Buyer beware. I was charged over $200 for an oil change and tire rotation. I should have known it was sketchy when there was no estimate before service. I will not be back.
Not surprising that they had no customers and could get me in immediately on a Tuesday at noon. Should have been a red flag.
Where to start? Regular mechanic doesn’t work on certain Freon so I searched and found Robinson. Google reviews are good but if y’all dig deeper, not good reviews anywhere else. Assuming they pay to delete the bad reviews. We’ll see how long this review stays up. They said they could fix my a/c issues for cheaper. Also said a 6 month warranty. Had them fix it, at least what I thought but ever since, it’s been worse. After a little while, the air flow dwindles down to basically nothing so have to turn it to full for it to trigger the fan to kick in. Sometimes full blast is barely any flow so it seems like there’s a blockage somewhere so have to waste more gas just to get a little air flow. A couple months later, the water pump and other items went out. They said it could be the issue so over a grand later, didn’t fix it. Before the water pump, our other car was having transmission issues and since it’s a cvt, my regular mechanic doesn’t work on cvt so brought to Robinson and they flushed the transmission fluid. The shuddering issue went away but about a little while it came back. I looked into it and found that flushing the cvt fluid makes the issue compound faster. They probably knew that but wanted me to spend more money, instead of just adding a special fluid to help with the shuddering. Now, both of our issues are worse than it was before bringing to Robinson. The employees, even the owners, talk about building good relationships and being honest but they are full of crap. Don’t go there, no matter what anyone says. At this point, I’m questioning if the water pump went out on its own or they had something to do with it. Don’t trust these guys.
Excellent service here. I called about my starter and they got me in within two days. My car was also ready within 2 hours. Price was very reasonable and is one of the best prices in the area. Guys were open and honest about the price too prior to the service. Highly recommend!!!
Great service and great communication. They called me every time they needed to update me on something and kept me updated on parts/prices as well. My father and brother have also used Robinson Automotive Center for complex repairs and had great experiences.
James is fantastic. I had a problem with my driver and passenger mirrors. He researched the issue and provided me with excellent advice. He went way above what one might expect because he is so customer focused. If I ever need service, I will be back to see James.
We are from out of town, as we just made it into Gulf Breeze we had some issues that needed to be addressed. James & others hopped right up to fix our problem, in the end they charged us for a half hour of work when they probably did near an hours worth of work. Really good guys doing the lords work! We learned there were bears in Florida because there was a bear roaming the residential area where this shop is. 10/10 experience and we wish this shop was in our hometown!

So I took my F150 here to get the manifold gasket replaced, new brakes, and rotors, and the spark plugs changed.. I got a call the next day after I dropped it off with a quote of $1650.. They told me they would not be able to do the manifold because the bolt hardware was too corroded. They didn’t even want to mess with it… Three days later, I get a phone call from the office telling me my lung bolts are on a really tight.. Don’t know what that means… They never mentioned at all that this was supposed to be costing me more money .. They just said it was taken a little bit Expected ..A week later, I had to call up to the shop and ask what the status was on my truck After they had it for a week.. The office told me it would be ready Thursday.. This was Monday. I called Friday morning to ask the status on the truck and they said they were still waiting on parts.. I get a phone call Monday morning at 8:30 saying my truck is ready.. When I arrive..smh.. These guys cut the local bolt off of my tire with a sawzaw.. The truck was not ready. Check engine light was still on… All the parts for my truck parked in the bed. I’m heading over to another shop right now to get this mess fixed… If they were not able to remove the Lugnuts properly, they should’ve told me they are not able to do the work just like they did for my manifold. My New bill was $2200 and their reasoning was they had to buy extra hardware. The only extra hardware they bought was two lugs and two studs.. Completely unacceptable would not recommend this company to my worst enemy… Be very, very careful when you go to the shop if you can avoid at all cost.. These guys have done work for me previously and they did all right… But they will never work on any of my vehicles again again.
.so all in they charged me $2200 to replace a spark plug, coils, Brake pads and rotors and now I have to head to another shop to check their work and finish what I’ve already paid them for… completely unacceptable.

Bonnie Cowles is by far the rudest person ever & really needs to take some customer service classes.
While on vacation from Oklahoma my alternator went out and they were pretty much our only option since it was a holiday weekend. SO…………
First, they charged us over $1,000.00 to change an alternator.
Second, while fixing the alternator they messed up a bunch of stuff on the truck (they were in a hurry because it was a holiday weekend and close to closing time). They broke hoses and put hoses on backwards to the turbos along with other things.
Third, they refuse to take responsibility knowing they did us dirty. Bonnie Cowles told us she doesn’t care that they are at fault and said she’s not paying, and we can get a lawyer.
SO, their mistake is going to cost us almost $4,000.00 to fix as long as the turbos are not blown or broken and if they are (we won’t know until everything is hooked back up so it can be tested) it will cost us about $2,000.00 – $3,000.00 more to fix.
**** Here is FORDS Diagnostic: Diag and had DTC P0299 need to tear down and test both turbos separate remove tubes and perform test... it does have 2 broken turbo tubes seen but need to see if any turbos are damaged one inlet tube to turbo was broken and may have damaged turbo. Tested both turbos for air flow and both working for volume 2 hoses for turbo hooked up backwards and 3 turbo hoses broken and damaged also needs purge value, bypass value inlet hose broken and may have damaged turbo inside with hoses hooked backwards. ****
These guys really took care of me. I waited for a bit for my ride to come pick me up and I saw their interaction with the othwr clients. They were 100% friendly and professional the whole time. I've been to OTHER Auto repair shops where it seemed like NOBODY wanted to be there, but theae guys were TOP TIER. They made sure my car was travel ready and did a really good job explaining any questions I may have had. Check them out!
Had break trouble with my car while on vacation. They showed concern for the situation I was in and got the work done promptly at a fair price. Good customer service!
Brought my car and I knew what was wrong with it. I told them to tell me what the estimated cost was before repair. The easiest sensor in the world they replaced for $300 when the part cost $20 online. Did not tell me the quote or anything, just called me and said it was done. I brought it to them to turn off the check engine light by actually fixing it not just turning it off. Engine light came back on and i’m out $300 for a $20 repair that takes 5 minutes. Unprofessional
Automotive experts. Got a clutch replaced here. They had parts quickly and got it done right. Hoping for another 200K+ miles on this clutch…time will tell. If you need car work done, check out Robinson’s.

My front car wheel bearings and breaks were making grinding noises. I took my car to three different auto repair shops and a dealership carefully comparing their diagnostic results, prices, and quality. Robinson Automotive were awesome. They were honest, transparent about everything, and very fair price in comparison to others. I highly recommend Robinson automotive team, the people who are working there and the management now are great!
They wrecked my car, took them three visits to finally fix my brakes. Still charged me hundreds of dollars. Used bayside for the damage they are also horrible. Long terrible story with both businesses.

Holy moly! These guys saved my life! My 2019 Hyundai broke down while on the way to Pensacola and James/Ethan did everything they could to thoroughly explain all of my options and got my car fixed within 3 days! Mechanic Louis was incredible and literally pulled off a miracle. Very thankful for this shop and the pricing was wayyyyy less than I would’ve expected! Absolutely recommend these guys if you have car troubles in Pensacola!
We took our SUV to be check on since it was having issues. They were able to help us and walked us through every step what they were doing to our vehicle. We were 10 hours away from home on vacation and truly grateful to have found them and they were able to make sure we got back home to Texas. Definitely recommend
Took my car in because it was running rough. 4-1/2 hours and $140 later, i knew it had low compression in one cylinder, not the plug wire, but no diagnosis as to why. No offer or estimate to fix. So I paid the diagnostic, left and stressed out about buying a new car. I then went to Tires Plus and got it diagnosed as coil wire and it was fixed in a couple of hours. Good news Tires Plus. Disappointed in Robinson’s/not Robinson’s.
My son who is 19 brought his truck in because it was misfiring. They correctly diagnosed and replaced a coil pack. The treated him fair and didn't try and overcharge him. They were also fast. Will definitely go back when I need other repairs.
We were traveling from Texas, and our tundra had a dashboard light on, we stepped in the auto shop. I don't know the guy's name, but he was super helpful and helped us out. He completely takes the worries out of my mind by fixing the problem. Thank you, Mr. Mechanic!! Now I'm able to enjoy my vacation in this beautiful city of Pensacola!

I have brought my cars to Robinson auto for all types of repairs for about 35 years because my parents had utilized them for their cars and they are by far are the best all around! They have experience, integrity and are still locally owned and operated!
Awesome, expert and friendly. They go out of their way to get you going again. They got me out of a bind with a quick turn around the morning before a long trip. I can't say enough good things about them. There's nothing better than a good, honest, hometown mechanic. Highly recommend.
BY FAR the shadiest, most unprofessional automotive center I have ever used. They had our truck for 2 days then contacted us saying it was ready. After picking it up and driving it for not even 5 miles, we realized the problem had not been fixed. The shop was already closed or we would of taken it back right then but we had to wait until the morning. We took our truck back first thing the next morning and explained that the problem had not been fixed. They kept our truck once again and when we called later that afternoon for an update, they told us the truck died on the side of the road while testing driving it and now they could not get it to start or turn over. They towed our truck back to the shop, then they called us and said it was completely dead and we needed to arrange and pay for a tow truck to come get it from their shop and take it to Toyota. Both times we took our truck to them, it was running. After being in their care, the truck would not start at all. They wasted our time and money. And even had the audacity to tell us we had to pay for a tow truck to move our truck to Toyota. After taking it to Toyota, Toyota informed us that the “work” done by Robinson Automotive actually made our truck worse. I don’t even know how this is a “business”. Would not recommend to anyone.
Robinson’s‘s auto repair has never let me down. Sometimes they fixed my car in a few hours, one day or a few days, but every time they did a good job and always charged me a fair price. I’ve never had a problem with anything they have done afterwards. When they fixed something they fixed it. This is my go to place in Gulf Breeze Florida.
It was my first time ever doing business with them.. They were recommend by a friend and they were so right!! Great, quick, affordable mechanic work. I advised them of my situation at the time I dropped my vehicle off and they were able to get my vehicle right back to me the same day because I had to leave town on business. I would recommend them to anyone for all vehicle services. Professional and dedicated. They truly know the meaning of a lost art of today which is "customer service".
They must have new management because before service was fine. Recently I brought my truck in to have suspension work done, 3 days after I get it back my power steering goes out. They blame it on cracked motor mounts and transmission mount. They messed up the rack and still put it on . Tried to charge another $1000 for parts i didn't even need! Do your research about your vehicle and know what you need done. I have waisted thousands of dollars with them and I regret it! Dont come here!
We were so appreciative of the excellent service! We were in the area on vacation and the AC fan motor went kaput on my van. I called their office 5 minutes before they closed and I brought it in the next morning. Within a few hours we were good to go! I was also pleased with the bill. Much less than we expected! Many thanks 😊
They replaced my brake pads for $700 less than the estimate I had gotten from the local dealership where I bought the car! I was thrilled to get such a great and fair price!!! In addition they were extremely nice and had my car ready promptly.
