My first time ordering from Airhead. The new fuel sending unit in my '72 super was from Airhead and installing it I lost one of the floats. Rather than pulling the tank I called and asked Fernando if I could purchase a replacement float? He said they would send me a new sending unit under warranty. Consumers just do not find businesses, large or small offering this stellar customer service. Airhead is now my first go-to VW retailer. Thanks guys!
Looks like their storefront in Ventura closed. I called and they said they only do "order pickups" a few days a week and I had to have my list in advance. Not good. One of the things I loved about Airhead is I could drive there, get advise on parts and what I needed and get the parts on the spot. Now its just a mail order house like anyone else.
These guys are the best. They are kind, welcoming, and know their stuff. They went far and beyond to get me back on the road. I came in on an aaa truck. They immediately made me feel like I was in good hands. I left with a solid running bus and made a few new friends. Thank you Airhead!!!
Volkwagon Airhead not only run a good business, they are kind, knowledgable and helpful. This old used galvinized top bus/beetle rack was for sale but needed rework done to it and customized for the 1971 VW squareback. Although this was Airheads idea, I was gladly stuck with the cutting, welding and painting.
Not to impress anyone, but the truth is, we just have to ask the right questions to get the right answers.

Ordered items for my Karmann ghia and got most of my items with the exception of two small items. Called airhead parts 1/5/22 and guy said he would put the items in the notes to ship because they were out of stock at the time for one item. Called today and a guy told me the part I needed didnβt come with the wire cover. Iβm assuming they just put that in the description because it was not in there when I ordered 1/5/22. You would think they would honor what was in the description when I first ordered and send me a cover that now cost 9.99 when it was suppose to be included with my order in the beginning.
This group is the best of the group for online VW's parts in my opinion. The depth of parts and ease of use of the site is fantastic. Jason is great and has a lot of knowledge for any problems you might run into.
There truly there to help keep your VW on the road. All there parts are in fantastic shape. Oh and pick up one of there Car Covers. Today I needed an antenna.
