Not sure if Damien Scott Barnhart is an employee there. However, a lot of people, especially in the surrounding area, are really upset about the racist remarks he’s made online.
In less than an hour, they resolved an issue with my tire pressure sensors that several other shops couldn't resolve for nearly two years. And they did it for less than other shops charge to diagnose issues.
I'll take competent, efficient & affordable auto repair over fancy waiting rooms & matching uniforms every day.

I went there on Thursday because my car wouldn’t start. After checking, they told me it was just a ground wire problem, about $200. I told them very clearly I needed the car this week, and they said they’d call me on Friday.
Well, Friday came—no call at all. Then they’re closed Saturday and Sunday. By Monday morning I called and asked if my car was ready, and guess what—they hadn’t even started. When I showed up in person, suddenly the story changed: now it’s a bad starter and the price jumped to $350. On top of that, they refused to let me keep the old part unless I paid $400.
I was already pissed about that, but I still wasn’t planning to leave a bad review. The final straw? I forgot my $35 water bottle in their shop. I called right away and told them it was definitely there. When I went back later, they just said “someone have taken it” and refused to check the cameras.
This place wasted my time, changed the price, held my old part hostage, and then acted shady about my stuff. Never coming back.
I had cut on the bottom floor of my car that was dragging on the asphalt... I was travr6to Miami
They fixed the cut so I could reach my destination without problems. And on top of that they didn't ask for money... A wonderful gesture or kindness !
You can't beat the knowledge of The Bowman family they know more about cars than the president the current president does above the United States of America
He deserves more than 5 stars! Excellent mechanic, he took good care of my Miata. While there, another repeat customer raved about him. Highly recommend.
Wish i could give it zero stars or as a matter of fact -5 stars this place is horrendous and the most unreliable comedy act of an auto shop. These guys will never get your vehicle back unless you hound them multiple times DAILY!! I got my truck back 2 months later and in worst shape then when I dropped it off. I have to drop a new engine in my truck due to their incompetency. And in the process they punctured a hole in my radiator and informed me it was fixed but come to find out they put what looks like chewed up gum on the hole and called it a day. Also when I came to tow my truck out of there because it was no longer drivable after they put their hands in it they had an employee block me in. These guys are rude, lazy and don’t give a darn about anyone or their vehicles take your vehicle here at your own risk, worst mistake I’ve ever made.
Had my engine replaced in a Lexus GS, which was out of their league I guess. Left dang near all the screws and bolts off from the front end, bottom engine cover, as I was driving a piece from the bumper came loose. Steering wheel upside down. Paid them, unaware of all this as they closed that day but took it back and was taking their time to even fix the issues. I eventually went and just grab my keys and took it somewhere else to have to pay more money to finish the job. Walked out and told them you’ll be getting a bad review.
Recently I brought my 2018 Dodge Journey in because my rear hatch was not working ! After determining it was not the fuse they took the hatch apart and in about a hour they fixed the problem at a very fair price ! As I’ve been there before and will again I highly recommend them?
1.) had my car for OVER 6 months. 2.) stole my license plate & registration/insurance with my name on it. 3.) broke passenger side mirror 4.) stole my BRAND NEW $300 flywheel and gave me some obviously used , dirty one. Correct box , wrong flywheel in the box. 5.) I have to buy a battery because they had my car so long it developed a dead cell and dude said “yeah if we can get it started the alternator should kickstart it enough for you to drive home” knowing I’d be stranded on the road. 6.) Car popped out of 4th gear on the way home & squeak from shifter. I gave them the Clutch , flywheel , pivot stud , fork , throw out bearing , pilot bearing , and rear seal so how am I hearing ANY noises or having ANY problems lol. If I broke down a mile from this shop or had to push my car another 15 miles to the next ; I’d make the push. With no shoes. In 110 degree heat.
They are absolutely unreliable. They will keep your car forever unless you keep reminding them you need it back at some point. Then, their service warranties mean nothing because they will not make time to fix their mistakes. Oh, and they never answer their phone.
All the people there r very nice n they go out of there way to help u with getting ur car fix. I would go back again to get my car fix. Thanks you for ur help at bowmem garage
Family owned shop that goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied and the work done is impeccable. They have very reasonable prices and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Thanks for being awesome!!
I would recommend Bowman's repair to anyone without a doubt! Very professional and reliable. The best customer service and reasonable prices. The staff is amazing here! The staff really seems to care and take an interest in whats going on.
I give it a two because the place is hard to find litterally. Especially if you have to take a bus and walk the rest of the way because you have to take the whole bearing of the vehicle to get it pushed out and replaced. Even when you use google maps. Other than that it is fairly cheap. And fast.
Best mechanics I've found in a while. Honest and fair. They've worked on my 92' Oldsmobile several times and have always been affordable. Thanks Chuck and the guys.
