Awesome customer service and dependable, quality work!

I had a dead rodent in ventilation system of my EV. Dealership wanted $199 just to diagnose. I called B&B and they took care of it along with unexpected disinfection of the parts to prevent any diseases that maybe be with the dead rodent. Such awesome service and pricing (all in was less than the diag fee)

Very honest people, fix any mistakes they make without charging extra. Prices are very reasonable and they are all very nice. I will not use anyone else for my car.

Great experience with B & B Auto. We've come to them with a few different issues now and they are nothing but professional. On top of being very friendly, they are extremely knowledgeable and even diagnosed one issue over the phone. Prices are extremely reasonable too! I wouldn't trust anyone else!

I was there in Mid January 2025 to have 6 sparkplugs and an ignition coil replaced. I knew this was the issue but they said they had to diagnose the issue. I was first told $300-400 by the weekday female in the shop BUT when Saturday (the day I dropped off my vehicle) rolled around I was told $609, which is astronomical! Phil did take the time to review the suggested pricing and lowered it $408. I was shocked at the initial pricing to be honest. In the end I think the price I paid was still a bit high. They spent maybe 90 minutes on my vehicle and also made sure the issue I told them it was, was in fact the issue....and it was. Not at all happy I was charged $95 to be informed that the problem with the vehicle was in fact the exact thing I said it was when I brought in the vehicle. Suffice to say, be sure to know what you should be paying because if I didn't, I would have paid $200 more than I should have. I have been bringing my cars here for repairs for several years now BUT after this it is hard to see how I can trust this shop. Takes years to build trust and one episode such as this to end that trust. After a bit of time to think about it, I have had this shop work on both our cars and they had been pretty fair and did the repairs quickly, heck the owner even gave me a ride back home on two occasions AND I don't throw away a good relationship on one bad experience so we will give them another shot if and when we may need their services.

Great experience! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I didn't have an appointment but they fixed my car immediately and for less than I expected. #1 Customer Service!

Since I bought my 2017 Hyundai in 2020 B&B has helped me know it was a great purchase and help me thu an oil crisis but Phil was a savior and everyone is very well trained. I’m proud to take my car there because I’m they will strive to always return it in nicer condition and any problems are non existent. Cody is awesome he tell you strait up this is what’s going on and gives you so many options for what we could do!

I have used B&B for over 5 years now for my diesel work vans. They’re honest & stand behind their work. Genuinely good people own & run this service. Phil the owner always makes sure to get my work vans finished for me fast so I can get back to work. I really appreciate that. If I could give 10 stars I would.

B&B is a rare find in the auto repair and service business..honest and fair. We have trusted our cars to them for several years now and most recently we received a recommendation from the dealer to have the brakes replaced. We took it to B&B for them to review and repair and they let us know that repairs weren’t necessary at this time. I’ve been doing business with B & B Automotive for over 15 years, and they always seem to have my back. Years ago, I had a frustrating experience with some work done on my vehicle, and I even went face-to-face with the owner over it. Looking back, had I just taken the time to call and express my concerns rather than make assumptions, I believe the issue would’ve been handled better—my mistake. The only understandable downside, they had to bump the labor up to accommodate the economy, but it’s been minimal. Today, I can’t recommend these folks enough. They’re honest, prioritize quality over quantity, and genuinely want to see their customers safe. I haven’t found any other place that comes close to the effort they put into my vehicle. If you’re looking for a trustworthy automotive shop, B & B Automotive is the place to go!

Not a fan and would suggest you stay away from this business. AC unit went out after just 3 years that they replaced. Response from representative of company was, yes they should last longer then that but warranty has expired and nothing they can do about it. Google search says AC units should last 10-15 years. Had them replace my Ac unit and bill was $772.39 of which was $458.70 for labor on a job that took less then 2 hours. Then the representative stated vehicle was due for an oil change and asked if I wanted to have that service done, I said no. Vehicle still had 2000 miles till oil change service required. They are there just for the money and not customer!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Dropped my explorer off for tire installation and alignment. After working in the industry myself for over a decade (diag/repair tech and shop manager) before retiring from it last year, it’s hard to find a shop that you can trust to do the work properly and honestly. Well, These guys nailed it. Alignment is dead on and they didn’t over charge like some other shops in surrounding area were quoting. These guys definitely will have my business again in the future. Keep up the good work!

Stopped in to get a tire repaired. Unfortunately, the tire was beyond repair. The crew was friendly and informative. They couldn’t get the spare lowered down do some type of lock in the mechanism. After all that, I went to pay them for their time trying to get my problem resolved. I was told no charge. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend them to people.

My vehicle was brought in for some needed repairs and maintenance. As expected, other issues were found, some of which needed immediate attention. The work was done quickly and professionally, at probably half of what the dealer would have charged. I won’t take my cars anywhere else.

Really efficient, communicative throughout process of my repair, and willing to listen to complaints and propose their solution. My car is old enough (BMW E39) that parts are no longer available from the dealer, so I was able to supply some simple replacement plastic parts from 3rd party manufacturer, was receptive to this caveat for non-mechanical parts. Received car back in excellent condition from alignment and cooling system problems, perfectly straightened the steering wheel back (not only tires straightened) AND providing a complimentary car wash which was not spoken about but was well-received. Thorough and programmatic handling of the customer requests, with a clear process.

This is my number one go to shop in the McHenry County area for any auto repair and service needs. I trust them to not only identify any issues correctly but repair or complete any services professionally. The staff is very friendly and professional, and you can tell they enjoy working here as well which tells you the owner cares about the full aspect of the business, not just making as much money as possible. They always go the extra mile when bringing any vehicle in for service. One of the times I bought my car in for tires and brakes and they noticed a dent in the bumper from a previous parking lot hit and run. They took the extra few minutes to pull out the dent simply as an added bonus for bringing the car in.

This is the best shop to take your vehicle in all of McHenry. My truck had some serious worng electric issues. That some other place could not figure out but I had it there for 4 days and fix it and it didn't brake the bank. Thank you

Treated great and Phil is terrific and Racheal is terrific. I was very happy with my first appointment for repairs in my SUV. They send you a complete analysis of your vehicle and list from green to yellow to red, in what doesn't and will or needs to right now be addressed. I am very thankful to finally have found a GREAT shop that listens to you and treats you with respect. I HIGHLY Recommend B&B💥💥💥

They do great work at a good price. Definitely a trustworthy establishment that is willing to deal with specific customer requests and prioritizing work needed. I feel like they could improve on providing status updates when the vehicle is left for multiple days. I feel bad having to call at the end of each day asking if my car is done yet.

Nothing but great service here. We found out about B&B a few years ago, and have been taking our Jeeps here ever since. Honest people, good prices, and top notch service. We go to B&B for all of our routine work, they accept our aftermarket warranty. 3/25/22 Took the Jeep in for a regear to a 4.56, and it was done perfectly. These guys are the best, and they care.

Took my car to B&B Auto for the first time, last month, and was very impressed with the service I received. Thank you for going above and beyond and getting my rearview mirror back up...it has not fallen off at all, and that was after having 2 other places before B&B attempt to fix it. Will definitely return here for any other issues with my car.

I live in the city and still prefer to take my car to B&B. They're that good. I never worry about getting told to do unnecessary work to my car at B&B. It's fair pricing, they're straight shooters, get the work done quickly, and the woman at the front desk is so on top of EVERYTHING. And, on top of everything, they send you a link with a full report on your car saying what's in good shape, and what needs to be worked on. I will continue to take my car to B&B, and highly recommend to anyone considering going.

I went here for the first time today for an emergency tire repair after running over something. The girl working at the service desk was extremely helpful and nice. They were very busy but still fixed the tire quickly, and is definitely the best price in the area for tire repairs compared to any other tire place I ever used in the past. I definitely will be coming here again for other future auto repairs that come up.

Phil and his guys and gals did a great job on my Ford F150! I set up my appointment online and it worked great. I had them do fluid replacement on front and rear differential, Trans, and transfer case. Then at the last minute they changed the front rotors and pads at my request. I was surprised they were able to get the brakes done because they were really busy and it was a last minute request. Thanks again for excellent service!!!
