I was on vacation and 800 miles from home. I left a local store and got a lot of weird lights on the dash. I drove to a car repair shop located 1 row over and they told me they were too busy and suggested I drive to Jacksonville. I then remembered there was an Advance Auto over on 8th st. Jose greeted me and spent the next hour with me. We tested the battery and it had died. Jose showed me several options and I picked the right one for my budget. He then used a scanner to see if the error codes had cleared and they did not. The one fluid was low so Jose replaced that too. He then told me to drive around the island for 20 minutes to see if the dash lights cleared but to stay close the shop in case I needed him. Sure enough, about 15 minutes later all of my lights went back to normal. I safely drove 800 miles home. I am very grateful for Jose and the patience he had.

I had an absolutely bizarre attempt at getting my battery charged at OReilly up the road. I checked advanced autos website to see if they offered charging services. They do.
I came here, was greeted, then asked about charging services. The employee, Jose, advised they can do that, he would like to check my charge even though I had it charged elsewhere so he can have a reading on their equipment.
It was basically dead, he showed me the reading, and asked me how I’d like to proceed.
I asked if I could have it charged. He said yes.
I asked for his honest recommendation. He said given how badly corroded it had been (I showed him a photo) and where it is now, if it were his car, he’d replace it. I agreed with that.
We headed inside, he showed me the options for batteries, discussed pricing and warranties.
He deftly and efficiently replaced my battery, being sure to advise me that I’d need to reset my electric setting in my interface in the cabin once he was done (clock, etc). He made sure the area was clean, gave me instructions, and recommended an inexpensive (<$5)part to help with future potential issues with corrosion.
It was quick, painless, and made me feel like I was in reality again after my twilight zone time at oreillys.

Last evening my daughter and I were leaving Ft. Clinch state park and we had a dead battery. Fortunately, a very kind family helped us with a jump and got us going. Our next stop was over at advanced auto parts. It was less than an hour before they closed. We were greeted by Jose who went out of his way to replace our battery and got us back on the road for our near prefect ( other than the dead battery)vacation . Great small town with kind wonderful people. Thank you to Jose and the lovely woman who helped us out at Advanced auto parts!
Jose was a life saver for us! We had some issues with our vehicle while traveling from NC to FL and he ordered exactly what we needed and the product came in early! We can't thank him enough for his kind service and caring attitude!
I had a dead primary and auxiliary battery on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler and stopped in to get them changed. I could not have asked for any better and more determined service from Jack to find and replace the auxiliary battery. Greatly appreciate all his efforts as well as the store. Some of the worst service I have ever had. I was treated terrible by Andre’s. I will soon find out the female that was working. But I was treated very poorly by Andre’s when all I needed was a test of my battery. Terrible customer service.
We were on vacation and had enjoyed a great day on the beach. When we got ready to leave our car would not start! Dead Battery!Went to a competitor and was told they could not help us. My wife and I were here from St.Louis for a retreat this weekend and Thursday nite when we arrived late, I noticed a headlight out. Myla (sp?) helped replace both lamps with the utmost professionalism and friendliness almost at closing time. Kudos for this employee. Thanks
Always friendly staff and not pushy for sales. Needed battery testing with no charge. They also offered to charge for free. Have purchased many items here and definitely recommend!
Brent provided top notch service two days in a row. A tow company had started my dead battery that afternoon and suggested I go to Advance to have my battery tested. Thinking I was a tourist who wouldn't be back Brent quickly and cheerfully tested my battery at no charge and told me it tested good and no need to replace it. I asked about a backup battery starter and he showed them to me and said my car needed only the cheapest one as it is four cylinder. I came back the next day to buy the starter and Brent signed me up for their rewards program and saved me twenty per cent. Brent said he has been with the store for 13 years and it shows in his knowledge and level of service.
I work on small engines. Today I went in there with my friend who helps me with my jobs to get some supplies for a go cart. The employee's barely acknowledged my presence and when I did get ones attention, they simply wouldn't help me find the engine parts I needed. Also, when they had me talk to them about exactly what i was doing, they told me that I don't actually need what I was looking for as if I was stupid and went back to what they were doing. I ended up going to another store. Not ever coming back to Advance auto parts, nor do I recommend it to anyone.
I just had the most pleasant experience at the Fernandina Beach store. I was assisted by Archie. He was friendly, courteous and knew his stuff. He made my day!! It’s employees like him that prompt me to be a loyal AA customer and investor.
Omygoodness. The best... my Daughter rolled up there with a hot jeep we met her there to help out.. what an amazing guy at the front ... he and her dad got her on her way in a matter of minutes so she was not late for work.. . Thank you Brent and Dad..
I have been here several times. Archie is always so helpful and always willing to lend a hand to help with your car. I am very glad Archie is a very honest person and very helpful. I believe we need more Archie in this world. I have had help from the other staff and they are always nice and courteous and willing to help too. This team is great so if you ever need help go see Archie and his team.
Great service! Had a headlight out and needed it replaced quickly as my family was driving home to NY the next day. From the minute we walked into the store it was a great experience. We were greeted right away. Brent was phenomenal. He got us the parts we needed and even replaced the headlight for us! Was very personable and knowledgeable!! Highly recommend this store!
I went in today and I'll start by saying... I'm one of those girls that knows NOTHING about vehicles!!! And I dealt with a gentleman in this store that not only went above and beyond to help me but took his time to explain in detail every option I have showed me pictures and all!!! I went in the store a bundle of nerves and left feeling a lot of weight off of my shoulders!!! Thank you SOO much I can't remember his name unfortunately but you have one great employee!!!! ???
Archie was a great help. His computer said the part was in but when he checked it actually wasn't . He called to O'Rielly for me and made sure they had the part. I went back and bought some tools from Archie to do the job. I will gladly do business with them again because they go above and beyond!
General Manager Brent is amazing. We came to this location on a holiday because our car battery needed to be replaced. He overheard us speaking to another employee about our plan to do the work ourselves and insisted that we let him help. He saved us hours. Fantastic customer service.
Extremely helpful, professional, and friendly staff here! I showed up right around closing time and Archie took the time to check my battery, alternator, and did my battery installation. He is the best!!! Don't bother going anywhere else for your auto parts!
My family and I were on vacation in Florida and the dreaded battery light came on along with an engine whine. Brand new battery, so I knew it was the alternator. I ran our van over to these awesome guys and they validated that it was he alternator within a few minutes. They recommended 2 shops nearby to get it fixed and even called the shop managers on their personal cells to set up an apt. These guys trusted me and sold me the alternator at core price and asked that I bring the old one back when done.
Long story short... I broke down at 6pm. 10am the next morning I was back at the hotel with a nice happy alterator install. Thanks guys!
