Gus and his staff were absolutely amazing! Most mechanics would try to take advantage of a female but not Gus he made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process.
I left a review about my poor experience and deleted it because I thought maybe I was being too harsh but after seeing Crystal's review I'm confident that I was right. Gus is more crooked than a one legged heifer.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Gus is unprofessional and a scammer. Anytime you leave his business, you'll smell like a pack of cigarettes. I wanted to find a repair shop that would charge a reasonable price; and also wanted to support small businesses. When I took my car there Gus stated that I had multiple error codes. I told him the main issue that I wanted to take care of. He assured me that the issue would be resolved by the recommended repairs. When I picked up my car, the issues still persisted. He told me that I needed a new throttle body amongst other repairs when I expressed that my car was running worse than it was when I brought it in. I then took my car to DBMW German Auto Repair at Jax beach; not only did they fix my car for half the price Gus quoted; my car DID NOT need a throttle body! I waited a bit to write this to review to ensure my car was still running as smoothly as it was when I left their repair shop. Please avoid this repair shop at all costs! If you look at his Yelp reviews, you'll even see that a former employee stated that he scams customers and he departed with the company because of his integrity. If you want to be scammed please go see Gus. I know he will write a response, but believe me, it all LIES
UPDATE: in response to the below. DBMW on beach blvd did not charge me $2000. They completed 1 repair and got it right the first time! My car didn’t need a throttle body nor any of the work that Gus recommended. My car runs smooth. They fixed everything as promised. They changed the oil that Gus insisted was changed that we paid for, however, they showed not only videos of my car but pictures as well. It showed dark almost black oil and a low oil level. When my husband went to speak to Gus about this, he gave my husband the run around and then left him standing at the front counter while he stormed off to his office and shut the door. A true unprofessional. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in business, you guys are scammers. Still no comment on the $1900+ throttle body that you said I needed and I didn’t need it. Anyone reading this please go to DBMW, they are professional, keep in constant contact with you, they do not charge a lot fee, they are knowledgeable and you won’t leave the office smelling like a pack of cigarettes. The number of years a business has been open has nothing to do with the service that they provide

I am doing so bad right now probably the worst time of my life starting over after a bad breakup but this mechanic has so much patience with me it’s crazy I really appreciate him & his staff. Can’t wait to get my car back! I almost lost faith & thought about selling my car & starting over because I can’t get a break right now but he’s working with me. Thank God for ppl & staff like this I really need the help right now.
My car broke down 1-15 -2024 at my daughter house. And they had tow my car in. They put a starter on my car. Cost almost 673. On 3-4-2024 my car did the same thing had put another starter in. I call them and they told kia said me I have bring car to them and get another starter. I live 2 hours away from them and kia told me I can get someone else to test it didn't have be them. Now I have pay 340 and if my starter goes out I have a lifetime warranty. They said all have to do take starter out and bring back up there for another starter. It not right to lose all that money and they want refund the starter.
My father worked with Gus many years ago and was pleased he was still in business. He worked on my father’s “new” to him Mercedes and made it safe for him to drive. Speedy and reliable work!!
I give 3 stars out of courtesy because , They seem like they know what they're doing to have business so backed up 3 months out Before getting new customers in like me , So since I couldn't get appointment for an Estimate , they are too busy , I'm still in search for a body shop for my Mercedes Benz

Was just looking up the business hours to take my car in for service tomorrow and for some reason my old review disappeared. Gus is a good guy. Known him since I was a kid. I bought my most recent car from him a few years ago with my dad and I‘ve driven it pretty hard since and not had a single unexpected issue with the vehicle.
Gus is an awesome guy. Honest and I trust his knowledge and experience. The fact that his business have been there for 40 years says a lot! Brought my porrsche for the first time and boom without hesitation he laid out what the problem was. Very honest and liked the rices very reasonable. Highly recommended.
I was referred to Jax Auto from another mechanic I called that didn’t service Mercedes. I called Gus and told him my suv was making a weird sound and he said “sure bring it in”
I dropped it off and left and after a few hours Gus called and told me what the issue was, I also got and oil change and the full overall fluids toppped off and all the nine.
I picked up my truck the following day and I was very happy with the service, my only complaint is that my truck smelt like smoke. I know they smoke there so I hope they didn’t actually smoke in my truck but I drone like that.
As for the service everything was great and truck runs great again
SCAMMER! Came here first after good reviews from word of mouth. He was over charging from the beginning. He charged me $140 for just looking at my car(less than 1 hour) then tried to charge me another $900 for work that my car did not need. Went to another mechanic and they fixed for much cheaper claiming I did not need the things he tried to charge me for.
Brought an older model mercedes here after going to the dealership AND another shop in the area bc my car was stuck in second gear. Both the dealership AND other shop wanted to charge me almost TWICE as much as Jax foreign auto did. They took my transmission out and put it back in with it working perfectly in a HALF OF A DAY. Gus and the other mechanic where friendly and informative. Screw the dealership and the other place off arl expressway, take your car to Gus!
Gus is awesome. A very honest man and he was able to revive my vw jetta!. I went to two different mechanics saying they specialized in European cars and they overcharged me and did not fix it. I take to jax foreign auto and she's like brand new. I appreciate their honesty and taking care of me and my car!
Took my Range Rover for mechanical repairs & Gus helped me out . He is a good guy . He showed proof of what was wrong with the car & showed proof of the old parts he changed . I did not feel taken advantage of as a woman & the car is running very well . I will certainly go back & i do recommend there shop .
I brought my Cls55 to jax foreign an meet Mr Gus ive been to five different shops an no one could figure it out an i was going to sale my car after this time if they couldn't figure it out well Mr Gus told me not to worry he could fix it an 2 days later he fixed my an it even runs better than ever an he gave me a grate price on the job he very nice an a man of his word an i like that an he has nice respectable employees im very pleased to the work he preformed on my car an had no oil finger print on my car thank you Gus i will be back he has a life time customer an ill tell ever one to go see Gus the best prices in town when it come to foreign cars. 2012 BMW 328i had right rear subframe issues. Spent over 1K to have the vehicle "repaired to new condition". 4 months later brand new right rear tire bald to the cords. Take back in was told all is well no issues with alignment it was just a cheap tire. So replace all tires with Michelin Sport A/S tires. And walla from March to August the right rear tire is DOWN TO CORDS. Trying to work with garage to correct issues.. we shall see how it goes and correct the review if necessary.
I've been taking my vehicles here for over a year. Never had an issues. Gus always worked with me. Good people, Good work, Good prices and Fast Service. He is straight up with you from the beginning.
Good service. Amazing prices. I would recommend friends and family to go there. I've took both my vehicles there. He fixed my car in no time and painted my truck for a very good price. The outcome was excellent.
Complete women rip off! I've spent houndreds of dollars for months with this mechanic and still had the same issues. After each diagnostic it was something new when the original problem couldn't wasnt solved. I have gotten several other opinions on work that he stated and performed to verify everything after he stated I needed this and that in urgency which was over 3k even told me to borrow the money to get another couple grand out of me and wasn't even the issue. Do not trust this place! Especially women!
Women especially beware!! Took my car in cause they are close by and charged me $114 just to tell me what is wrong. No repairs done. He said he would never make any money if he gave free estimates. I'm 65 years old and I have never had to pay for an estimate until now. I feel taken advantage of.
