No comment....it has a lot of security, reminds me of state prison facilities to be honest, not as much razor wire, I assume to keep all the workers safe, from what I am not sure, but it seems as though everyone is a hard worker and good decent people who work their. I hope Amazon pays them well enough to be able to live to a comfort life, at least more then to get by.
The incompetence of the driver, delivering my orders to the wrong address 3 times is unacceptable. I was supposed to receive a call back in from the warehouse for the past 7 days. No call , no follow up! I have emailed the CEO office and I really hope this warehouse manager is reprimanded for not following up or correcting this driver for multiple mistakes with packages !!!
Started getting deliveries from Wallingford instead of Orange about 2 weeks ago and there is no dependability or consistency anymore. Does no one at this distribution center know what they are doing? And of course there is no way to call them directly and complain. Packages that leave this facility should NEVER take 9 - 10 hours to deliver to a town 20 minutes away.
They also lie and claim "customer refused delivery" when they screw up the delivery.
I gave them two stars for effort. It's disorganized and chaotic to state the least. For a gamer with OCD the training itself is a problem. The training screen thing is wildly unpredictable, and it seems they take the training as some kind of joke. Like a street musician using a traffic cone for a microphone.
Despite all the bad thingsngs I've heard about Amazon, I can't speak for all the other short centers or fulfillment centers. But building 5 Amazon shortcenter, I absolutely enjoyed my experience, the co-workers made my job working there fun and easy, if needs be if I ever had to go back I definitely would.
This has never happened to me, but my box got delivered somewhere else on Friday. I responded to the email with a Thumbs Down and clicked that it was delivered to the wrong address. Thankfully the picture was taken of the package - but someone else's front door. Is the center going to correct this? How do I get my package?
The problem in this warehouse , are the managers, they not pay attention to the employees, they don't listen then when they approach to the employees they blame us for everything.
Get organized Amazon and start hiring people that know what they are doing instead of blaming the truck drivers for your mistakes . Get the pallets organized and make sure their loads are organized . The drivers take the pallets that Amazon organizes for them . Get it together Amazon. The drivers shouldn’t be responsible to go in the Amazon workers should be loading the trucks if you ask me . So the drivers don’t have to get blamed for the warehouse disorganization. They have to drive overnight and deliver which isn’t easy . Without them Amazon is nothing . Be grateful. Amazon workers make mistakes every day. Also before you accuse the drivers of something investigate . I know the warehouse has a bunch of cameras .
I would say they not caring if people leave. I left and claim i am termanted from company which bull! I LEFT on my OWN free will. I been calling, email. No one responds. Typical. Place a joke.
The moral is horrible. Your co workers are unfriendly and then you have management that only talks to you if they have to scrutinize your work or have to give you verbal beatdown . Total misery.
BDL-5 is a secondary sort center, distributing packages to local post offices, for a decent chunk of the northeast.They are NOT open to the public, and the XPO side of things, (unless XPO lost the outbound account in the past 8 months,) is always looking for drivers, for Non-CDL boxtrucks.
Open 24 hours 7 days a week this is Amazons sortation center. A great place to work as a seasonal part time employee. There are many part time shifts available during the holidays. A fast paced on your feet kinda work place but the shifts are part time. Plenty of water to drink during your shift to stay hydrated. Helpful and supportive leadership and supervisor. Definitely EOE!
