I was in a bind trying to remove an oxygen sensor that was frozen up. This shop helped me out immediately took care of the problem and used my new part to the vehicle. Top Notch staff And mechanics. The price wasn't bad either compared to other shops in the area.
My mom took her vehicle in for back passenger window repair where her window fell down. Mac’s diagnosed the problem and saw that the motor needed replacing. They informed her that they would need to order the part and temporarily fixed the problem, charging her $73.56 and stated the charges would be $370 on top of the $75 with a week wait time. Usually a shop would include the diagnostic cost into the repair if you bring the vehicle back for the repair. Other places were offering to charge under $300 for everything. Thankfully, a guy friend was able to direct her to a mechanic who charged $85 for the part and installation for $150 with a three day wait period. This place truly over prices for services.
I had to take my Yukon here because there was a screw in my tire and it was losing air pretty quickly. My husband called to see if they could fit us in, they told us to come on in. When I got there they took our truck right back and patched it within 10 mins. While we were waiting they even turned on the Disney channel for my four kids to watch. As we were leaving to go pay, I was told “don’t worry about it” and this was such a blessing, especially since I was having an “everything is going wrong” type of morning. They turned my day around, for sure! I would totally recommend them!
My old Ford Expedition with a lot of miles on it started to have such serious front end problems on the right front wheel that you could see and hear the brake calipers seizing on the pad. I took it to them and asked only about fixing the one wheel problem and get it back on the road as I was broke and technically homeless. They were quick about it, gave me an estimate the same day and by early afternoon it was done. However, the first estimate was a mind-bending $1800 to work on all four wheels and included a ton of stuff I never asked for nor wanted. The truck would not even sell for maybe half that amount! I talked with the actual mechanic and got the price down but just for the one wheel it still costs well over $400 and I'm not sure the loose ball joints causing the problem were even replaced. It does run much better however and breaks just fine, but when I was going to pick it up and pay with a credit card and add more crushing debt I was told only then that there would be a 4% charge, amounting to over $16 just to use a card! I told the nice lady that earlier this year I had work done in Tampa on the truck and each time that mechanic charged me *nothing* to use a debit or credit card. Nothing could be done, they knew I needed to get the truck back on the road, and I left feeling like they knew they had me by the balls. I will not go back there even though they are personally amiable people.

Have been taking my truck to Mike and his group of guys for almost 3yrs now and will continue for however long. The girls in office are always helpful when you are explaining what you need taken care. Guys in shop get it done.
My Ex sent me to this spot. I absolutely love it here. It’s hard as a woman finding people who aren’t trying to get over. I’m not interested in purchasing a new vehicle so they’ve been a blessing. My daughter’s car is driving great. Now I’m taking mine just to make sure it’s all good. You need reliable people and they have been.
I went in today 9/29/23 for just an oil change on a car I've had for a week. The previous owners messed up the muffler system so bad that it was hanging on by wires and had fallen. I couldn't afford for them to put it back correctly and they said they'll try to secure it as best they could. It actually had fallen again and I called them and told them what had happened. They picked me up right away and helped take it off completely. I'm honestly so grateful for them and how kind they are. I highly recommend going to them for anything car related. 10 stars all of the way!!

As a single mother who has unfortunately had terrible experiences when it has come to anything auto related I was very nervous about finding a place to get repairs on a car I bought at an auction in Tampa for my almost 17 year old daughter. A very good friend recommended Mac’s and assured me that I wouldn’t be treated like I didn’t know anything because I was a woman. I knew buying the car at an auction had some downfalls but overall, the car was in pretty good shape but absolutely needed repairs before my daughter could drive it. From the moment I called about taking the vehicle to Mac’s until the moment she drove it off their property we were treated with incredible kindness, amazing customer service and transparent honesty regarding everything with the car. I had already looked at how much the parts I thought I needed were going to run and the price I was quoted after they looked at it never changed even though much more labor was put into the car than what I was charged for. Jose was so helpful in talking to me about what was wrong with the car. He did not talk down to me or act like I had zero clue what he was talking about. He was so respectful and kind because he knew I was worried about the car, my finances and my daughter’s safety. This was her first car and he made it very clear that it wasn’t leaving until it was fixed correctly so she would be safe. This meant the car had to stay an extra day due to an unforeseen issue that occurred after the new part was placed on the car. I was petrified I was going to leave and have a massive amount due in repairs, but Jose took the time to talk to me and help me off my ledge. I wish I could remember the names of the amazing women that work in the office. Each time I spoke to them they were both beyond kind and again also talked me off my ledge of fear. The customer service is above and beyond any auto repair business I have ever been to and to be frank, the best customer service I have probably received anywhere regardless of the business type. I did not have the opportunity to meet Mac but when the office called me to tell me the car was ready I could hear him in the background saying everything was fixed and I no longer needed to worry myself to pieces. Trying to find a car that is reasonable is nearly impossible and finding a place to get repairs done quickly and not at an astronomical price is even more difficult. Mac’s made getting the repairs easy and while I am sure they could charge an outrageous amount they don’t. Mechanics are in high demand and good ones are in even higher demand. I couldn’t recommend Mac’s enough for the quality of service and just a pure outstanding overall customer service experience. I know now that I have a dependable place to take a car without the fear of being ripped off or being lied to. Everyone there was insanely kind which is rare anymore and I left in tears feeling so grateful that my daughter was finally going to be able to drive her 1st car and be safe due to the diligence of everyone at Mac’s. I am not a fan of writing Google reviews; however, I know there are so many people like me who have been taken advantage of from other businesses and need a quality and trustworthy place to take their vehicle. This is it; this is the place and if you are 2nd guessing about possibly taking it somewhere else you are wrong. Mac’s is the place to go and leave knowing you were in good hands and being treated with the best possible customer service. I am not looking forward to paying for anymore car repairs soon, but I left feeling like I had made friends that felt like family. What a tremendous asset to the community Mac’s is and everyone that works there is responsible for making that happen. Truly the best and I am so thankful that I have found a reliable place to go whenever I need anything car related. Stop looking for anywhere else to go in the Polk County area, you are in the best hands at Mac's. I can't thank them enough for the help and customer service unlike any other. I am extremely satisfied with the service I received ! They were the third and final estimate I got before having my air-conditioning fixed in my car .. At half the price the other palaces had given me .. They will Forever be my first stop for my automotive needs
They were quick and efficient. They completed my truck before the time qouted to me and on top of it when I went to pay the young women at the desk, apparently two one hundred dollar bills had stuck together. I proceeded to go to work after picking my truck up and realized I was missing a hundred bucks. When I called Mac's back the young women who took my payment answer the phone and was happy to count and check the drawer. She found my extra hundred and was more then accommodating by holding on to it until my wife could go back and pick it up. Not only did they complete the job quickly so I was able to get back to work without setting any jobs back. They are honest and trustworthy. They completed it before the qouted time frame correctly without any (tricks of the trade). They're affordable, honest, and trustworthy which is HUGE to find those qualities in a mechanics shop. I happily refer everyone to Mac's from family to strangers. If I could give you more then 5 stars I would. Thanks again for the great experience and to the young lady who took my payment. There should be more people like you in the world and I hope they appreciate you. My family sure does!

We were having trouble with our ac they took us right in repaired it. After we were told by someone else it would cost us over $1000 Mac's towing was able to do our ac repair for $45 thanks guys now we are riding cool
Im not sure where these negative reviews are coming from but Mike and Macs has saved me thousands on repair work. Anytime my car acts up i know i can bring it to macs and have it diagnosed and fixed right away. They go above and beyond for my family. I called one time to ask how much theyd charge to jump my battery so i could go buy another one and Mike himself came to my house and did it. Didnt charge a thing. With the world the way it is these days i cant thank Macs enough for restoring my faith in humanity and showing me that great people really do exist. Being a female, if i were to go to another shop its possible that someone would sell me something i dont need but with Macs i trust everything they say and their work is impeccable. I wont take my car anywhere else. If i move out of lakeland i am still taking my car to Macs. If youre looking for great service at even better prices then this is your place.
I will never take any of my cars to another repair shop. Macs Towing and repair has gone above and beyond countless times when repairing our family car. When a car has trouble its stressful but not anymore. I know that i can take the car to Macs and i wont be ripped off. On numerous occasions they have gone above and beyond. I know that when i drop my car off broken i will pick it up and itll be fixed. I cant thank them enough for everything theyve done for my family. If you want trustworthy, honest people to work on your car who wont charge an arm&leg this is your place to go.

Uninsured! He made a mistake and damaged my vehicle then refused to give me his insurance information... my insurance tried to get it from him and it turns out he didnt have any... so the repairs came out of my pocket for HIS mistake.... he is very unprofessional. Dont trust him to care for your car...
This towing company damaged our car and then refused to give us their insurance information. Avoid them at all costs. The driver who answered the phone even screamed at my husband and hung up on him when we attempted to get their insurance info. This company is not trustworthy at all.
Update: Who was at fault isn’t relevant to the damage you caused. Our tow truck arrived ten minutes after you damaged our car because you were too impatient to wait for help. The cars were blocking a small portion of a non-busy road. You are rude and unethical. You caused damage to our car on the side that was not involved in the wreck, and you refuse to take responsibility for it or provide the name of your insurance company. We have you on video damaging our car, and we didn’t sign anything giving you permission to touch our car. Our car was not totaled, and we will have to pay for the damage you caused. That is the whole story. Please avoid this company at all costs!!!
If I could give them more stars... I WOULD!!! My whole family was stuck on the side of the road due to a rental issue for FOUR HOURS two children were in this car. The unreliable company that agreed to take upon the tow at first after two hours decided they weren't going to do it. A guy from this company got the call at 810 and was there at 850AM. We were exhausted from our drive from NC to FL and then to sit on the road for 4 HOURS. He was extremely polite, well mannered, and professional. We are extremely thankful for this company. While we can't give them business because we don't live in Florida we will pass the word on through here.
Great service,quick and friendly. Affordable towing service from pick location to drop location. They charged me $50 for the tow service i didnt go that far to drop it off at a local scrap it yard. I would use them again!
