Worked on my truck. They were friendly, and gave me a fair price. So far so good. Will be bringing my truck to them for further regular maintenance and work.
I’ll start with, I’m not a customer. My wife’s car broke down on Warrenville Rd today, and one of the mechanics stopped to see if we were ok. They also stopped back by to see if he could just jump it to get out of the road. Much appreciated, and obviously a great group of people.
Everyone here was so helpful. I left my car here in the morning and received a price quote in just a few hours. I got an oil change and now my car runs exceptionally well. Good experience all around.
I used Diehl for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection and was completely satisfied! The $75 price was more than reasonable for the piece of mind they gave me in not buying a vehicle that could have cost me thousands had I bought it. I would recommend them without hesitation; Matt, Greg and Jamie were all very helpful and the post-inpection email had full explanations with photos of all the issues they found. I would not buy a used vehicle without running it through Diehl's inspection process, and neither should you!

These guys are excellent. I brought a car in for a pre-purchase inspection. This was the 5th (and final- we bought it!) car I've done this for during this adventure and all the other mechanics did a fine job inspecting but these guys were incredibly thorough. There were at least 5 of them in the garage working on different vehicles. It was a beehive of activity. In fact, if there was a single drawback to bringing your car here, it's that they are so good everyone wants to bring their car here. Even with that, they were honest about the time it would take- and they stayed on the timeline they promised, incredibly- and got the car back to me in the time they quoted. And the price was more than fair for the service they provided. These guys are legit.
Sean was very friendly and helpful. This was the best experience I have had at an auto repair shop. They got you in and out for an oil change under an hour. The price was very reasonable I will definitely be coming here for all auto issues. I Highly recommend

Our family’s auto repair shop. They got us in the same day calling with a flat tire, repaired it, and waived the bill. Amazing service every time I go in.
Bottom line up front: I've taken my girlfriend's car to them twice now and they'll be my first call if I need work in the future on hers, or any of my cars that I can't do myself.
They're professional, reasonable, and responsive. The most recent visit was to get the AC working in a VW Golf (control solenoid valve needed to be replaced). I do all my own work but I don't have the reclaim equipment so I gave them a call and they accommodated me by offering to evac the system, let me take it to do the work, and then bring it back to do the charge. They also provided a quote to do all of the work for me while I was still on the phone, advised me of the benefits of replacement, but didn't push any up-sell when I said I understood.
I dropped the car off on the night of day 1, they had the car ready for pickup on day 2, and since I was busy with work they were able to take payment over the phone and leave the key for me in a lockbox on the night of day 4. I did the repair and dropped it back off still on the night of day 4, and the system was charged on day 5. Car picked up the same day and everything worked!
The thing that's really solidified them as my go-to now was how they handled a mistake. I want to stress that I have no reason to believe they make frequent mistakes, but just that everyone is going to make a mistake on a long enough timeline and you should never really judge a business until you've seen how they handle them: On the night of day 2 they left one of the windows on the VW slightly cracked (100°+ weather!) and it rained. They called me first thing on day 3, told me what happened, and while nothing was soaked they had sent the car to be detailed immediately so there would be no chance of mold. They didn't get defensive, answered all my questions, and when I asked about electronics they said they'd test everything in the door and cover any issues. When we got the car on day 4 we couldn't even tell anything had happened: no damage, no smell, no issues, and we were impressed.
This shop is the real deal, and that is very rare at this point. I'm happy, my wallet is happy, the girlfriend is happy, her cats are happy, and you should take your car to them.

When making my online appointment, I selected to drop my car off before work. They called me shortly after the shop opened and got my approval to do an inspection (broken AC). Called not even 2 hours later with a full inspection of my vehicle and a broken down quote to fix the problem. I did not go forward with getting work done here but I think it is notable how smooth the appointment process was and how thorough communication is within the facility itself.
Pretty simple measure of quality of service. Does a repair shop properly torque your lug nuts... Not here... Mine were torgued to 180-200 ft lbs. Spec is 80 ft lbs. How would anyone fix a flat on the road with lug nuts over torqued by more than double?
I shutter to think what other bolts aren't properly being torqued.
I won't be back.

Found out Diehl Auto Repair through a recommendation about two months ago. I had a bad experience at a tire franchise repair shop, took the car to Diehl and found that service advised elsewhere couldn't have been discovered by inspection. Got the necessary work done by Diehl at roughly half the previous shops price. Just got brakes and tires done on my car. Great price.
Diehl is my "I've got a guy" car repair shop.
A great auto repair facility. They honor their word and they are very talented mechanics. The team at this facility work together in tandem. They did a pre-purchase inspection of a used car that I was planning to buy and the inspection was thorough, personal call from the manager was great and the cost was much lower than expected. I will use this company again in the future!
Great service - even with the snags, everything went well and to the customer's needs. Really appreciate how you went far and beyond expectations. Came back for my Audi service. And if i can praise you all enough well done. Service advisor was super friendly and personable, the level of inspection details is fantasic. I have to say to management, well done on training staff. Price is super fair and really, its the level of customer service and friendliness that matters to most people to come back. I’m 37 years old and FINALLY found a shop that I trust!
I’ve taken my car so many places and have never felt confident/usually feel like I’m being taken advantage of. We’ve been so busy with life lately that I’ve been neglecting the awful squeaking sound coming from my car. I finally called Monday morning and was expecting to wait a week to make an appointment- but they were able to look at my car that same day!
I received an update hours after I dropped off my car - and they were thorough when explaining and didn’t make me feel pressured at all. I had to have quite a bit done and they had it completed less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. They made what is usually a very stressful process, extremely simple. I’ll never take the cars in my family anywhere else!!
Great experience at Diehl Auto Repair! My long term mechanic shop closed down a year back and I needed some muffler work done on my car (and was also looking for a replacement shop for the one that clsoed down). I wanted a local place and came across Diehl. The price, work and customer service was all fantastic! Car was repaired quickly, shop was great with followup and keeping me up to date on process and the after hours pickup was the icing on the cake, individual lockers for your keys. Will definitely be visting Diehl Auto Repair again, anytime I need work done on my vehicles!
Great shop. Fairly priced and honest. I’ve taken both of my cars here. One just needed a tune up - they did all of the work and at a much lower price than the dealership. They even suggested when something wasn’t necessary. It’s rare to find a mechanic that will do that rather than put more money in their pocket. I would absolutely recommend Diehl Auto Repair to anyone looking to have their car serviced.
I was in town to visit family over Memorial Day when the water pump on my car went out. On Tuesday morning, having made some phone calls, I discovered that many of the local repair shops were booked up. Diehl Auto Repair, while a little farther away, came highly recommended. When I called I talked to Jaime and explained my situation he told me to have the care towed in and they would check it out. Fast forward several hours. Although they too were very busy, Jaime called with a cost and time to repair estimate. As I suspected, it was a major job. When the job was done, the cost estimate was spot on. As for time to repair, the job was completed more quickly than I expected. Throughout the whole time, Jaime kept in touch with me and treated me like a long time customer instead of a one time out of towner. I appreciated that. And while I didn't have to spend much time waiting in the shop, I noted that everyone who came through the door was treated with the same respect and efficiency.
I would not hesitate to recommend Diehl Auto Repair.
I've brought more than one of our cars to Diehl on a variety of issues, from normal maintenance to larger repairs, and have always had a good experience. The maintenance and repairs have all been done well, the team is informative and communicates well, and I have always felt that the work was done at a fair cost. I highly recommend Diehl.
I wish I could give 10 stars. Gil at the Lisle location is always awesome to work with. He is really friendly and also honest about what is going on with my vehicle. Rick at the DG location told me that I should take my car to the Hyundai dealership since I was likely a candidate for a free engine replacement under the 100K warranty. He was right- I got a whole new engine. I wouldn’t have done that if he hadn’t suggested that. All of the people I have dealt with at either location have been wonderful. Their prices are more than fair, and my oil changes never take more than 30 minutes. My husband and I are very loyal to them. Thank you guys!
Let me say this first, I have a lot of friends in the automotive industry, so naturally I'm very untrusting, it's the nature of the business... But NOT With this shop AJ, Greg, and their whole team are OUTSTANDING professionals, extremely compent, and go way beyond any automotive repair shop I've found to date, they tell you like it is and don't try to upsell you with a bunch of stuff you don't need like MOST shops do and especially the stealerships ALWAYS do. ( if they say you need it, you do, you can trust them.) They have been taking care of my parents vehicles for many years (30+), ALWAYS they have done excellent work and at a reasonable/fair price. That being said I took my '07 trailblazer there for a almost impossible to diagnose electrical issue, they found the issues, fixed them (there were multiple).. and my truck is now home and running great and on Budget, on Time, with EXCELLENT communication throughout the whole process!! They have earned my TRUST, LOYALTY, and RESPECT, which I have to say is no small feat!
Mad RESPECT to Diehl Auto Repair, AJ, GREG and the whole crew. This is how a business should be run, and is at Diehl. They care about their customers, and their community which in this day and age is uncommon and RARE.They do it all and have the state of art tools, equipment, and most importantly the knowledge needed to service today's (nightmare engineered IMHO) vehicles. They go above and beyond and their customer service is second to none! If I could give 10 stars I would, I'm only sorry I didn't listen to my parents and take my truck there sooner...(you'd think at 53 years of age I would at least listen to my parents..still hard headed)
