic. Let me tell you that when I'm stumped, I bring my vehicles to this Firestone. These guys are not only capable, but they always stand by their work. The guys that are up front are great as well, but it is Dave that is the reason why we keep going back. Above and beyond isn't enough to describe the service we get from him. He's been my guy for years, and he hasn't gotten complacent at all. He is still there, putting in work and making peoples day brighter. I'd rather not air what issue we were dealing with, but these guys showed great integrity and commitment. When we military folk find someone we like, we tend to be loyal costumers. Dave's dedication to duty makes this an easy choice. Thanks again, Dave! /salute

As always, I was greeted warmly like a member of the family. Adam was prompt in taking my keys and getting the team started on my vehicle. During the service they discovered two nails in a tire and were able to repair it. As always I received outstanding, professional service. I've been getting service from various Firestone locations for over 15 years and this by far the best location I've ever been to. Adam, Dave, Leroy and the rest of the team are amazing

went over to crystal lake location to get an oil change, ending up meeting Dave at fire stone mchenry who was able to get me in right away! all the staff are very polite and helpful when discussing repairs and options! very great experience will definitely be back

They did some work on my car. The first time I drove it it showed a check engine light. I called and the manager said he would look at it for $118. I called another repair shop and they told me how to fix an unplugged sensor over the phone for free! No accountability to stand by their work! Never again!

I find this Firestone location very good to work with. They are honest and go the extra mile. From the sales team to the techs they are communicative and dont try to push additional services. This is the only mechanic I will recommend to anyone.

The manager, Adam, always takes the time to help me with my car issues! After being with the same mechanic for 20 years, I was very hesitant to make a change. But I can tell you that I have been pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with the service I’ve received since I made the switch. The team at this Firestone are knowledgeable, explanatory and friendly. It’s not that easy to find amazing customer service like this these days — I highly recommend!!!

Just be aware that there really is no warranty related to tires (including Firestone). In other words, if there is a problem with a tire, the company will do nothing to resolve it! It is your problem. Recently had 4 Firestone Firehawk AS V2 tires installed on my car (in January 2025) at an independent shop in Illinois, and notice a slash on the sidewall of one of the tires in the beginning April 2025 (tires had 1211 miles on them). These were supposed to be good reliable tires. Contacted Firestone Customer Service who did nothing to resolve the problem. Firestone has terrible customer service. Firestone used to be (in my opinion) a premium brand of tires, but that has clearly changed as they do not back up what they manufacture. The right question to ask when you are buying tires, is what will be done if there is a problem with one of the tires? The answer is clear with Firestone-nothing (as is probably the same response for other tire manufacturers). Seems like many manufacturers of many products today do not back their products. Ask the questions before you buy! In response to McHenry Firestone post, I did not buy the tires at their shop. I bought and had the 4 Firestone Firehawk AS V2 tires installed at an independent auto repair shop in McHenry County. The Independent repair shop obtained the four tires from an Authorized Firestone Distributor. When I notice the tear in the rubber, the repair shop requested a replacement tire from the Authorized Firestone distributor, but the request was denied. The Authorized Firestone Distributor said that the tear happen as the tires were being used. My major point of this post is for people to understand that there is no warranty on Firestone tires (which is probably the same for many brands of tires). Once they are on your car, Firestone will not back up their product, even in a case like my when the tires only have 1,211 miles on them at three months old. The warranty frequently advertised for tires (something like 50,000 mile warranty) is related to tread wear, but there are many conditions related to this, such as documented frequent rotations and they (Firestone) will determine the wear. They will never back up their tires or what they advertise. As suggested before, ask the questions when you buy the tires. Be fully aware that there is no warranty if there is a problem. I have heard that some shops do back up the tires they install, but I cannot verify this.

I called Adam, got a great price on tires. They accommodated my schedule. Fantastic service. Will go back.
