They close the gate halfway 20 mins before closing, I work from 7-4 and don’t ever have time to dump when I get here. please keep the it open until 4:50
4 hours to unload. After getting paid for the incorrect alloy. Management made it correct. Austell location is not really set up for commercial customers.
I wouldn’t recommend going there. It takes forever. The only have one scale and you can even see it. You have to go almost behind them see the weight and then they minus a lot with the weight of boxes that you bring in Don’t weigh that much. They always get you about 3 or 4 pound today I took a Twinkie box, cardboard box, copper I seen the scale said 28 pounds. She put 26 Pounds, One Pound For The Box should’ve been 27, but The only pay me 25 pounds. Last time I talk to her what she did.Never Going Again they ripped you off. The only reason I went there cause those closer to my house. No More, the last time they got them.
I'm from out of town and had my wife to call around and check prices. M&M had the highest prices for copper wire and aluminum conduit. They were the most honest scrap yard I've ever visited in my life! Really wish they were back home where I'm from! Will never try another one when/if I come back to this area!!!
Truck driver didn't have a tarp over his trailer and was flinging sharp metal all over interstate and Sent a metal plate into the front of my truck. Chased down the driver because he refused to stop and got his license plate. Called the office to report him and the damage he caused and the person on their end said "just have insurance write it off as road hazard". It wasn't a road hazard, it was carelessness from the driver and not securing the load. Also, the fact they immediately said turn it in to insurance tells me this has happened many times before. Looking forward to your company paying my repair bills.
They just aren't friendly. This is second time They point like you are supposed to know where and what to do . More signs explaining what you need to do as a customer.
It's a place to recycle metal scrap. No significant customer service, but honestly wasn't expecting any to begin with. My reason for 2 stars is the fact that they advertise open until 4:30 but stop taking people by 3:45-4:00 at the latest. Wasted a couple hours and took time off of work to have to make a trip twice.
4 time getting nails and screws in my tires each time I've went here I've had to replace at least one possibly two tires each time it's ridiculous especially for 30% less than what you can get at pretty much any other recycling place it may be closer to me than any other recycling place but definitely not worth it
I pulled up at 4:05pm. The large sign on the building shows a closing time of 43 (I'm guessing 4:30p) for Monday thru Friday. A man asks me what was I bringing. I advise a catalic converter. He asks if I have any paperwork showing that I purchased a replacement. I get my receipt. He then tells me they are closed. I point to the sign and say "the sign says 4:30" he looks at the sign, then points to a printed sheet of paper inside the garage door that shows a time of 3:45p. I tell them they need to change the outside sign because that is what people see. The man was holding the box that had my old catalic converter. He said that he would let the other man tell me (about the closing time). The man from the back comes out, looks at the catalic converter and my receipt, looks at me and says, "Yes we can take it. It's good. Come back tomorrow at 8a." Again, I advise them their sign says 4:30p and it's still not 4:30p. I asked him for a different scrap metal place. He advises that they are all closed. I tell him I didn't ask their hours, I asked location. He tells me to use Google. This place has HORRIBLE customer service.
