It's a great location on the lake but the inside is frightful! It was nasty and dirty and moldy and falling apart. It doesn't look like it's been cleaned in years. Wyndham, you need to look into this!

Had mold in the condo told the front about it they did nothing didn't move us or anything until after we sent them this letter and we was leaving didn't even stay the hole time no reimbursement of cost of the time we was supposed to stay people running the place didn't care my 6mo grandson was starting to have issues with his breathing do not stay at this place

Talk about tucked away in private this location was very tucked away. They need to update and remodel their units. They had no fitness area for indoor exercising I was very disappointed about that. They need to also update their website on the different things that come in the room and that you're supposed to get it was not the same.

I love Fairfield Plantations! This was my third stay. The staff are great. I always choose Tara Cove for the beautiful lake views. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

Nature and lake are gorgeous. We stayed at Tara Garden Loft and as said by everyone before: everything is outdated. Beds are comfortable but furniture, carpets are dated, electrical wiring for hair dryer was out. Place is clean though. Be aware: internet signal is in range from weak to none. No internet 95% of time. We were there New Year's eve so it was kinda frustrating. Staff is great.

We stayed in the Lake Tara Villas, the check-in process was easy but the units are in disrepair. Not up to the Wyndham standards. We asked about driveway lights out, reported running toilets early on in the stay with a ‘thank you’ from staff. During a rainstorm each unit had significant puddles inside from roof and window leaks, 2/3 units we were in we think had animals living in them. The actual area is in the middle of a gated neighborhood that takes at least 10 minutes to get out of, and another 10 to get to anything around.

We had a lovely and relaxing time at Tara Cove, and especially enjoyed our screened porch overlooking the lake. The front office staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the golf course and Marina restaurant. Great place for a rural area vacay when a relaxing time is desired.

Our overall experience was great. We stayed in Tara Gardens. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Sheets and blankets all looked clean. The house itself was great. The pool and beach area are nice. Keep in mind that these are both small areas. I waited until we had the pool to ourselves because it gets crowded easily. You have to walk across the road and it's a couple minute walk. There's not extra parking. We had a minor issue with the shower and maintenance was there fast. Everyone was friendly and kept in touch to see if we needed anything. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the beds were not comfortable. I don't know if all the beds are hard or if we just stayed in a house with very firm beds. Wi-Fi isn't great if that's something you need.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a excellent get away from the busy city and is in a great location. We visited the Georgia Aquarium and spent time downtown Atlanta on one day. Another day we went to Six Flags of Georgia. We spent a day at the Arbor Place ( a very large Mall to shop and eat at). A couple days we just enjoyed playing games and the view of the lake. It wasn't what we are use to with Wyndham but the antiquated look wasn't bad. It made me feel like I was visiting my Great GreatGrandPartens. ? However, we had many outlets to charge our phones and etc... My husband and GrandTeens didn't like the small TV's but somehow they had fun playing the Wii Game! (You will need to make sure you bring the convertor to hook up to the HDMI to AV if you have the AV Wii. We always carry ours with us.) I would recommend if you want to get way from the city it is a great place to stay. By the way if you own a boat it would be worth bringing it. Get the information from Wyndham in order to check in with the company to put it on the water. It is a great place for relaxing.

Tara Gardens is the place to stay here in Villa Rica. The units are so cool, with loft beds and a very nice shower in the master bath. It's a very nice place to rest and relax. There is plenty to do nearby in Atlanta and other towns. Don't miss the nice nature trail they have over by the dam behind the marina.

This quiet but dated timeshare is a wonderful retreat from the busy vacations typical of modern timeshares being built in urban centers and downtowns. Built when units were actual condos instead of glorified hotel suites, it has plenty of room to spread out during your stay. Over the years, many of the units have been sold off, so inventory is limited; however, we've not had trouble getting what we needed within recent years ever since Wyndham built it's new timeshare in Atlanta's downtown near Centennial Park. It didn't rank higher with me because it feels a bit dated and doesn't offer much in the way of resort amenities like mini golf, game rooms, indoor pools open year round, etc. But if a leisurely pace at a quiet, uncrowded resort is your speed, then give Fairfield Plantation a try.

There are not nearly enough accurate reviews of this beautiful place! When I first booked through Vrbo, I was skeptical that it was too good to be true. I felt this way due to the reasonable price and the reviews. Let me tell you, it was true! This place was PERFECT for our family. It was so clean and nicely decorated. They think of everything that you will need, right down to the tiny salt and pepper shakers. There was coffee, filters, popcorn, all the kitchen essentials, laundry soap, shower gel, soap, extra garbage bags, and tp etc.! They didn't forget a thing. The condo is climate controlled and SO comfortable. Our family of 4 each had their own space, but it will comfortably sleep up to 8 people. There are 2 full baths and one 1/2. The master suite has a whirlpool tub that we enjoyed. The screened in porch was perfect with a view of the lake and pool. The sunsets were breathtaking! One really neat thing that they have are journals dating back to 2002! Many families that have stayed there have written about their experiences. It is a must to read! The marina is walking distance for a great meal. My husband and son also caught a lot of fish while we were there. Finally, the check in and out process was a breeze! You will get instructions on what to do only a couple days prior to your trip. Do not panic! You will receive a text with a person you can contact whenever throughout your trip and they check in on you once to make sure all is well. Everyone was so friendly. If I were to give any negatives it would be the goose poop. There are many beautiful geese all over, but it makes for a messy walk and stinky beach at times. Also, there was a lot of construction going on that was loud while we were there, but none of this took away from our great experience. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area. We stayed here for 2 nights in May on our way home from FLA to PA via traveling to TN. We arrived after dark on our first night but we woke up to a beautiful setting overlooking the marina and the lake. We loved all of it...the unit right on the lake at the Tara Villas ..especially the screened in porch ..the Dockside Marina restaurant.....the surrounding scenery...and the service ! Wished we could have stayed longer. Would highly recommend checking out The Red Dog restaurant nearby.

Stayed here for the weekend to go to Taylor Swift concert. The villa was very nice and had everything we needed and plenty of room for the 5 of us. We ate at the marina restaurant for supper on Friday night and the food was great. Live music was a plus also! Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway with golf and fishing. Also has a beach but I didn’t get to see it. Only about 30-45 minutes from downtown Atlanta.

We have family members who reside in Fairfield but we were there for a graduation. I decided to rent a villa by the lake to enjoy the Memorial weekend. The villa was very spacious, clean, and exceeded our expectations. I truly enjoyed the screened in porch where we sat listening to music being performed live from the Marina. We will definitely book again soon!

We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite with a screened in porch overlooking Treasure Lake. The suite was clean and inviting with special touches such as coffee table books about the area. We were visiting the first week of May. The area was quiet and relaxing. Not sure if this would remain true during summer months. We plan to visit again in the future and perhaps bring a fishing pole!

We just left this beautiful property and truly had a wonderful time. We stayed in one of the cottages which was very spacious and clean. We loved the plantation shutters that made our cottage so light and we could see the beautiful lake from the balcony off our bedroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful on the couple of occasions that we had a question about the area or the internet. We had dinner at the marina on-site one evening and the food was very good. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful place, this it. We will definitely return!

I decided several months ago, to spend my birthday at Fairfield Plantation. I expected the weather to be cool in January, but when we saw this rainy freezing cold front moving in, I almost canceled! I'm so glad I went ahead and made the trip! Our villa was snug and cozy! So comfortable and nicely decorated! Honestly, the nicest place we've stayed in some time! I braved the chill one day and walked a couple miles on the lake. It was beautiful. Next time (and there will be a next time) we will come when it's not quite so chilly, so we can enjoy the balcony!! And next time I want to have one of the units on the lake. Can't wait!! Only one thing wrong with our stay..it was way too short!!

The place was exactly what a husband and wife needed who have 2 kids amd crazy work schedules. The place was equipped with everything we needed. Clean and quiet area. My favorite spot was the screened in patio. It was so nice in the morning reading our bibles and enjoy the water sounds and birds. In the evening we played cards before going to the dockside marina for dinner. The place could have used a deeper clean and we had 2 visitors(spiders) but it was a thing we could get passed. The marina restaurant was so friendly and had some good food. Me and the husband will be back.

Originally I had reservations for my daughter to stay here. She lives in Phoenix Arizona but could not come.. So instead of letting the room go I decided to stay myself then I could get a truthful Experience to tell her. It was hard for me to decide to do it ,but because I'm frugal I could not let the money go , so I showed up. And to my surprise I am so glad I did. 1st of all the staff was so wonderful just beyond your imagination!! I have not had that kind of customer service in a long time. When I got to my room and found things that they should know about they even gave me their pager number. Sorry I mean phone number I guess I'm telling my age. Moving on everything was wonderful the place was clean quiet well kept it was so nice that I never did do anything except relax. The only thing that I can think of that could stand improvement would be the mattresses. My stay was from August 30th through September 3rd 2021. I forgot to say that the screened in porch was my favorite!

This is such a beautiful private resort community! All gorgeous homes everything is well maintained and manicured. We stayed in a spacious & clean villa right on the lake and it was so charming and perfect ! The lake is clean and glimmers so beautifully! We were 2 lake homes away from the Marina Dockside bar and restaurant and ate there which I highly recommend as well as on the weekends after we left and sat outside to fish at night could still hear the live music which was awesome! This is a fun refreshing yet relaxing resort! They also have the country club with several lovely amenities! There is a couple other pools and beach areas to enjoy as well. :) enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

We had an awesome time. The condo was very clean and I was very pleased to find a washer and dryer. I enjoyed the huge jacuzzi tub and my own private screened in porch. My boys enjoyed being right there on the lake. We will definitely visit again!

Rating Field: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have been there as a couple, as a family and with friends. We have shared laughter, great memories, delighted in catching some very nice fish while listening to the music and laughter from across the lake while lilted boats sailed by. We even found a very nice restaurant with delicious home town food near by, a day shopping for antiques and some bowling. A relaxing massage topped off with a delouses sea food dinner in our fully equipped unit. Our last visit was during the start of the pandemic however it was enough space between the units and at the lakes to feel quite safe during our 7 day stay. We will definitely be back for more. I'd actually like to say 3.5 star. It's a nice place and we would definitely go back there again but there were just a lot of small things that kept us from rating it higher. Check in isn't until 4 and the office closes at 5 so that's a very small window. Nowhere in the info we got did it say the office closed at 5. You can check in by the security gate but once again in our emails that isn't mentioned. You have to find the office get out and walk to the door to see the sign. The security person was extremely polite and helpful but not your typical welcome we were expecting. Then from the front gate its a 10 minute drive to get to the resort/rooms. Had they directed us to the east gate it was maybe a 2 minute drive instead. The area is quite dark (nice once you're there) but trying to locate your building is quite frustrating when you can't see the numbers. Once in our unit we were fairly happy. Once again it was little things. The sink in the one bathroom didn't work but it was just a few steps from the kitchen sink to wash up, plus there's a second bathroom. The room was clean but did show some signs of aging. Wallpaper was peeling and carpet was worn but still nice and cozy. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the 2 screened balconies were great. We ate breakfast on one every morning and watched the sunset from the other. The kitchen was nice and has plenty of dishes, pots and pans plus a good sized dishwasher. The master bath was equipped with a jacuzzi tub and shower. Both worked but it you take more than a 15 minute shower ( like my wife) you end up with cold water. One last small thing is there are no grills around these units. That's not the end of the world but just a feature that would have been nice. I know I'm sounding like a whiner but I just want to be specific as to why I didn't give them a higher rating. Like I said we'd be happy to stay there again and none of these things ruined our stay its just some little details that if addressed could make your stay a 5 instead of a 3.5.

My husband and I stayed here last week and we absolutely loved it. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful, and the view of the lake was stunning. Once we got to our unit, we were welcomed with warm southern style decor which made us feel right at home. We can not recommend this little piece of paradise enough!! We will be back again.

This place is the best kept secret! It is so quiet and relaxing with the clear and tranquil lake. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. Tami at the front desk was phenomenal and assited us with a Villa without steps. The Villa was clean and beautifully decorated. The air conditioning went out on a Sunday, yet they called someone in immediately to repair this. We had a great relaxing vacation and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. We are looking forward to a return vacation at Firfield Plantation Resort!

While my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort, you could tell that the condos could use updating. The kitchen was nice, but the bathrooms and rooms seemed a little outdated. Also, the room wasn't very clean at all. I expected much better. There was a bug and crumbs under our bed and the jacuzzi looked disgusting. There was dirt in the spouts and hair. I was really looking forward to relaxing in the jacuzzi, but after that, I stuck to showers. We had an early check-in which I notified the resort of well in advance. When we arrived, while checking in we were told that our room was being cleaned and prepped for us. After seeing the room, it was clear that the housekeeper did not clean thoroughly at all. Aside from that, the area was very peaceful and well kept. :)
