Was shopping here for Instacart paid asked for a bag and it was 70 cents. It was raining and I couldn’t make another transaction on my Instacart credit card. Everything got soaked customer wasn’t very happy

I was disappointed. The web page says they sell fabrics which i drove 30 minutes to go look for. When i arrived i was told politely sorry but we dont sell fabrics.

2/5. Would Not Recommend. ? I went through Guilford’s custom framing center as it’s close to home and I had read glowing reviews for Lemon, the department’s manager, so I was initially happy to work with them. Never Again. ?? Our first interaction was great, although it didn’t feel they fully understood what I needed done, despite trying to be as clear as possible with them, I trusted the process because they assured me I would be taken care of. (They’ll get the matting just right, place the authenticity card inside the back of the frame, etc.) Two weeks later my frame had supposedly arrived. I received a call from another manager: “Your frame is here… but the matting was not cut correctly. Lemon will take care of it first thing on Monday.” I walk into the store that Monday only for Lemon to tell me the custom matting was actually damaged at some point, maybe in transit. I explain to them what I had been told on the phone so they looked through their system and saw that, yes, it instead just wasn’t cut properly. (Complete breakdown of communication between store managers??) Lemon tells me they can’t cut the matting themselves that day regardless of what I was told by the other manager and that it would take several more days to be finished but that I will hear from them by phone when it’s ready. Okay, that’s fine, I understand that accidents happen and nobody is perfect. I wait and hear nothing for a WHOLE WORKWEEK and call back myself later on that Friday. Lemon tells me that ACTAULLY the custom matting had to be reordered (?!) but that it would be overnight shipped to the store and should be completed either that day or the next and that you’ll hear from us once it’s ready… This is ?️ THE CUSTOM FRAMING DEPARTMENT of a ?️ MICHAEL’S STORE. A specialty department inside of a dying chain inside of a quiet plaza. The store has three people in it at all times. Today is Tuesday. I’ve heard NOTHING for FOUR days. So I get out of the hospital after my tri-weekly infusion and call to see if any progress whatsoever had been made on this custom frame. “Yes, it’s here… but it’s not ready… the matting wasn’t cut properly.” ?? I pretty much had to beg the employee in the framing department to put whatever else she was working on hold to finish this for me and THANKFULLY she agreed! Awesome! I arrived to the store and walked back to the custom framing department, where I was greeted by another manager who let me know the employee I spoke with on the phone, Maglin, was working on cutting the matting herself. About twenty minutes later, she comes out with the finished frame and it looked great, all things considered. So I asked, “what did we do with the authenticity card I left with the work? Lemon said they would take care of it for me.” Michael’s employees: “The WUT?? ?” They weren’t sure if they even had the original shipping materials I had left with them which housed the print. It took the other employee a few minutes of scurrying around to locate the artwork’s original cardboard sleeve where the card was located. THANK GOD. Maglin was VERY HELPFUL and did a fantastic job cutting the matting herself right then and there. I was needlessly strung along for quite a while at this location but I finally have the artwork I brought into that Guilford Connecticut Michael’s store on that fateful day in the beginning of August circa 1902, FRAMED and protected. I’ll cherish it forever! ?

i just wanted to say judy is incredible, she is such a sweet lady and incredibly helpful, customer service is the place for her, i hope everyone that goes into this michael’s meets her, she is absolutely amazing

Lemon, in the framing department in Guildford CT, was amazingly helpful. I wanted a piece of art that I purchased in London to be framed. It would be a gift to my nephew. I wanted it personalized on the mat background. Lemon was genuinely interested in the project. He hand lettered the words I had selected and did so with artistic quality seldom found in framing employees. If you have something special you want framed, Lemon is by far the finest. Went few time and felt its little pricy .. I went to buy a tape n it’s $15/- …I don’t know if it’s normal price

My first time in this store. I was impressed with the overall amount of items that the store sells, the staff that I spoke to were helpful, checkout was easy and curtious and I found everything I needed for my project without issue. The sheer amount of items in the store can be overwhelming so if you are on a tight budget stay focused or you'll find that you spent more than you intended ?

Love the variety of items for sale and always find what I need. My daughter is very creative so they carry most of the items she needs to complete her projects.

Michaels is great if you have any crafting need. Prices are good, but, Quality is not always top notch. You may need to go to a specialty craft store if you require high end quality.

Needed small paint brushes, got a set of 15; all different sizes for under $10- on sale. Was given a 20% coupon @ checkout. Staff is friendly. Store has so many great things for any occasion or craft project

Has looked better...not sure if it's the season or still post-Christmas but lots of empty shelves. Few staff = long lines and that's with only a handful of customers. Also they don't do the coupons or daily deals the same, I get it they need to make money but still...I used to go here once or twice a week on my way to work but it's more like monthly now. Selection just doesn't seem as good anymore, but I will still go here

Limited availability of products for oil painting but they have the basics. They do fine at most everything but great at nothing (as far as I can tell).

They did not have any of the things I needed for my craft making such as any holiday stencils, animal stencils, various sizes of letters stencils, bulk of wood slices( only sold individual at $3.39 a piece), extra fine paint pens in various colors, etc.

Usually have everything I'm looking for in stock. Love that there are coupons on the app and website and you also get printed ones with your receipt most of the time. Lots of ways to save especially if you make a (free) account with them

Stayed open throughout the pandemic. Followed guidelines for precautions for a safer shopping experience. Continue to offer curbside pickup. Many of us still need distraction from the pandemic-related horrors. Michaels offers great choices and fun projects. Trying to create beauty despite the ugliness surrounding disease, and while seeing our neighbors' (locally and globally) true colors shine through - good and bad alike - was a panacea. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and courteous, and the staff at the Guilford Commons location exceeds my experiences with other stores in the chain. I hope other customers appreciate that these people helped us keep our own and our kids' lives bright in the darkness of 2020. We came out of 2020 into the sunlight of 2021 because of the distractions that stores like Michaels - the chain and its staff - offered.

My favorite local crafts store continues to make customer safety a key concern. The arrows are still on the aisles' floors to encourage one way traffic, and masks remain mandatory for customers as well as employees. Michaels helped my friends and me make it this far; and it looks like they will carry us to the end of the pandemic... safely.

Area residents are lucky to have this store in Guilford. Excellent selection of arts, crafts and hobby supplies, and framing. Helpful staff. Located next to Fresh Market. Easy parking.

I love shopping here-- just lately the shelves seem a bit bare. Understandable because they don't want to lose money if the governor decides to close stores -- again. I will keep shopping there!!

Nice selection of merchandise. Was able to find everything I went there for and the cheap prices exceeded my expectations. Fast secure checkout process as well.

This story location is big and pretty good with restocking the shelves. It's nice and clean, and the workers are nice and friendly too. The online pick up has always been a breeze I had one hiccup but nothing that wasn't fixed right away. I haven't done curbside pick up yet.

Nice store - sometimes feels a little too big but on the other hand it has everything you'll need. I often get distracted and want something other than what I came in for. Once again, the trade off is that it has everything you'd need. Feels a bit pricey but it's loaded with sales if you're a member. Staff are friendly and always interested in what you're up to. Prefer over hobby lobby.

The employees are very friendly and helpful. This is my go to place for most crafts that I do. Also great for gifts, whether you want to make something or get something already made. They have a wide selection of many items you may need for your project. They also have classes and children's events.

nice staff but they dont cut mats there they send them out. not enough metal frames or nice plain wood oil paints very expensive as is limited amount of good watercolor paper. use coupons. nice about that

I love my girls because I get to go in and shop around and look at all the amazing craft ideas and they send me amazing coupons to my email or text message me coupons for fabulous ideas which gives me great deals and I save a lots and lots of money on all these great items some for myself and some great gifts

The store has a lot of varied merchandise although the picture hanging kit we bought was not on the correct peg and therefore we did not know the price until we got to the cashier. I was helped by two people on the floor and the cashier was friendly and helpful.

Great selection of art and craft supplies. There is always a sale in every department it would seem. And if you sign up to receive their emails there is a new coupon just about every other day. I never leave the store empty-handed!

Called today at 530pm and was put on hold for about 10 minutes ( I needed to hang up at that point). Buy a curt sales woman simply because I asked if the Guilford store had in stock an item that I had previously seen in the store (but did not want to ride down unless it was in stock). The item was a glass basketball case. When she answered she made a huffing sound and sounded aggravated that I actually asked if the case was in stock. It is unfortunate as I've had generally positive experiences with the sales people in the store.
