I wrote a previous review gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Upon my most recent visit there, about a week and a half ago it was a different story. Was handed a check for $16. I know what I had in copper and believe me when I say I should have walked out with at least 40 bucks if not better, and even that would have been a lowball amount for what I had. I wish they would give you a printout of the weight but I don't we just been another issue that I've had with them. Anyways I will not be doing business with these people again.

It went rainy and nasty outside. Didn't bother them a bit. They were friendly professional and fast. Couldn't ask for a better group to work with.
After being paid $68.50 for 2,740 lbs of scrap metal asked why so little he told me that he only pays .02 cents per pound !! Absolute rip off !! I returned to question him about it and he said that’s all he pays cause scrap is out of season!! So ok I called 8 other yards around the area and no one gave me a price lower than $6.50 per 100 lbs meaning this man / business is stealing everyone’s money to take care of him self and doesn’t care about no one do the math he stole $109.60 from me and my family what a horrible experience!!
If your going to do any scraping take your hard work somewhere else don’t let this crook steal from you I can assure you I won’t let it happen to me again!! This honestly is criminal and should be monitored more closely by state and city authorities!!!

Great place for metal recycling. If you have some to get rid of, they will help you with fast service. I went there and picked some up for a project, same excellent experience. The location is very convenient as well.
I am reminded sometimes why some industries are just 3rd rate, 2nd class. I've literally only been to JCD once before, years ago. I just don't typically have a lot of metal to recycle. Well, I went again today, to recycle a bag of old trampoline springs. Probably about 20 lbs, so worth maybe $5. Still though, it was my $5. When I approached the man at the back of the building (with the red N. Oconee jacket), he asked if I wanted to get rid of the springs (duh, why do you think I'm here). He said I wouldn't get much for them, and I said that's fine. He proceeded to toss them in a bin, shake my hand, and say "have a nice day." I decided not to press for my money. Any business that assumes that I drove all the way to them only to give them something for free and not at least offer me money for my goods (regardless of how much), isn't worth my time. And they aren't worth yours.
FYI - I had plans to drop that $5 off with a homeless guy who's been hanging out behind the Loganville Racetrac. Oh well.
Horrible!! Stay away. Actually said" I'm not helping you." Asked why price for aluminum was .20 per pound when Georgia State average is .45. RUDE, LAZY AND EXACTLY HOW TO NEVER TREAT CUSTOMERS OR HUMANS.
It was closed on Saturday. Sign said 9 to 12 on Saturday. Going to recycling blaze in Lawrenceville Ga. Only day we can take recycling due to working full time. We sat there for 1 hour. Need to change there sign. Very misleading. Parking lot was full of people. We arrived at 8 40 a.m. first one there.
Great place and great people! They came out as I was unloading my scrap and advised me that I could get more money for certain items I had if I separated it.
I've been here a few times..never had an issue. Let's face it people...most of us are getting rid of junk not wanted. Be happy we have someone who will give you something for it. Call your curbside trash company and ask for their rates.......
I went by JCD earlier I experience quick and efficient service with all of my stuff. The guys there helped me unload and told me what all my items were and explained the difference in the pricing. Unlike last year where I went to another one in Lawrenceville where I was between 2 tractor trailers & did not know what I was doing. So nice to have it in our little town.
Well we took 1400 lbs today and got $21.60. He said it was .015 per pound only to find out that the going rate today is .10 a pound so we truly got ripped off. We will NEVER do business with them again.
I weighed 72 pounds of aluminum cans just before taking them to JCD. I know that my scales are accurate to 1.5%. That's 1.5 pounds per hundred. JCD weighed my cans at 55 pounds and the guy was doing his best to cover the ticket that had the weights on it. I had a few pounds of steel and an old broken lawnmower as well. Never did catch the price they gave me for those. They've always been good to me in the past and only off of my weight by a pound or so which i wasn't going to quibble over, but 17 pounds difference?! I guess the recycling business is in bad shape of they are now cheating they're customers by approximately a quarter pound per pound.
I would have to say I just got ripped off. I don’t normally scrap metal but today we went with a 6/12 trailer overflowing with scrap. Was never shown weight and handed a 17 dollar check.
Nice people and the yard is not bad either but if you want top dollar or the most for the money head to Conyers. I usually get double from the folks in Conyers than what i get from these folks. But unless you got a lot then its not worth your time.
Never been before, never will again. Got ripped off. I was never shown the weight of my aluminum and was handed $19. It was easily $50 for the same amount I take to newell
