It's a shame that most of these reviews are based off of prior owners and employees. The daytime driver Dave, was prompt and respectful and treated my vehicle as if it were his.
Traveling alone and mechanical problems are not what I wanted! But that’s just what happen. Recommended by my car mfg,, Sanford Towing helped me in a crisis. My vehicle was properly handled and the nice gentleman gave me an ease about the whole ordeal. Thank you !
Excellent service was provided in a timely manner. My battery did not start on my car when i came out ofI Costco I called Sanford towing and they we're at Costco within 15 minute time frame and installed my new battery Previously I called them for a flat tire and they towed me to Sam's Club within 15 minutes of my call. I would use them every time I need a tow. Thanks for the help!!
When my car was towed here after an accident, it was so simple and easy to do business and get in and out!

WOW! Tried hard to talk with this place about a towing contract for our site. The message says "...do not leave a message, call us back." WOW!! When I finally got a person, they were beyond rude. The only thing, the *only* thing any towing co has to sell is fast response and service. I don't believe this place knows about either.
We called for a tow didn't have an idea of really where we were please call for a tow truck we didn't really know where we were we were about 45 minutes headed home and broke down. Very very fast getting there we had a couple people that were in need of an EMT so he gave us our location his name was Dave Dambroski he went over and above anything a tow driver would have done for anybody he was an amazing man very informative very patient I don't know what we would have done without him he kept us all in good spirits kept us safe and treated us like we were part of his family he was an amazing man so make sure you ask for him and again I want to thank him we use the tow service on July 5th Robert Diana April Patty and Carla thank you so much from North Carolina
EDIT: The old owner passed away. I haven't heard much good since then Blonde gal in office gets lots of complaints. New owners own several tow companies. I think they might have a good system and business, but it is attitude from that one person that hurts them. I bet most tow companies get bad reviews, because there are rules, laws, and let's face it, who likes to get their car towed? (End of edit) Thank goodness they have always been there when needed. Furthermore, if I were ever to leave my car in a place where they had a legal right to tow it, or as lady said they towed her husband vehicle because the plates were expired, which I assume was against the rules at their gated community I would not leave nasty comments just because I got myself into that predicament. It is not their fault if you are in an accident, or someone using your vehicle is in an accident, and then you can't afford to pay their bill. This world has become so awful that we lash out at those who won't save us from ourselves. I have used several different wrecker companies over the years because sometimes I call who my roadside assistance is with my insurance company. The wrecker drivers are about the same caliber across the board, no worse, no better. I believe the reviews here are very unfair, and most of these customers are probably disgruntled because of their own actions. I am old enough to have heard it over the years how people are furious with tow companies because they charge them to do their job. They parked in the wrong places and are Furious when the tow companies under contract tow them. People want to go and get things out of their car, when they are not the registered owner, and this isn't allowed, etc., etc., etc.
DO NOT USE! I wish zero stars was an option. Called at 4:08 to request a tow from the side of I-4. Was told it would be 30-45 minutes. Called at 5:10 for an ETA as we needed to get to a shop before they closed. Dispatcher said they were on the way. Called back at 5:50 to get an arrival time and see if they thought we could make it to shop by closing so if we weren’t I could make arrangements with the shop to drop the car. The new person told me the truck was dispatched at 5:11. I asked about a discount for the delay on handling my call and he said he was cancelling the tow. I asked to speak with a manager, he said he was the owner and hung up. I called back and spoke with someone else and he said the owner was not on premises. Not sure what they are doing but the 1.9 star review they have is accurate if not overstated.
The lady who take care of me there was the sweetest person I ever met and she took care of me so quickly. She even listened to me drone on about what happened. I highly recommend them!
These are the people that the Sanford police used to tow my wife's vehicle when she got rear-ended in a car accident. They got the vehicle removed from the scene quickly and stored the car in their lot. We had to go to the lot to get some personal items out of the vehicle when we got the news that the car was being totaled. They welcomed us in took some information down, let us go back in their lot to remove our stuff, had us sign some paperwork and we were on our way. I haven't had any other experiences with them.
Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Never had such a bad experience with a towering company, don’t ever use them. I saw the reviews and ignored it because they were the closest, but I was sadly mistaken. They are very rude, and attempted to over charge me. Don’t go with them, if you want to save yourself some trouble.
Do not use. Terrible customer service. Called and was placed on hold for 35 minutes. Then when they arrived and picked up my vehicle, they scratched the bumper and claimed it was there the whole time. (yet anyone can see how fresh the scratch was)
Very poor service from this old man who came to tow a car. He made several accusations against my wife and kids about the car we were driving and warned us it was not safe to drive and we could have a very bad accident. He pleaded for a larger tip after the ordeal was over too what kind of nerve does this man have !!! DO NOT GO HERE
One of the drivers cut me and my friend off and when we got infront of him he proceeded to run into the back of the car. Thank god no one was hurt but you guys seriously need to get workers who know what the hell they are doing. The car he was towing was also at the edge of truck about to slide off. That is a serious safety hazard.
I would give less than one star if possible... Absolutely the worst company I’ve ever used for towing. This old guy who couldn’t even drive standard transmission told me my car was broken and worthless and needed to just get a new one and get couldn’t tow it... do not recommend ever!

Totaled my car, Florida Highway Patrol called this place to tow me. They held my car, went to sign the release, and they handled everything with the insurance company. Great folks too.
Worst company in the state of FL. Went there today to look at the vehicle I had towed to their yard yesterday after an accident. Lady came to the window and I asked if I could take some pictures of my car and get some things out of it. She said that the person who could do that was out on a call and would be back in about 30 min. She said I could wait for him to return. Just over an hour later a guy showed up parked and went inside. After another 20 min I finally got him to come to the window. He stated that there was nothing he could do and I could not get to my car. I mentioned what the lady had said and he stated that she did not work there and was just his wife who knew nothing. He was very rude and completely unprofessional. He told me that he had told me on the phone earlier that I could not get to my car today. I told him that I had not called there and he told me I was a liar. He then slammed the metal colsure down and walked away. Completely horrible service. I will be contacting the FHP to file a claim to have them removed from the list of tow companies they call for accidents. I recommend NEVER using this company.
I would give them a half or a quarter star if i could. They are the worst Towing Company in the world! They towed my car from my own complex in a parking spot that wasnt an unauthorized spot. Then had the nerve to be rude when i had to go pay them 172 to get my car! Sorry company rude ppl reporting them,they will not be going into 2018 being crooks.
Most unprofessional place ever! Barbara has the worst customer service skills I’ve ever encountered face to face. Their fees are excessive & they even charge to pull the car out of the tow yard just to get more money. I definitely will be reporting them to the BBB and I will NEVER use their services again
These guys are terrible. They towed my car and damaged it unloading it. Scraped my front bumper and then a guy who already said he wasn't there at the time, argued that the damage was already there. He got so defensive and started cursing telling us to leave. Purely unprofessional and trashy people. The company should be embarrassed by this but considering the type of people they hire and their operation, they have no pride. Use at your own risk.
Im 62 senior on social security disabilty i was out of town my son had an accident with my van my car totaled my son was innured slightley. Sanford towing and recovery has my car on May27 2016 I talk to a Barbara i told her my ins is liabilty she said oh u owe us money its 370.00 now. I said I dont have that kind of money I get 895 a month she said well in 30 days we will put a lien on your tag an nwver get a car again. Let alone i lost my car Im disabled an now strip me from driving. She off to tow my car to TMC why couldnt they rake my title get some of the money an bill me balance she had no compassion an rhis not my fault sometimes helping disable senior would be nice.
First of all in regards to Mr. Felix we have only done private property tows due to his continuous illegal parking. Sanford Towing has had numerous altercations with him and him only.We have been in buisness for a little over 30 yaars and will continue to treat our customers with the up most respect.
I had some damage done to my vehicle, that I suspected was done while unloading my vehicle. I talked to Fred (the owner I assume), and he told me he doesn't deliver to the place i had my car delivered, and that I had the wrong company. After I emailed him photographic proof that it was his truck, and sent him pictures of the damage, he denied all possible responsibility.
I have talked to several other tow companies, who said it most definitely could have been caused by a tow company. Fred would not even entertain the possibility. After yelling at me, he said he would not listen to my idea of a solution, and hung up. I was going to propose he refund my tow bill, and we call it even. He would not even hear me out.
There are too many tow companies to deal with to take your chances with this place. AVOID AT ALL COST.
A Terrible experience I would avoid at all cost, the wrecker was very sloppy and unprofessional. They were very rude as if I was wasting their time yet gladly took my money with pleasure. They leaked fluid all over our street and driveway and scratched all the brick in front of the house, my car now drives shaky. I drive a one year old car with only 11k miles, the car was fine prior to the tow. Again I would definitely look elsewhere for help or a tow these guys will cost you more in the end and you will not have a pleasant experience. They are very dirty and sleazy looking I would be very careful if you are a woman my wife was scared especially the way they were looking at her she felt very uncomfortable. If you have to have them tow you make sure you have a friend or companion to be with you and watch what they are doing because they do not and will ruin your hard earned property!!
We locked our keys in our car at the SC Apple Festival this weekend. I called Sanford and they arrived in less than 10 minutes, opened my vehicle for me, all the while having pleasant conversation. When I got my keys and asked how much I owed them, the gentleman replied with a friendly handshake, smiled, and said "have a nice day sir". Such a pleasant ending to a normally irritating event. I was so pleased with their service, and not just because they did it pro bono. Thank You!
