Dropped off a single large outdoor metal swivel chair that had rusted badly so only got $1.50 but avoided disposal! However every person there was helpful and friendly!
They ripped me off!!! I gave them a whole spool of cable with copper underlying it. They gave me 8.50! I just drove away as I wasn’t worth my time to deal with them after waiting an hour in line to give them the cable. They are thieves. Go somewhere else.
Told I could drop off till 4:30. Got there at 3:30. They closed the gate on me. Last person 420 I was literally next in line . Also like most salvage yards normally do they didn't they never came around and told me who's the last truck. Don't take your recycling here go elsewhere too many people in town to play games.
My husband “was” happy dealing with them till today when they undershot clean metal by $130 in The office. He had them hand it back, he’ll find an honest company to deal with. Know your prices, don't let them separate till you have it- or they say once it’s dumped you cannot get it back! Shady is for the streets.
I usually always have a good experience except the fact that they do not tell you the price of anything until after you get the window. I had batteries and I did not know you would get little for them here and I could get a better price elsewhere but I offered to bring back the receipt and money just to take my batteries back I just left the window and I guess what is done is done. So just make sure you look around before you leave your things.
Went there at 410. Waited on line 415 a person walked by saying they close gate at 430. 430 gate closed. Just wanted to get rid of water heater and scrap metal. Drove to front and told lady in office we just wanted to drop it off did not care about the money. She spoke on walkie and forklift came out the man took it to back. Next thing she paid me. I was so surprised how nice they were. The lady in office said as a hint don't come after 4. That is when that place gets real busy.

Clean not scammers like other outfits in town. Nice people and quick not rude like the others. No nails or screws in tires because it's a professional place. Others in town not so much and you know who you are. Thanks GLE keep up the great work
They aren't open on my days off so I've been racing over here after I get off work at 4 and they close at 430. Finally make it there in time on my 4th attempt. One worker comes out and says we only have until 430 so there's a chance we might not make it in. Then a 2nd guy comes out saying the same thing. Then they turn me and another guy away and close down early at 415. Employees lied and seem to be just flat out lazy. I'll find somewhere else to go from now on

Very nice scrap yard. I Happened to follow a roll-off driver on the way in. He was doing a good job and was obeying the speed limits. Unlike these other nuts on the road.
Best Scrap Yard in the south east. Conveniently located and easy to get thru. James Griffin is the best at what he does and you should tell him daily. He has improved all sections of the yard and made scrapping for a woman extremely easy and pleasant. Thank you James!

Gotta say my family has been coming to GLE for years, you probably know well I mean you do know my uncle Macintosh Mobil metals. Glen and my brother Carlton but anytime we come it's always smooth and quick and safe environment. Love this place great service guys are honest and hardworking quick to help unload . I bring all my specialty cleaned sorted metal here best prices in the area !Okay for tin scrap to if you don't mind filling a metal container if you can't lift the guys in the yard are quick to step up and help!

GLE is the most user-friendly of all the scrapyards in daytona beach. the employees are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. the customers respond in kind and are patient respectful. prices paid are mostly higher or at least equal to the other yards, with a small handful of items higher at the other places. only drawback is that only one vehicle at a time can enter the yard, so a line tends to form to get in. no problem for me as i use the time to do my phone chores.
Great customer service guys here are great! Not only are they good people, but they also are very competitive with their prices for scrapping A+ for me. I’ve been scraping here for eight years.
We had like almost 30 lbs of completely striped down copper wire from a heavy duty extension cord and they literally gave us $13!!!! They gave us the price per pound of copper wire that’s not been stripped of the insulation or is frayed and damaged from hat I can gather. I spent more in gas to go take the stupid wire there then they gave me. I feel like they robbed us for real.
My family has a big canned soda habit that adds up to a lot of cans. Bag them up and take them here. Better for the environment and money in your pocket$$
They were super friendly and helpful to this first-timer. Drive-thru was convenient and they even helped unload. Highly recommend!
Take advantage of people who don't know what they have. REALLY Paid me .07 per pound for window AC UNITS , I'm not from around here but , y'all really paying steel prices for 5 plastic/COPPER ALUMINUM ac units , what percentage of a window ac unit is STEEL?? APPARENTLY THE WHOLE THING Same price paid for bicycle frames as ac units? Ridiculous . DO BETTER. Workers were very nice professional respectful though. Where is the response from the owner???? Explain this!!! What you trying to do here????
Place is awsome! My first time ever going to a place like this so I had a lot of questions. The staff was so nice, took there time to answer all my questions and helped me unload. Covid friendly too, all had masks and that's not easy to do working outside in the FL heat. Thank you GLE keep up the great work.
