They are very frustrating to deal with, they won’t take scrap steal but they don’t say that anywhere till you get there. The man you deal with is truly an individual I don’t want to deal with again
Went today and had another bad time. The person running to scale house is rude and doesn’t know how to do her job. Wouldn’t let me thru because she doesn’t understand what was on my trailer. Been taking the same stuff there for 20 yrs and today will be my last time wasting my time going there. Management needs to train her how do her job.
On the one hand, the ladies at the scale and the cashier were very nice and helpful. However, the guy in the back that was supposed to direct & help us unload never bothered to lift a finger or knowledge I was there. He spent all his time talking on the phone. Also, their prices are about 1/2 of other recyclers so I’ll drive a little more to (to make more).
They need to be aware of what one location is saying and doing ...and the front desk worker and the guys in the back at the ferris metal area at rude and unprofessional! Will never do business with them and be sure to pass the horrible service on to all I know
RIP offs !
Been here so many times before had over 100 pounds of brass because a few pieces weren't clean & separated they wouldnt give us the 1.55 a pound instead gave us 63. A cent for those few pieces being in with the clean. Ridiculous.
Also no longer give checks make you use a prepaid Visa card.
POOR SERVICE
We moved from Fl and called around to find the best prices in Macon, Schnitzer had the highest rates. Everytime time I call, Gina answers the phone politely and takes time to accommodate me in a personable and professional way. Although their prices fluctuate with gas prices, they are always fair and reasonable with our loads. The office always greets my husband by name and makes sure our girls always get their mints. We will continue to do business with them during our time in Ga. Check them out!
The staff was courteous and very efficient at helping me. Even though I arrived late in the day and pretty near their closing time, they helped unload my truck and promptly paid me for my scrap. They even gave me two peppermints with my check!
