They repo people's cars when they only have a lil small payment left and when they repo the vehicle they charge a repo fee and leave you with a balance left for the initial payment to pay off that's not good business

WARNING: Avoid Joel’s Auto Sales Inc. at All Costs! I had an absolutely terrible experience with Joel’s Auto Sales Inc., and I feel obligated to warn others. Not only did they take my money without delivering on their promises, but their customer service was shockingly bad. After purchasing a vehicle, I discovered hidden issues that were never disclosed, and when I tried to address the problem, they completely ignored me. Their team was rude, dismissive, and refused to take any responsibility for their actions. It felt like they were more interested in making a quick buck than in treating their customers with respect or fairness. To make matters worse, they repossessed my car for being just one week behind on payments, even after I clearly communicated that I needed one more week to pay. Instead of working with me, they treated me like a criminal and made an already difficult situation even worse. On top of that, they charged me for services and repairs that were either never done or done so poorly that the car ended up in worse condition. Every attempt to resolve this has been met with excuses, delays, or outright refusal to help. Do yourself a favor: stay far away from Joel’s Auto Sales Inc. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and do not deserve anyone’s business.

I didn't get a car from them but I did call to inquire about a vehicle and the other reviews were correct the lady that answers the phone is extremely rude. I asked about the reviews and she just went silent. So believe these other reviews. Her attitude is terrible.

ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!! I bought a car off their lot at 4:30 drove it home (not even a 25m drive) and through the drive home the check engine light came on AND the battery light came on I barely made it to my destination FRESH OFF THE LOT!! I call them and they’re saying they are not willing to fix but 1 out of the 6 running issues on the car. Not to mention the car won’t even drive anymore and it’s only been like an hour since I bought. This is absolutely atrocious horrible customer service, I took it to get checked and was told they erased the codes to the check engine light so the car APPEREAS to have no issues! THIS IS A SCAM and I will be looking for my money back to void the contract and shop else where I hope no one ever shops with these people again they are awful buisness and sales people completely unprofessional!!

I love! love! love! This place! Joel’s Auto Sales is the Best! I’ve been dealing with Joe and Jennifer for about 4 or 5 years, and they’ve always been very professional and compassionate. I’ve purchased 3 cars from their establishment, and working on the 4th. And not once was I unhappy. Awesome cars with payments that won’t break the bank! Great customer service! Went in with my son to help find him a car.. When looking at the insides of a couple of different vehicles there were cockroaches crawling in them. After seeing that, we immediately left. After reading these reviews I can definitely confirm that I had the same experience customer service wise. Entire staff looks clueless and lack the basic knowledge about the cars that they are selling. While there I overheard the receptionist (I assume?) arguing with a customer over the phone and using profanity. Overall, the place looks extremely filthy (confirmation of this especially due to the roaches. I showered three times when I got home).. I gave my son the benefit of the doubt because he really liked a car that they had listed on their website but my eyes almost shot out of my head when we pulled into the “dealership”. I almost mistook it for a junk yard or a hoarder’s house. Run down vehicles all over, cars parked in all different directions and so tightly together you can barely walk. The “building” itself was like a prison cell. I can only assume that the good reviews on their google profile are from them and their family/friends because there was zero professionalism, extreme lack of cleanliness, and overall just a depressing place to be especially if you’re looking to make a purchase as big as a vehicle. The amount of reviews saying their vehicles stopped working after a day is astonishing. However, I wasn’t surprised to see another review mentioning the roaches. My skin stared crawling just thinking about it. I am genuinely shocked that this place is even up to code with how filthy it was. I’ve seen crack houses on OBT with more class. Thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who purchases/finances a car through this third layer of hell.

Read the reviews and thought I would give them a chance to prove all the negative comments wrong. Didn't even get past a phone call. The woman was talking to someone else when she answered, didn't identify herself or the business. When I started to talk, she proceeded to talk to the person in the background again. She seemed 0% interested in my call. Told her no thanks and hung up. If she is offended, should have been on my end. I would say reviews are accurate. Possible sale lost - buying somewhere else TODAY.

Drove here from DeLand hoping to find a car. Called before I went told the guy what I was interested in from the website and he said come by. Dude never greeted me didn't even get out of his chair and was less than interested in helping me or talking to me. The cars clearly listed on the site as available weren't available. I thought to test drive a jeep Cherokee he said he had but I could tell he didn't want to get up from his seat at 10am. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Went to alot of dealers and no one would help drove 1hr and a half to this place and got a great car with only 500 down best decisions ever thank u guyz for helping me

I’ve known this family for about 4yrs now and have bought and payed off 2cars from them. Honestly times were sometimes tough but being honest and having a great communication with Jennifer worked out beautifully and if I needed to extend a payment she worked with me also if I had a mechanical issue with the car. I have referred friends who still have and payed off there vehicles. But again this is a “Pay here, Buy here” dealership always take a mechanic or someone with knowledge of cars with you before purchasing. Again being responsible and respectful also being honest and be communicating with them you shouldn’t have a problem I didn’t and chose my cars wisely with knowledge. I am very thankful for them for giving me a chance 2x and will always send the right people to there business.

I gave one star just because I had to give a star to review! I purchased a car for my son 3 months ago from this place. The. Car had an unknown electrical issue the windows didn't work, the lights didn't work, the water pump went out within the first week, it had an oil leak and the car was full of roaches!! To make it worse after taking my money they refused to get him a tag. My sons tag was expired for 4 weeks and he got pulled over not realizing the tag was expired. When I called to ask for my tag they said they were on vacation and unable to get my tag. I refused to continue making payments due to not having a tag AFTER I paid $1,500 "dealer fees" which doesn't come off the price of the car plus my down payment and $320 car payment.They decided to repo my sons car while he was at school. When I went to pick up my belongings they stole my sons shoes, money, bookbag, clothes and I accidentally left my phone they threw it in the dumpster. Also the husband and wife that own it are extremely nasty cursing at a 16 yr old child. Jennifer told me i look like the trash i just jumped out of after getting my phone they threw in it.. but her husband didn't say that when he made me uncomfortable by calling me without my permission asking me to meet up with him! I will be filling a complaint with the Department of motor vehicles

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!! I’m shocked to see the stars above 1 on this place. The customer service alone is struggling to make 1 star at that, they don’t act like they care if you buy a car or not. The main lady manager they have working here has obviously NEVER worked a day in customer service positions before in her life, consistently giving attitude and just not caring about any issue. Took two months to get plates yet I’ve called multiple times and when they finally get them they can’t and won’t according to her call you back because it’s not their problem. I wish I never bought this car, never have I been treated so poorly. And forget asking for the next manager up or corporate number because he/she doesn’t exist apparently. I was warned when on the lot by other customers trying to get help with the cars they previously bought having issues and I should have listened to them and gone down the road. Buyers beware, hidden fees are also included so don’t believe as advertised and if questioned you’ll be told well pay it or don’t take the car after you’ve been there for hours in the heat because they don’t even let customers inside which is where they will sit in the AC and continue to not help. You also will pay the deposit before any paperwork. Just an overall terrible experience please take my warning future buyers, save yourself a headache and go to someone else who will be glad to help you without talking down to you or having attitude over any conversation.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE. I bought 1 car 4 years ago and STILL and dealing with disgusting customer service. This place also has incredibly unlawful practices that will seriously negatively impact you. They don’t care. The lady at the front desk is so mean and miserable it’s a major hassle to get the minor things done. I wish I would’ve chose a different by here pay her since they are so many in Florida. This place is just not worth it. You have been warned!!

Warning ⛔️: This was the worse experience ever!!! If I could give this place NEGATIVE 5 stars I would do it. We purchased a vehicle and the very next day the tire blew and after taking the car to be seen they found that the ROTOR WAS CRACKED all the way down the middle, the breaks were different sizes, CV axle messed up, lug nuts were missing and the ones left were corroded, the tires were all different sizes, there was no fluid in the vehicle AT ALL!! The place we had the car taken to advised the car was and I quote, “UNSAFE TO DRIVE”. Horrible place. I would not wish this type of deception on my worse enemy. In addition to all this, when we had the car towed the tow company advised that this is like the 15th car they have had to tow back to their lot because they scheme people and sell bad cars. If anyone doubts this truth please ask for proof I have the paperwork. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BECAUSE THEY ARE A SCAM!!

My son bought a vehicle from Joel’s Auto Sales. The vehicle he bought had 2 of the 4 tires go flat overnight, the first night he owned it, and had to replace all the tires the following day. A couple weeks later the vehicle was in an accident, come to find out Joel’s Auto Sales had removed the air bags and a fuse/relay to mask the air bag issue. The insurance company said in addition to the air bags being absent, Joel’s Auto Sales was charging double the actual value of the vehicle. Over all my son was looking to start building credit, but instead learned how some folks really can sleep at night knowing that what they are doing is wrong. What’s really scary is when that person not only doesn’t feel remorseful, but instead feels so good about what they’ve done that they wake up and do it all over again!

Not a place for reliable cars, Many if not all have many issues which look to be covered up then never stated by the company. Good luck if any purchased car last up to a year. Update: Car lasted about 8 months 🤟🏼 Response to @Joel Auto Sales. A) it was not repossessed B) Theres no way for you to know because my name is no where near a car title from your place. C) It was totalled and sent to the junk yard because it blew head gasket in about 3500 miles since.

if i could give negative stars i would. i financed a car through this horrid scam dealership when i was 18. not only are the cars listed with false information (year, color, etc.), but the place itself is extremely concerning. being so young and gullible at the time i needed a car to get me through highschool as i was kicked out by my parents. this place financed me within a matter of minutes (yet ANOTHER red flag). they asked little to no questions, took my pay stubs and handed me the papers.. upon entering the cars at this “dealership” and testing them out, there were LITERAL cockroaches crawling in them.. yet again me being so young and GULLIBLE i did not see the HUGE red flags in front of me. felt i had no other options as i had no credit and every other dealership wouldn’t finance me.. the lot itself is like an entrance to a trailer park. i brought a friend with me at the time who had no knowledge about cars. upon leaving with the vehicle it broke down at my job that very night.. i spent MONTHS towing this car to different mechanics trying to figure out the root of the problem and spend thousands of dollars trying fix it in which i still have the receipts. the car itself worked for maybe 6 days within the 8 months that i had it. i was unable to go to school or work so i could not keep up with the payments, full coverage insurance, and mechanic bills. i was paying for a car that simply did not or ever will WORK. about a week after having the car i had it parked in a lot in my neighborhood. i went out one night to grab some papers and the ENTIRE passenger seat was COATED in cockroaches. i couldn’t believe my eyes. i was mortified. i spent a week big-bombing the car and about 200 dollars in bug killer. the amount of roaches inside of it was RIDIULOUS. hundreds on hundreds. during the fuming i could see them crawl out of my trunk bed with all of the doors shut. after that i never touched the car again. i continuously made payments until i could not afford to pay for a car that was not driveable anymore. after half a year of the car sitting in the same spot i left it i finally called Joel’s to ask them to repo it. i was then greeted by the “assistant” on the phone who was badgering me and belligerent about me wanting it repod. she then had the nerve to threaten ME. saying, “you gave me your address honey you need to be careful and watch out”. i then spoke to jennifer who acted completely unphased by the threats and remarks of her “assistant”. i hung up the phone. shortly after they came and picked up the car with a pick up truck. long story short, they demolished my credit even though i didn’t even have ANY. but as a 19 year old i now have a repossession on my credit and cannot finance any car or receive any loans due to the damage they have done. i wish i had read these reviews, i wish i had taken a step back to realize what an absolute mess this place was. i was naive, i was gullible, and they took advantage of me. to this day even thinking about this situation sends me into a panic attack because of how much stress, money, and time wasted they have caused me. they are scam artists, they know nothing about cars, the proof is in their inventory as i’m sure their “mechanic” fixes up these run down roach ridden chunks of metal without true knowledge of what he’s actually doing. for anyone out there looking to finance a car, i would take a chance in H*LL before i would ever set food on the premises of this “dealership”.

This place definitely looks out for you! I received excellent customer service from Jennifer and she made it her goal to get me into a car as soon as possible at the best rate and set me up on payments that were affordable so I never get behind. I will buy from Joels auto sales if I have any more car needs.

The staff is great and friendly that they gave me water when it was really hot outside. They have a wide selection of cars to choose from and after I made my purchase I had no problems with the vehicle. I highly recommend this place.

I would not suggest this place. I understand it's my daughter's responsibility to keep up on her payments, but as a single mother, sometimes things get a little hard. The repo'd her car, told her she had 5 days to bring the payment and on day 2 when she goes to get it, it's already been sold. If you're going to make a verbal deal, please stick to your word. I get you're in the business to make money, but don't forget that all your people are not well off, bc if they were they'd go to a legitimate car lot

Joel himself was a stand up guy. First time we tried to get into a car, it had a few issues and he sent it to his own mechanic; calling us a few days later to say wed be better off getting our deposit back and looking into a different car because the mechanical issues were too severe. Then a few months later I returned and got into a little Nissan hatch, drove decent for about 4-5 weeks and then just wouldn't start. I called and called, however, the female who answered has one of the worst, stuck up attitudes ever. I don't know if it's his wife, but she has poor customer service skills. She talks to you like you are some hood rat trying to scam her, when in reality they're hounding you for this payment and you can't even use the car to get a paycheck. I give it 3*s because like any used car dealership, USED is the key term here. That's why we have the lemon law, but when I needed the assistance or for them to push my final payment back for the tag, she was just horrible. All in all, it's a big hit or miss location, also evident by the many other reviews you see here. With minor exceptions, so I would recommend them to friends or family in dire need of a vehicle and struggling because Joel will try to work with you-- you can tell he understands most struggling people's situation, but I'd say choose wisely and or bring a mechanic-friend, along with you. Even after how poorly she treated me on the phone, I still sent my brothers friend up the road, Joel worked with him and he got into a nice Honda, he was fortunate. It needed very little. So, like I said, with any used dealer, it's a hit or miss, but they're cheaper and far more reasonable than some others. Minus the petty female you speak to when you're conducting the paperwork or talking to over the phone.

We had a mother who lives with us and has been working so hard to get her life back on track... as you know money is tight and not expendable. 2 months after purchasing a car it breaks down on the side of the road and (Joe the owner told her that he couldn’t do anything unless she got it to Longwood from Leesburg and the cost was gonna be $120... Mind you she had already paid $80 to have it towed back to the church... After pleading with him to help Joe did pay $60 to cover 1/2 the towing, but insisted that it wasn’t his problem and we should be grateful he fixed the car to begin with... To make matters worse after fixing the car (timing belt went out), it was dropped off in Orlando and again she was expected to find a way there to pick it up... Jennifer whom I called hung up on me when I asked why it was fair that Ericka have to find a way to Orlando to get her car??? I honestly don’t know that I’ve dealt with customer service like this ever!!! In the end it was our fault and an inconvenience to them to fix a broke car they sold to a single mom with 4 kids... Please be cautious in buying a car from this place, you might end up broke down within a week, 2 months max!! In the end it’ll be your problem and still end up having to pay for the car, running or broke down!!

Imagine if more than one person gave a detailed review of what they did to deserve one star. Bought a car ('02 Camry) from them a month or so ago, $4500 for a 15 year old car with 110k miles and two issues is a pretty good deal, I'd say. The main problem was that the driver's side door handle was broken off, but because it was sold to me in that condition they fixed it the next week after the part came in, free of charge. The only other problem I had is that there was something wrong with the fuel evap system, but a new $20 gas cap solved that. Aside from that, I have had no other issues with them. The staff was professional and helped me out with the problems I was going through that would have prevented me from getting a car, and they gave me no problems with fixing the door handle when I came back to get it fixed. Update: Few months in, found out I had a bad alternator, radiator, and oil valve. Cost me ~$1100 to get it fixed. Changing it to 4 stars in light of the new issues, but overall still a good deal and good service. Update 2: Had the car formally inspected in NH after moving there, and had to spend another ~$1000 to get everything fixed regarding that. However, NH inspection laws are fairly strict and basically everything that I had to do anything with was superficial and didn't affect how it ran. Just a warning if you plan to take it out of state.

The only people that were helpful was Angelica. I asked more than once if the car was in good condition, and was guaranteed that it was. Less than 2 weeks after we get the car, it has already broken down twice, with my 2 month old daughter in the car. 3 issues with the car. first it was the battery, then the alternator and then the engine locked while on the way back home from the beach. again, with the baby in the car. we called for joel to inform him of the situation and was told it was our fault. no help whatsoever from these people. they wouldn't even tell us where our car was towed. Angelica was the only one who took the time to find out and let us know. Do not buy from them

I bought my First vehicle with Joel, He informed me that the vehicle was in good condition. 3 to 4 weeks after purchasing the Vehicle my engine blew. I replaced multiple parts before giving a call to Joel. When I informed Joel about the vehicles problem he insisted me to bring the car to another shop location. Due to the engine being blown I wasn’t able to drive the car. I tried to get assistance with my vehicle to see if I could get a New engine or get a replacement vehicle but they would not help me because I refused to make my payments until my vehicle was fixed. I was never assisted! I returned the vehicle and never herd from Joel ever sense.

I've purchased two vehicles from this establishment. I did business with Jennifer and she is very pleasant and does her best to get you in and out. I was very pleased with her customer service as well as her remembering my name and greeting me every time I've walked in there. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a vehicle for your teenager or you can't finance because you do not have great credit, this is the place to be. They have all types of makes and models.
