Guy was nice but the didn't have any 10mm sockets. I know it's a joke but seriously that had to be the number one socket there is and to only have them in $30+ kits is ridiculous

Came in around lunch time and the staff were attentive and helpful. Prices seemed fair and reasonable. Store seemed well stocked. Will come back for the wiper blades they told me about when I'm not in a rush. Nice place.

Don't bother ordering online from them. They are rude and crabby when you go to pick it up and have zero interest in helping you.

I was having battery issues with my die hard battery, so Riley was there to swap it out for free and retest everything to make sure everything's good. Riley was very customer service oriented, and made life easy

Today I went to Advance Auto to buy wiper blades. I was greeted and helped by Armando. It was a windy cold day and Armando installed my new wipers with no complaints. Thank you again.

People are honestly sitting on their butts talking. One man working asks for help nobody comes other workers just ignore and continue sitting on their butts talking. Not worth anyone's time or money to come here

Placed an online order for store pick up 1 gallon item simple enough to go find and ring up. Online it said most orders are usually ready in 30 min and the item was in stock. I placed the order at 11am 1pm comes around and nothing, I call the store to inquire about it guy says “we just got the order give me 10 min to find it” I’m sitting around all day waiting for the confirmation email which I didn’t get till 9am the next day. So much for ready in 30 min.

I've been a customer of Advance Auto for years. Recently you had a system problem after a power outage, and no other business in your area has had a system problem. I've waited for 2 weeks, gone there at least 6 times. Finally today I received my credit, which I used to buy oil. I will not be using Advance Auto parts again. There are many other auto parts stores in my area which I will use. There is nothing Advance has to offer me to use to Advance Auto again.

IF YOU LIKE YOUR PARTS NEVER BEING AROUND WHEN THEY SAY THEYRE SUPPOSED TO BE THEN SHOP ADVANCED AUTO PARTS. If you’d like to get parts on time either source them online and wait for shipping or drive far out to get the parts yourself because I can PROMISE you, that if you order parts through “Advanced auto parts” you will not have them when they say, ever. I’ve ordered parts with these guys a plethora of times, it’s always late or the wrong part, even sometimes being the wrong part in the right box! Completely unreliable and employees aren’t at fault, it’s the company. Website said it was in stock pick up today so I call and they say it’s coming from Schaumburg (35-40 minutes away) and that it’ll be there in about 5 hours, great. I show up 6 hours later to give them some time and boom, parts supposed to arrive tomorrow. My roommate is the only person losing here because he can’t get to or from work without his vehicle, and it would be fixed if I didn’t trust their “delivery” and just drove to Schaumburg myself to pick it up. 0 STARS IF I COULD!

Went in to get a tool that they showed was in stock on their website. First counter person I went to told me that he's busy and I need to go to someone else. I did. That person attempted to find the tool I was looking for. He couldn't. Mr too busy intervened and said it must have come in on their order, but I could check back during the week when they had a chance to stock their order in. There's many other auto parts stores in McHenry, so steer clear of this one. Wouldn't want to be a bother.

Sent my wife to pick up an oil filter. Sent her a picture so she could show the kid at the counter. She gets there and he tells her they don’t have it in stock and she comes home. They had 20 in stock so I called and the kid said he looked up the wrong part number. I had to drive back up there and waste my time and gas cause someone can’t read. Ask led the counter person for a discount for their mistake and she said she can’t do anything . Don’t waste your time. They’re a reason they are closing stores all over the US. Save yourself time and a headache and go to NAPA

I was in the other day to the McHenry Store and I needed a few things wipers and antifreeze. I was immediately greeted by Joshua which was a surprise because on previous trip there no one insight. He immediately took my vehicle information and then he walked me over to the wipers and explained everything wipers and which ones he had his car and why. Then he showed me the antifreeze that was right for my car and why it was . When we got down to paying I was amazed to find out about the extra warranty for the wipers I have been coming for years and never knew this. He was amazing and to find out he was the GM, I would never have known because he took of everything from start to finish. Including installation. I was so impressed on this service that we once had in the retail world Joshua brings back customer to this industry. He multitasked and was also helping a few associates as he waited on me. I will be back again and so will y friends. Great job Joshua you earned a customer for life

Excellent service! Recently came in to purchase an alternator & TERRY really made me feel at ease cause I have little knowledge about car parts. He went above and beyond to ensure the part I was purchasing was the right one I needed for my car. Triple checked part numbers, tested them in front of me to ensure no defects, & ran a diagnostic on my car to find other potential problems. Will definitely be looking here for future auto parts

Place sucks. I go in there. See the female worker. Say hi. No response. There's no humanity in people anymore. No wonder you aren't busy here at all. Decided not to buy anything. I'll just go to AutoZone even tho they're busy.

This store is a joke used to only go here but now every time I do there is a problem.just placed an online order got the confirmation and when my wife goes to pick it up 30 mins later they can’t find it. Then give no solution to what I’m supposed to do . The employees here have bad attitudes like they don’t want to work . I will not be going back. Had to cancel my order and send my wife to auto zone where she was in and out in 5 mins after wasting 30 minutes in this circus.

Because of my car sitting too long, during this COVID-19, It didn’t start. And so I went to this McHenry store and had everything checked. To shorten the story up, I asked for and took the recommendation of Kelly and bought a good quality Die Hard battery and a 3 year warrantee. My car is a 2009 Ford Focus and it is in great shape. And I plan on using it for many more years and so it made sense to get a good battery. Kelly was professional, the store was clean, the service was fast and she installed it for me. This is what I call good customer service.Thank you Kelly!

Terrible customer service. I went in today looking for a wing nut to hold my battery down. The only only one they had that fit was like 5 dollars. Told the associate I wasn't paying that for a wing nut. The associate (Kelly) gave me a dirty look and I asked for some advice about my car that I couldn't get moving. (Turns out the rear driver side disc was caught on the shoes) . The only advice she had was to call a tow truck. Why is that the advice I get at an autoparts store? Isn't this where someone goes to buy parts to FIX their car? Not a place where the associates tell you to find a mechanic. Went to AutoZone to talk with someone who actually cared and was knowledgeable about cars. He told me about a few things that it could have been, and seemed generally interested in helping me with my issues. I will not be back to this store again.

Jim there took very good care of me and I was completely happy and satisfied and actually surprised how well I was taking care of. I didn't feel like I was being treated just like any other customer but every customer was important.

Every time I go here I am reminded as what great service is. The staff almost always is able to find what I need (I have a modified mini Cooper) and when they can't find it it's because it's a part I need to order from Europe(like I said modified). The best service and knoewlegable staff I've had experience with! SHOP AT THIS LOCATION!

Staff is chronically incompetent. Prior visit, had incorrect cabin filter ordered. A week ago, was recommended an oil pan gasket that was incorrect fit. Today, tried to make a purchase but of the four employees, only one was engaging a customer, the other visible three were hiding in back amidst the sound of toys. I suddenly seem to recall there are two other auto parts stores less than a mile away.
