The staff at M&M Auto were very helpful, as well as patient when it came to explaining the issues with my car, as well as the breakdown of cost associated with the repairs. I would highly recommend them!
This is an excellent shop. Honest estimates and great quality of repairs. We have used M and M for three years to repair a number of our vehicles and have been very impressed. It is difficult to find an honest shop that does good work - M and M checks both of these boxes. After a 35 year in commercial aviation - the value of solid maintenance is well understood in our family.

I asked M&M Simsbury to help me with a random request, outside of their normal services (install a pickup truck tonneau cover) and they didnt even hesitate to say they couldnt do it. Both the North and South locations of M & M Auto have provided me with exceptional service. They are terrific mechanics, and have coped with many difficult repairs for me over the years, finding scarce parts, and solving the mysteries of my 24 year old truck. Their communication skills are superb. I hope they stay in business as long as I'm able to drive! I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone.
M and M Auto is friendly, professional and thorough. We have been going to them for years for everything from routine maintenance to repairs after an accident. They don't do major body work but do all other services. It is easy to get appointments within a reasonable time frame. Digitally sent, detailed receipts and estimates make it easy to keep track of your car's maintenance history.
The system is great. Easy to use. Clear explanations for each repair and fee. Trustworthy and efficient people. I haven’t taken my car anywhere else for the past 16 years.
Friendly staff and always transparent with the repairs or service needed without over selling. They have a great invoice software that makes reviewing the job quick and easy.
Have been coming here for my oil change for over a year. Staff is not the friendliest but service is generally quick. Prices are somewhat reasonable and they have loaner cars available if needed, which is convenient. They accept AAA discount but during my recent visit I was informed that AAA discount no longer applies to oil changes (bummer).
Based on the reviews I read for M&M Automotive, I made an appointment to investigate a right rear tire leak on my Honda CRV. Took a while to find but the service technician noted it was a slow leak in a plug, a plug type they would not use and being that the leak was near the side wall, could only recommend replacement. Since the remaining three tires measured 4/32" of tread life, tire replacement was scheduled for the following Monday. I had planned to use Costco for the replacement as they were cheaper; however, the service was excellent to this point so I elected to stay local.
I dropped the car off Monday. I was to receive a text when completed. I followed up 30 minutes before closing as I hadn't heard anything and was advised that my vehicle's tire replacement had just been completed and I could get my car.
Upon arrival, I paid for the new tires, grabbed my keys and headed to my car. I initially noticed 3 of the 4 tire valve stem caps were left off. No big deal as Max retrieved a set of 4 for me and offered to put them on as they should have been installed as part of their work. I took the 4 from Max to install as again no big deal.
As I was installing the caps I noticed the left side tires appeared under inflated. I went back into the office and Max came back out with me and had me pull my car up their air hose assembly. Front left tire read 24 psi and the rear left read 28. Both were set to the recommendations in the side panel of the driver's front door. Max proceeded to the right side tires adding 3 psi to the front and removing 4 psi from the rear. Max asked that I watch the pressures overnight and call back in the morning if there is a concern.
As I drove home, the low tire pressure sensor alarm illuminated. I pulled over but all the tires checked fine. It was then that I surmised that the sensor activated because Max had removed 4 psi from the passenger rear tire. I reset the alarm using the TPMS calibration.
The good news is the tires did not leak. The unfortunate news is M&M Automotive released the vehicle with both a potential safety hazard and performance issue that many might not have noticed especially since there would had been no low tire pressure alarm unless one of the 4 tires lost air pressure. The lack of quality control that led to the TPMS calibration of the new tires with undesired tire air pressures was disappointing. I won't speculate as to how this happened but given the missing caps (noted previously), the incomplete reassembly of the spare tire area, the excess installation lubricant left on all tires and the open glove box... well just hoping this is a very isolated incident.
If you’re looking for quality service and respectful customer care, I would strongly advise taking your car somewhere else. My experience with M&M Auto Group was frustrating from start to finish.
The workmanship felt subpar — like the bare minimum was done, without attention to detail or pride in the job. It’s the kind of place where you leave wondering if your car was actually fixed or just patched up enough to get you out the door.
What made it worse was the attitude from the staff. Any time I had a question or concern, the responses were either sarcastic or dismissive, like I was bothering them just for wanting clear answers. It felt like they weren’t interested in actually helping — just going through the motions until the next customer walked in.
Between the poor quality of work and the lack of basic professionalism, I won’t be returning. There are too many other shops that actually stand by their work and treat customers with respect.
Had my car towed here for service mid-April and cited issues with the battery and/or alternator. M&M replaced my alternator, and I was initially satisfied with the price and services. However, only one month later I had to return with related issues with the battery, as I had originally indicated in April.
I paid an additional $300 for labor that should have been done when I initially brought the car in, and was furthermore made to feel ridiculous when I suggested this indicated to me that the work was not done properly or thoroughly the first time. I felt this was an incredibly predatory experience - the only time I have ever felt that with an auto shop. Not a location I will ever return to.
I’ve been searching for a new service garage after my long time garage stopped doing service about a year ago. After trying 3 local places I’ve found my new garage. These guys understand and use technology to clearly show you about your car. It’s not just being told by a technician that you need tires or brakes or whatever, you can see for yourself and make an informed decision. Don’t hesitate to trust them with your car!
Always reliable, good work and also honest pricing. I have taken cars here for routine service, a Honda to correct improper balancing from a dealer and an older car to evaluate a code without an expectation to immediately repair.
Honest and reliable shop. Friendly people and they are very clear with diagnosis and repair costs. I have never felt pressured by M&M to fix anything on my car. They always solve any problems with my cars the first time. I highly recommend M&M at either location.
We are from Maryland and were visiting grandchildren when the alternator decided to die. AAA recommended M & M as a skilled and competent auto shop. Ed and his team went above and beyond to fix our car in a timely and at a fair price. They fixed the problem and I was able to make my medical appoints on time back in Maryland. Thank you.

I made an appointment to have my brake pads replaced. After waiting for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours, I was told that I would need rear pads and rotors. I was then told this would cost close to $700. I declined the service. I then took my vehicle to a different shop and got the pads and rotors replaced with quality pads/rotors for $440. M&M charged me over $90 just to tell me I needed new pads and rotors (which I already knew...and they never mentioned their "fee to look"). They said they would not charge me the "$90 Inspection fee" if I got the work done then and there. I am so glad I refused their service and took my vehicle to a reputable local repair shop. Even with paying M&M their "$90 inspection fee", I saved approximately $170 by taking my vehicle to a different shop.
“CAVEAT EMPTOR”
The Honda dealership I used for car servicing was performing poorly lately, so I needed to find another place for maintenance. M&M Automotive boasted a lot of good reviews here, and it was an easy pick. I visited them 2 times so far, and my experience was excellent. After wheel alignment the car started to drive noticeably smoother, which was not observed after any alignment in the dealership. After another visit for regular maintenance I heard this phase for the fist time in my life: "Your total is less than initial estimate", which was a nice surprise. At no point they offered services as an upsell, but contrary, provided me with complimentary visual inspections.
The only downside I can think of is that for most services you will have to drop a car for the majority of the day, but they offer complimentary rides home, which offset this.
The owner - Bill - can be seen onsite and he is very friendly. A shout out to Max at the reception as well, I always felt welcome at this place.
I definitely recommend M&M for car servicing.

First time I used them. The service advisors were true gentlemen and the work done by the mechanics was great. I’ll be using them again for certain but my concern is they are doing such a great job that they’ll be really busy as word of good service travels fast
