Palm Beach county has 3 of these facilities and they are fantastic. I have lived in other counties in Florida and had to travel more than an hour to reach a facility multiple counties away. Hats off to Palm Beach!!
All 3 facilites are very clean and well organized. Great to bring light bulbs, electronics, chemicals, paint, oils, boxes, plastic bags, bottles and cans.
It's a feel good place!
I was trying to figure out the list of things you can recycle/dump here and the photos were not too helpful, so here are some more. Basically everything you are not supposed to throw away in the regular garbage has a place to be disposed of here. Electronics, paint, arisol cans, acids, oil, household cleaners, batteries of all kinds, cardboard, cooking oil, American flags, accelerant, the cylinders for air or propane or butane or anything like that, and honestly more. This is super easy to find and drive through.
I take my old cooking oil and car oil. Anyone can take Batteries, Radiator fluid. Cardboard, Plastics and Glass. Old paints and more. No hassle and it's free
Everyone should know of this place or one closer to you. It has every category of recycling drop off bins or containers. From hazardous waste to electronics to chemicals to engine oil to American Flags. There is a specific drop box for old or worn American Flags which are picked up and reverently buried by retired American Legion.
Feckless Palm Beach County people keep contaminating the plastics / glass recycling bins with styrofoam, home remodeling waste, paper bags, roofing tiles(!), and even carpet pieces. And Solid Waste is not policing this.
Fairest price around. Thet get you in and out. It really helps going to a place like this.. to have a bit of knowledge and definitely a respect for the guys operating the front end loaders. Always be aware and realize that those 80,000# dont stop on a dime, and they rule the place. So to expedite everything always pay attention to their signals.
