ONE STAR, only because there is not a NO STAR choice This is by far the worst car repair place I have ever experienced! I have a 2001 Toyota Prius and it needed some electrical components repaired. I was told by them they handled electrical issues. I needed a Check Engine light turned off and my outside mirror adjuster fixed to respond and door lock issues. addressed The main issue was the gas mileage readout would not light up. I came back that same day to pick it up and after paying almost $2000, the service manager mentioned AFTER he processed my debit card, telling me that my dashboard was broken, and in his words, “It was my fault, because my car is so old.” Had he told me that this was a possibility, I would never have proceeded to replace the mileage component… The service manager at Nalley Toyota at Stonecrest told me my interior was in impeccable condition for it’s age. IT has been garaged since I bought it in 2001.. This service manager at TA took no responsibility for the mechanic breaking my dashboard.. I left in tears and before I got home the check engine light came back on. I called and made and another appointment for them to turn off the check engine light, which they charged over $150 to fix …. I was told it needed another part to completely fix it…so he ordered the other part.. I called in to set up another appointment after waiting most of the day, I called and said I need to pick up my car… He wanted to keep it 4 more days, he was working on the mileage component and not the check engine light… I told him I could not do without my car for 4 days…… I had no idea he was working on the mileage component again… I did not want my dashboard broke more!! He advised they sent the wrong part for the check engine light and it may be in next Tuesday…I told him that TA should take some responsibility for the dashboard since he never indicated that breaking the dashboard would not be their responsibility.. And why did I pay over $150 to fix my check engine light and it is still shining???. He said he would discuss the issues with the owner… the next week, I called and he said he had not heard from the owner yet and that he was a very busy man… I asked if he let him know it was a customer issue and he indicated he did.. It has been two full weeks and not a word.. A friend of mine brought her mechanic to my house for him to take a look.. He fixed the check engine light within 5 minutes by professionally repairing a broken wire next to the air filter, picture included.. He also advised the mechanic who worked on the dashboard apparently did not know how to properly remove the dashboard and that my dashboard was certainly not deteriorated and was in very good shape..picture of dashboard covered with scotch tape, which was TA’s fix, picture also attached. If you like your car and need electrical components repaired, please search for another company… Also the check engine light does not have parts, it is a wired system hooked up to all the engine parts.and has codes indicating the area that needs attention. I even asked TA manager if he could disconnect the check engine light and he said “No, you need to know when there is an issue” …. My response was ‘How will I know there is an issue if it is always on” My car has been devalued by TA tearing up my dashboard. and they got paid well to do it.. PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!

Mr.Kenny and crew were very transparent and performed all work as outlined. Great atmosphere and compassion in the customer setting. Would I recommend TA Auto? ABSOLUTELY!! Good folks to deal and communication was exceptional.

The Manager made the care job one and communicated step by step on the repair.. I will be back to have my oil changed next... Great service and comfortable waiting area...

This has to be the worst mechanic i ever been to. Im trying to fix my car through warranty. As a mechanic he should know the warranty company NEVER PAY OUT FIRST without the car being done. These idiots STILL asked my warranty company to cut a check for them to get the part i need. They charge people 100+ dollars to tell people what’s wrong with their car, where is that money going??? Wasted 3 weeks of my time dealing with these people. And tha kenny dude, a real liar. He will tell you he going to do something pertaining to your car and never do it. They had TERRIBLE communication, they never let me know what was going on, it was me blowing up there business phone trying to get updates

I brought my vehicle in for an oil leak and paid over $400, including $174 for a diagnostics. I was told that I needed to replace my Valve Cover, although I recently replaced this part prior somewhere else. They were sure it needed to be replaced again. I said ok and they insured me the issue was repaired, yet the vehicle was returned to me still leaking oil. If not leaking more oil. When I raised the concern, I brought my vehicle back. I was informed there was now an “additional issue/new Issue” and that resolving it would cost another $300. Rather than taking accountability for the unresolved repair, the manager insinuated the oil leak was possibly my fault after leaving the shop. Also that the issue was resolved. which was both inappropriate and unprofessional and dishonest. Additionally the manager offered a $12 discount, After me asking for my money back. Which felt like a mockery and dismissive gesture given the circumstances. I discovered the business advertises online coupons for returning customers who spend over $300($50 off) —information that was never disclosed. When asked about it, the manager stated he was unaware because he does not review the company website. That response is concerning for someone in a management role. That level of ignorance is unacceptable. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of transparency, incompetence and questionable service practices. My car is still leaking and I wasted hundreds of dollars. I would strongly encourage potential customers to proceed with caution and to thoroughly document all interactions.

TA Automotive was great. The shop is clean and the staff was helpful. My car was shaking. I brought it in for a diagnostic test. Wouldn’t you know, they found the oil cap had a crack. The staff (Ken) ordered another cap while I waited. Cap was replaced and no more shaking. I was offered to come back to do another diagnostic test to make sure everything is ok. Ken also gave me a courtesy list of maintenance items. Good job. Great service. I recommend TA Automotive.

Great service on our 2010 VW Jetta. It had a number of repairs needed on top of the regular service maintenance and TA Automotive of Conyers took care of repairing all that was needed. Thank you TA Automotive!

TA Automotive is my “Go To” place for all my vehicle repair and has been since they opened shop in Rockdale. The Staff are both very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly , and the costs are very reasonable. I trust them with confidence in fixing my vehicle quickly and correctly. If I could put 0 stars I would, I called them for a starter replacement on a 2003 Ford f150 for parts and labor because they won't allow you to bring your brand new part in and I was told $800 for that work, I then called 3 other shops in the area and I was told by all 3 of those shops that it comes up in the computer as a 1hr and 45min labor job and the charge would be $210 was the highest I also checked price parts and I can get a brand new OEM starter from the store for $200. If they are paying that much more for the exact same part that I am buying from the store that is their problem and the customer shouldn't have to pay that difference, if it's not the part then they should be ashamed of the amount of money they are trying to charge people. Please people do not go there call other shops nearby because I promise you the cost will be significantly less and all the shops that I called near them had great reviews

I honestly did not have a great experience. I had my husband take my car here just to diagnose what exactly was the issue. I didn’t realize that i would be charged $191 just for them to look at it. Once they told me I’ll have to pay the $191 plus the amt for the battery, I realized that almost $400 was gone for that service. Had I know there was a $191 charge just to look at the vehicle, i would’ve never had my car taken here. Also I only booked online because there was a pop up that said $10 would be off the service. $10 did not come off. I am out of $400. This was my first encounter and honestly I won’t be back.

I really regret using this shop. My grandmother had a good experience here, which is why I decided to bring my car — but it turned out to be a mistake. They replaced the fan and fan motor, but the fan was unbalanced and caused a bad vibration. I brought it back to Kenny multiple times, Kenny tells me, a fan wouldn’t cause the vibration , ok Kenny cool, you’re the mechanic I’m not, I’ll believe what you say, But the issue still needs to be addressed, because there’s still an issue about the fan being unbalanced, but they never fixed the issue. When I finally had time to leave my car for a full week (since they’re closed on weekends), they still didn’t do anything to resolve the problem. They sent me a diagnostics for the things that needed to be done on my car, which I already knew! That’s not what I’m here for! So you either weren’t listening to my concerns or just didn’t care! Either way it’s terrible customer service! The communication was terrible, and I could never get in touch with the owner, Henderson, I think that’s his name if I’m not mistaken — likely because my messages were never passed along. Overall, this has been a huge inconvenience and a disappointing experience. So here it is now months later, fan is still unbalanced which I’ll probably have to take somewhere else to get fixed because these guys dropped the ball … so that’s more money I’ll have to spend! Almost $700 and this is the service I get! You put your money and your trust in their hands and at the end of the day they just don’t care!

TA is always thorough and explain things that I may not understand. I really appreciate the links they send that tell you what they see needs worked on, and you approve what you feel they should work on so there is no misunderstanding. While car maintence can be expensive sometimes, they communicate well and I appreciate the communication and trust.

I was having some issues with a coolant leak, but my vehicle was not overheating. Without an appointment, I walked in and was seen right away. After a detailed inspection of the vehicle the problem was quickly found, coolant hose and an expanding water hose with bad clamps. Within a few hours, the issues were repaired, and I was back on the road. The Staff and Techs were friendly, helpful and very professional. I recommend TA Automotive for you auto repairs.

They had my car in there for almost 5 hours for a diagnostic then tried to charge almost $1k for spark plugs when I JUST got mine replaced 2 weeks prior. I made an appt with my regular mechanic but now my temperature gauge is doing things it wasn’t doing prior to bringing it here. Also they messed with my screen and changed the style & my rearview camera wasn’t working for a while once getting it from them. Idk what they have going on but I would not recommend this place to anyone I care about…

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! Incompetent and does not take accountability for their mistakes. I sent my car to TA automotive last year because my heat was not working. I was told it was the thermostat, and they proceeded to fix it. A few days later, they called and said the repairs are complete, but the heat isn’t working.(???) Instead of the thermostat, they needed to fix the blend door actuator, and they quoted me $1500. They refused to take accountability of replacing the thermostat “assuming” that was the issue. I left a negative google review, and was told to remove the google review, and they will replace the blend door actuator. The heat was working, but was taking awhile to reach a high heat. For the past few months, it takes the heat around 20 mins to kick in and it’s still warm, not hot. I decide to take it to another shop in Conyers, and was told they did not replace the problem to get the heat to work. Basically they did not finish the job or do a full diagnostic. It took her an hour to find the problem, yet TA replaced the wrong part TWICE!!!!!! 1500 and my heat still does not work. Oh and let me add, they THOUGHT it was the thermostat the first time around, they wasn’t 100% sure, and this came from the mechanic. A disgrace. Picture of their invoice and the invoice from Crowns Corner Mechanic(who pointed out their mistake). They are liars and cannot be trusted.

I had a REALLY good experience here with this company. The staff was welcoming and informative. I needed some work done to ensure safety of travels, they inspected and fixed my car perfectly! I had an emergency and had to run out of town, they kept my car safe in their garage until my return. Truly appreciate this business!

I received great customer service from the entire team. and it made me feel like they weren’t trying to take advantage like other shops. The young lady that works up front is really sweet and helpful and the mechanics I interacted with had great attitudes. Great customer service is hard to find I will definitely return.

I am very sad to give a less-than-positive review, but if I can save somebody else's money for them and it will be well worth it. I moved here in 2023 and took my daughter's car there. It seemed like her issue got resolved at that time and so I used them several more times for both vehicles. Two months ago, the low tire pressure sensor lit up on my dashboard, so I called and took it in. After almost an hour, the owner came out and told me that both the back tires had dry rot, and one had three nails in it. But something didn't sit right, and so I left without scheduling further service. I took it to a tire store to see what they had to say. What they told me was that they didn't see anything wrong with the tires, but they did point out that all four tires had different air pressures, all incorrect, so they fixed that for me. Two months have come and gone, and I've continued to drive the car with the sensor on, and my tires have held their pressure. Most recently I needed an oil change so I popped into Walmart and made an appointment for that and I also asked them to check the rear tires because of that sensor light. Imagine my shock when the mechanic informed me that there's really no dry rot to be worried about on the rear tires, that there is not one nail in any of my either of my rear tires, and that the problem is the sensors on both rear tires had stopped working and needed to be replaced. I felt so betrayed and I can't stop thinking about the thousands of dollars that I have spent getting work done at this place, not knowing whether it was necessary or whether they just did it because I agreed to it. This is a long story, but the end is this "buyer beware "I would definitely get another opinion before proceeding with any work at TA automotive.

Overall I had an ok experience. The staff was friendly enough, and they were able get me an alignment and replace 2 of my tires. They definitely can and will overcharge you so don’t be afraid to get a quote from a different mechanic. I was in desperate need of two services I got there, but they also tried to quote me about $700 brake replacement job which I knew was an up charge. They were pushing for me to get my brakes that day, but I called and scheduled an appointment with another mechanic. He charged $275 and did a great job. If you are in a pinch and need something done that day I’d say they are a good option, but if you feel like you got a ridiculous quote I wouldn’t be afraid to call around and see what other mechanics are offering. A 250% price difference is astounding. Staff is friendly, and waiting room is nice.

I thought that I had an expensive problem on my hand with my clutch pedal issue, however it was not as bad as I thought. TA Automotive had me up and running sooner than I thought and for far less than I was expecting to pay. They did a great service at an affordable price. This is my new auto service shop.
