Rai and Auto-Bon crew takes exceptional care of their customers and their vehicles. For the first time in all my years of car ownership finally I feel like I have a shop I can fully rely on. Whether it's just maintenance or emergency repair, they are always of huge help. Even in a dire situation when I was stranded with a major oil leak on a Friday afternoon, Rai stepped in immediately and took a huge stress of my shoulders and I felt well taken care of. They are true specialists in their craft and I will keep bringing my BMW to their shop with anything it needs. Highly, highly recommended.

Very disappointing experience. The staff talked down to me, didn’t explain estimates, and made non-urgent issues sound like emergencies to push me into spending more. They even returned my car without fixing the problem and only admitted it after I called back saying the car service was not done right. It feels like they take advantage of customers who don’t have the same technical knowledge. Also, they talk to you like you know nothing and use all the psychological strategies to confuse you on simple things to make it sound like more is wrong than it is, it’s actually belittling. I’m sure they will respond with a defensive message about how they did the right stuff and what not, but don’t be fooled. Also, they are the most expensive shop I have ever been quoted at. I got a quote from a reputable shop elsewhere for the same job for almost 1400$ cheaper which is insane. All these 5 star reviews are super old, so maybe they were once decent which is why I went here, but the current staff is just out to get paid without being truly helpful. Would not recommend. Just find somewhere else. Not worth the headache.

I scheduled an appointment the day before and they got me in quickly! The service was great and they the staff were very kind at Autobon. They were able to diagnose what was wrong with the car and fix it within the same day.

They recently serviced my Civic for bad tires and a failing serpentine belt. The service was done within a day and the loaner car was a life saver. Many places won’t do that anymore. Not only did they diagnose the original problem, but looked the whole car over and gave me fair estimates on potential future repairs at no additional cost. The prices are fair enough and the work speaks for itself. Highly recommend for any and all maintenance.

WOW, THE REVIEWS HERE ABOUT AUTO-BON'S HIGH PRICES ARE NOT EXAGGERATING! ALSO, DIAGNOSTIC SKILLS ARE PRETTY WEAK. On 7/29/25, I brought my 2017 MB C300 to Auto-Bon for a Service B and to diagnose & repair a “spring sound” during trunk opening & closing. What I received was a $382.16 oil change. I've attached a copy of the invoice along with the quotes for other services they recommended. I'll let you judge whether or not their prices are fair and in line with the local market. For comparison, I contacted MB of Springfield (Massachusetts) this morning and Tiffany quoted me $231+tax (that comes out to $245.44 here in MA) for the same service I received from Auto-bon. Auto-bon charged me 55.7% HIGHER THAN THE DEALERSHIP for what was essentially an oil change and "inspection report". As a side note, nearly all shops do "vehicle inspections" and will often include a report (for free) because it gives them a chance to upsell services. It's a good deal - customer gets a "free" vehicle inspection and the shop gets the opportunity to upsell the customer for further services. Regarding the "inspection report" I was given after my visit there, I was surprised to find it included a picture of my open engine air box (see attached photo) with leaves & debris inside. So if I understand correctly, the tech took the time to open up the air box, discovered the debris, took a picture of the debris, CLOSED UP THE AIRBOX WITH THE DEBRIS STILL IN THERE, and then took the time to generate a quote that included "debris removal". So after paying $382 for my oil change and "inspection report”, it took me all of 5 minutes at home to open up the air box, vacuum out the debris, and close up the air box. I agree that shops need to make money but taking more time to quote the "debris removal" rather than simply clearing it out when the customer is paying hundreds of dollars for an oil change is truly laughable. To be honest, I’m glad they didn’t offer to change the air filter and “remove the debris” while I was there. As you can see in the attached quote, they would have charged me $215 for it, which, upon reading that, literally caused me to laugh out loud! For those who are unfamiliar with car repair, an engine air filter change in this vehicle takes roughly 5 minutes. Likely faster for experienced pro techs. $215 for a simple engine air filter change really is just taking advantage of less mechanically inclined owners who don't know how easy the task is to complete. Regarding the "trunk makes spring sound" - the tech told me that "it's a normal vehicle sound" for this particular model and recommended not doing anything about it. He said “he could lube it but lube would get all over the vehicle and make a mess”. This morning, I spent approximately 15 minutes diagnosing it and discovered a plastic grommet that holds the trunk spring in place and prevents it from rubbing on the metal mount had become disconnected. I simply reattached the plastic grommet and lo and behold the "spring sound" noise disappeared. C'mon guys, I'm not even a pro tech... While this repair is a minor squawk, their tech’s inability to correctly diagnose something so simple prevents me from ever trusting Auto-bon with a more complex issue. Techs with poor diagnostics skill will often take the “parts cannon” approach (continuously installing new parts until the problem is finally fixed) which quickly gets expensive, especially at these prices! That said, I did add a star because the facility is quite nice with a comfortable waiting area and Erica at the front desk was extremely pleasant and friendly. She was quick to offer water and fresh coffee while I waited. In summary, I had high hopes for this shop. I drove over an hour to bring my car to Auto-bon but the hilariously high prices, poor diagnostic skills, and the refusal to do something so simple as quickly clearing an air box out while you already have it open unless it is ensured that the customer is charged more for it made it clear that my search for a superior shop continues.

The entire team here is incredibly knowledgeable and expert at their work. I've been bringing my F30 BMW here for the past 2 years, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with it. Having moved frequently, I've always sought out specialty BMW shops, and these guys are definitely the local experts. They know the ins and outs of the industry and can advise you on what works and what's not worth your money. Highly recommend

So far they have went above and beyond to look over my vehicle to see what the actual issue was and they also looked over my vehicle for any additional issues that I might not have noticed. The part the part was a few days out so I'm looking forward to seeing the results. So far so good

I had to get my radiator replaced on my Lexus was hesitant to have a dealer do it. I had used Auto-bon in the past and had a good experience so I went back and was happy I did. John was very knowledgeable on the particular issue with the radiator and when I showed him a video, he confirmed it. Dropped the car off and received the estimate and approved to get the work done. It was looking like it would drag over to a second day, but they were able to get it done before closing. John is a wealth of info and I appreciated the fact he was not just a service rep trying to sell extra services. I will be back, but hopefully not too soon.

I recently brought my car to Auto Bon in Simsbury for a brake change and to fix an issue with my washer fluid system. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. They explained the issues clearly, provided an accurate estimate, and completed the work in a timely manner. The new brakes work perfectly, and they resolved the washer fluid issue efficiently. It’s clear they take pride in their work and value customer satisfaction. Brought my 2010 Honda Ridgeline in for 100k service back in May and the Autobon Team did an exceptional job. The truck runs smoother, has more power and gets better gas mileage. I’m very happy with the service I received!

Great service. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They took time to fully explain everything that they recommended for service. They didn’t push anything and let me decide what I wanted to have done. Some shops will try to upsell you on additional services and push them on you, but the team at Auto-Bon were not like that. It was nice having a loaner vehicle available as well. You don’t see that at most independent shops. I’ll definitely bring my Land Rover back for all routine service. Highly recommended!

I found auto-bon to be extremely helpful in addressing several issues with my 2012 Honda Pilot. Besides taking care of a noisy wheel bearing and normal maintenance, I also needed the passenger mirror replaced and the drivers side power window switch console. Other items such as the suspension, struts and shocks were checked and evaluated, Some suspension parts, due to age, required replacement. When all was ready, I left with my drivers side window open ... and a mirror that was no longer on the brink of falling off. As I drove off, however I was surprised at how well the car handled and felt on smooth and rough pavement. I had no idea how new suspension parts would affect braking. Stopping distances and the smoothness of deceleration was very apparent, something I hadn't experienced since the car was new. I'm very pleased with the work done at Auto-Bon. The staff is great, Caroline, at the desk is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. John the manager and Ray whom I also spoke with are both great people and I can say now, excellent mechanics. I've used Honda dealers, local auto service centers and national car service centers, none have treated me more like a neighbor than this shop. I can say that I've found my auto repair and service center. I will be returning to Auto-Bon for any and all my automotive needs. Thank you

Rai and the staff at Auto-Bon are absolutely the best! Cannot overstate how efficient, honest and nice to deal with they are. Everything is explained with detail so you never feel like you are being taken advantage of, which has happened at other places before. There is not enough space to write all of the great things about this place - just go and find out because you will not regret it!

The staff at Auto-Bon are the most honest, accommodating and professional group of people I have ever run across in an auto repair setting. They run their business with true integrity which is hard to find these days. They are informative and make recommendations but do not push or bully the customer into performing any services like some other businesses I have come across. They seem to truly care about the customer’s safety and satisfaction. Their waiting area is clean and comfortable as are their courtesy vehicles. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else!

First time going to Auto-Bon, and the experience was amazing. Called on a Friday after my M235i went into limp mode, and was seen and able to drive away problem free by Monday. Highly recommend to anyone in the area! I'll continue to come back to Auto-Bon!

After a few failed attempts diagnosing issues with two different Mercedes dealers in the area, they were able to quickly figure out the issue and recommend a fix. I will now only trust both my new and vintage Mercedes to them. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to give 5 stars but after my last interaction with them I can't do that. I have been going to Auto-Bon for years, I even purchased a car from them back in 2010. Jim is great! He has always been super kind and accommodating. I ended up moving out of the area so I wasn't able to continue going to their shop anymore. However, I recently moved back so I decided to take my Subaru to them since I've had such great experiences in the past. I went in for a standard oil change, and they did a thorough inspection of my vehicle. I am glad they did because we discovered that both of my rear bearings are bad and need to be replaced ASAP. I made an appointment for the following week. This repair unfortunately came at a really bad time because it was going to cost over $800 to fix both which is money I really don't have. I was given a recommendation for a shop that a friend goes to and they were able to give me a more affordable quote. I called Auto-Bon to cancel my appointment, and I don't know the name of who I spoke with (it wasn't Jim) but he had an attitude with me from the moment I said I wanted to cancel. Once I told him why he continued with the attitude telling me that the other mechanic is going to be using Chinese parts and they won't last and I will get what I pay for. It wasn't what he was saying that bothered me but it was HOW he said it. He really made me feel stupid because I wasn't going to get it repaired by them. Maybe he is right but I didn't deserve to be spoken to that way. It's his attitude alone that makes me want to no longer go there. Customers don't deserve to be treated like that. Yes they do great work with good quality which costs money that some of us don't have, and I really feel like I shouldn't have been spoken down to like that because I can't afford it.

First time there with my foreign car and had a great experience. Jim and Barb run a friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable family business. I was there for an oil change and brake service, but they also did a thorough check of the whole car which I was not expecting, but very grateful for. They found a small issue I was not aware of and even sent me a photo of what they found. ? Jim and Barb are great and they took time to chat with me after the work was done. A great experience. I feel I found a place I can trust, which is a big deal for me, and I will definitely use them in the future. Thanks Auto-Bon!

Was able to get a quick appointment for oil change. Very reasonable price and they suggested some basic routine maintenance items, but did not push hard to try and sell it to me. Wet friendly staff and comfortable waiting area. I will be using them from now on for service. Great job

I brought my car in for a routine maintenance. They performed an incredible through assessment of my car. Hey found that is was not safe and identified many issues of concern. They spent extra time and care to explain everything and break down all the costs and imminent issues. They were understanding and gave me time to make arrangements. Kind, caring, honest and professional are words I would use to describe the staff at Autobon.

AutoBon was recommended when I moved to CT 6 years ago. By far it was and still is one of the best recommendations I have ever received. This family business is the epitome of great customer service. They explain everything, make suggestions with no pressure. It’s worth every mile of the 20 I drive there.

This is our first time using Auto-Bon. We looked at the reviews and took a chance. I’m glad we did. Barb and Rai are very professional and timely. The service was excellent and the price was very competitive. We own a Mercedes and have always gone to the dealership for servicing. We were never happy with the dealer and they are so expensive. I’m very happy to have found Auto-Bon! Rai went further to help us get a rebate for the tires. Auto-Bon is a family operated shop and their personal care and attention is invaluable.

Auto-Bon is a great family-owned shop. They've earned my trust over the years by consistently offering both top notch work as well as honest opinions about what work is needed. While they won't hesitate to let you know when a certain bit of wrenching is required (particularly for safety-related reasons), they are consistently reasonable about what might be postponed for a few months or even a year in the interest of keeping costs reasonable. I appreciate that balance, and will continue to bring them my business!

Based on two strong recommendations, I went to AutoBon (after a chain franchise had not installed new tires correctly which had caused damage). Ray and the team are thorough, detailed and honest. Auto-Bon is the best independent auto repair facility. Recently my Subaru Outback was leaking fluids and they were able to arrange an appointment for the next day. I also was given a loaner car to use until my car was ready. They are very friendly, willing to listen and help you as soon as possible. Thank you again for your excellent service.

Really fantastic customer service. This is a great shop with all around trustworthy and down to earth people. I even got to play with their adorable dog while waiting for them to diagnose my vehicle. They were very patient when I went out of town and had to leave my car with them without having paid them for their service. Overall a first-rate shop which I'm very glad to have discovered.
