Unreal customer service. I can’t believe people like Matt still exist on this planet. We called him off of 84 because we had a self tapping screw in our tire. He was on his way out of the door and he stayed open, helped us patch our flat to get us where we needed to go within 15 minutes. Appreciate you Matt!

I had to find a new mechanic as the one I was using before retired. I connected with Matt after reading all of the reviews and found that what people said about Matt was true: he was honest, informative, and works with you. After having my Jeep towed there, and thinking I was going to need a lot of work done, he explained what the issues were and only fixed what was needed without trying to upsell. Definitely happy with my same-day service!

All it took is an afternoon phone call to be helped. My car was taken in the same afternoon and repaired that very evening; 5 hours all in all. Matt took the necessary time to thoroughly explain what needed to be done and presented the options. I also enjoyed the spontaneous side conversations with Matt and Dan. Thank you for all!

He was very honest and talked us out of buying it. He opened the shop for us on a Sunday and was really friendly. I called Matt about the tire pressure light being on in my car. He said he would take a look the very next day. I brought the car in, he diagnosed the problem, and I was able to wait while he fixed it. Matt explained in great detail what the problem was, and never pressured me to have anything done. The most authentic, transparent mechanic I’ve dealt with so far! I brought my 2002 ford Mustang GT to two mechanics prior who “inspected” the vehicle, but I still experienced issues! I am greatful to find Matt, who has made me aware of some VERY IMPORTANT repairs that I needed done! I just purchased this car 6 months ago, and wanted to make sure the car was safe, as a driver. Matt has taken the time to explain the car’s needs to me in a manner I can clearly understand, and gave me great advice forward on what needed fixing, and what can wait til later! Very personable.. Matt was very helpful. I brought a 2018 Ford Mustang to this shop to diagnose and repair a misfire on cylinder two. Matt was able to diagnose and repair my mustang in a timely manner right before leaving for vacation ! :) The most notable part of the service was the detailed diagnostic I was provided, it was very helpful and knowledgeable. As someone who appreciates cars it’s nice to bring your shop to someone who shares the same quality.

If you have a classic car you are looking to restore it this is the place. Matt who is the proud owner operator takes the journey with you defining each step providing options available at each stage providing options based on your budget. Matt demonstrates patience describing each process and product with pros and cons. Whether you are an educated car mechanic or just a car enthusiast with little mechanical experience he always treats you with respect explaining and answering questions to bring you to his full understanding of options available. The work he did on my 69’ Camaro was exceptional with extreme attention to detail. The work included pulling the engine, repainting the block, new water & oil pump, replacing points to electronic starter, new radiator, master cylinder with booster, replaced and rebuilt carburetor, all engine wiring, disc brakes, tires & wheels, rebuilt transmission, gas tank & lines, battery & wiring, heads and many other professional performed five star plus work second to none. A small but detailed touch is the 1969 Coke bottle installed for coolant discharge. Restoration of a classic car is an endeavor to plan to spend more than you may anticipate and was the case here. Once you begin the journey with Matt you decide where you want to take the journey and how far you plan to go. My only regret is not putting this review up when I picked my car up in March 2021 after close to a four month process. Due to parts delivery and during Covid impacting the timing there were times Matt had to juggle other work while waiting for parts. Understand you are doing a restoration and there will be items that must be addressed that you may not have planned on repairing but are necessary. Kristen who works closely with Matt is as enthusiastic as Matt and is very responsive and takes painstaking effort securing the hard to find parts. I look forward to having Matt complete additional work on my car in the future. Without question I strongly recommend Triple J Automotive and Matt. I went to matt as a first time customer, when my car had an engine issue. He was very thorough and detailed with his work. Excellent communication of my diagnosis and repair options. I recommend Matt to anyone looking for a good reliable mechanic.

We bought a 1998 Mustang GT that had everything original …. Including the tires with very low miles. Crazy story the owner is a friend from Highschool. Shop is in CT and so is the car. Problem is I am in Oklahoma. None of this mattered. I hadn’t talked to Matt in 20 years ? He picked the car up worked his magic and kept me in the loop the whole time. He gave life back into this beauty with a top down left to right front to back inspection and maintenance update that brought this 1998 to 2021. He even saved and showed me the old fluids and parts he drained or replaced showing exactly what he did. You can tell he is passionate. He recommended things when I asked but he made sure it was my decision. I wish I lived closer because NO ONE else would touch any of my cars for ANYTHING. Major UPDATE. I had to drive the car from CT to OK because it was far cheaper than shipping. This is a 1998 anything could happen. When I asked Matt what he thought and he said it would make it 100% He was spot on and the best part is it drove like we took it off the showroom floor ? I cannot say enough great things about Triple J and Matt. Don’t waste your time on anyone else take it to Triple J you won’t be sorry.

Matt is an amazing mechanic and very knowledgeable. He explains very thoroughly the steps he has done to make the repair. I had two other mechanics work on the same problem and they both did a real butcher job. Matt’s has my 1992 Corvette running like a top and I feel confident I will no longer have this problem again. Kristen the office manager is also very knowledgeable helpful and friendly . A great team !!! Do it right the first time ?

I’m very happy with the courtesy and professionalism of Matt and his office assistant Kristen. Matt is a highly knowledgeable automotive tech and he knows his stuff. It’s great to deal with someone who is top-notch but has enough humility to continue pushing the boundaries of his expertise and adding to his already-encyclopedic knowledge. I also appreciate his thoroughness in his documenting every step, every observation, every diagnosis, every adjustment. When I drive my old beast Mazda Tribute now, I feel like 14 years have gotten shaved off its age. I strongly recommend this place, may they bring peace of mind to car owners for all time.

Highly recommended! I had my husband’s old 96 Ford F-150 towed here to be restored, as a surprise to him. Matt and his assistant were amazing to work with! Always knowledgeable and friendly. They were great with communication during the entire process, and always checked in for new estimate approvals. Matt is is very experienced, knowledgeable, and good at what he does! You can tell when he talks shop that he has a passion for what he does, especially restoring old cars. I am very grateful I chose them for the project, especially now that I know how extensive the work was that needed to be done, and on my husband’s “baby”! I felt as if they were honest and trustworthy with their pricing and never felt as if they were being pushing about anything, especially with me being a female and trying to pull this surprise off without much knowledge on automotive. They even helped we plan on how to trick my husband to get him down the garage without him suspecting, and helped me video his face when he walked in for the first time! After 10 years of sitting, my Camaro Z/28 is back on the road where it belongs. Matt and Kristen provide an OVER THE TOP experience. Not only are they extremely honest, but they are upfront and provide you with the most amount of information related to your cars needs. Every step of the way Matt not only informed me of the issues, but explained to me how he would fix them and improve them, for future safety and performance. He did not advance until I understood the whole situation. Matt is EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE and his work/craftmanship shows it. I would not trust bringing my car anywhere else! Matt is knowledgeable, competent and responsive to my automotive needs. He kept me informed at each step, gave me options about when repairs and maintenance should be done and completed the work order exactly as discussed. He used quality parts that met or exceeded manufacturer specs. The work was finished ahead of schedule. When I picked the car up, Matt had all the old parts that were replaced and took the time to show me each part and explain why it needed to be replaced. I would give this professional 10 stars.

Best automotive garage around. Matt is the most knowledgeable mechanic. He's accurate with his diagnosis and his work is second to none. Matt takes pride in the work he does and does not take short cuts. When you bring your car to Triple J, you know you are getting the highest quality work and parts for your car. Triple J also provides a loaner car of needed. Kristen works the front of the shop. She is a pleasure to work with. Kristen is personable and eases the whole process of bringing you car in. There is no other place I would bring any if my automobiles. Matt has helped keep my '98 S10 and '02 Accord running like they're new. He also maintains my '15 Legacy. I have been having Matt service my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a good two years plus by now. His expertise is top notch. He is absolutely the best when it comes to communications (to the point where he messages photos of what he finds so you can be sure he us not drumming up work that doesn't need to be done. Just picked up the boat from the marina and brought her home. The jeep handled perfectly (Matt just replaced the brake lines that were rotted). Thanks Matt for doing an awesome job keeping the jeep running so well. I got some compliments when I was driving some coworkers to lunch this week on the great condition its in.

It is very seldom that I give a 5 Star review as I see it like an A+ in school in that the work should be above and beyond what is expected. I have to say my experience with Triple J was just that. My wife came home with a chirping sound and upon checking under the hood quickly saw that the S-belt was shredding. I immediately called my “go to” shop and they were booked till Monday. Tried a couple other shops with the same response. Upon reading Triple J’s outstanding reviews I gave them a shot. From the moment I talked with Kristen on the phone to the final follow up call from Matt that same night at 9:30pm when the repair was complete, the service was of the highest quality. They were honest and more than fair in their quoting of the price. In addition Matt took the time to check for any other issues and was honest and very detailed in other stuff he saw but was not a major issue at the moment. Their service alleviated a lot of stress that would have happened the next day if we did not have the car with my wife traveling for her job. I have to say I may have found a new “go to” shop. Thanks Again.

Never have I ever met someone as dedicated as Matt/Kristen. They are amazing. Cared for my car as if it were their own. The amount of detail and and effort they put into doing the best for what I wanted for my car while STILL working within my price range is truly what i respected the most. I don’t know much about cars. I just had a vision of what I wanted my car to look like and how I wanted it to perform. Matt just took over from there! The only shop I have ever dealt with where they communicate effectively, double and even triple check on the process with you at all times. I had all by rotors and break pads installed (performance rotors I must add) and rims/emblems/front of the car all blacked out. AMAZING WORK. hands down wouldn’t and will never go anyone else other than here. If you love your car take it to Tripple J auto. You will sleep better at night. Trust me! Thank you Matt/Kristen!

These reviews are no joke! I brought my suburban to Matt after reading all the five star views and he solved a problem my old mechanic couldn't after three tries! Very thorough and detailed orientated. He treats your vehicle like it was his own, no short cuts and gets it right the first time! And now he has Kristen, a great addition to the business.

I highly recommend Triple J Automotive in Cheshire. Matt has done work on my two very different vehicles. He has worked on my 2013 Subaru and my 1968 Pontiac. He has very in depth knowledge on both modern everyday cars as well as classics and high performance vehicles. You will be hard pressed to find a shop that is so multifacited. Matt is extremely honest, fair, and clear with the customer. He explains everything to you and keeps you totally in the loop throughout the process. At the end he gives you an invoice that is more like a report of everything he has done, the results, and breaks down the price. I will definitely 100% be bringing my vehicles back to Triple J for all of my automotive needs!

My car broke down in a parking lot on Friday at 11 am. I had it towed to Triple J Automotive, where Matt diagnosed, and assessed my issue. within the same hour he called me with a result, and how much parts and labor was going to cost me. Matt called a few hours later and stated that he took the car for a ride and that it was ready to be picked up, he also noted other concerns that needed to be cared for asap and in the near future. The job ended up being a painless deal due to the professionalism, quality work and care that Matt put into working on my car.
