I had some copper pipes from a remodeling job that I wanted to recycle this was one of the few places around that dealt with copper. The whole place was very organized when you pull in there are employees directing you where to park and once you are parked an employee approaches and helps you take your recycling to the scales, if it needs to be separated before it's weighed they'll do that, and then they hand you a slip and walk you over to where you are compensated. Very friendly, did you all the work, the very efficient very organized set up. I was impressed.
I went here because I read reviews and one review said that this particular person was excited because they felt they received a greater value for their recyclables than the place they previously went (mentioning no names) so I thought “hmm, I’ll try it too”, and Satanard Industries did not disappoint. Also while I was unloading my vehicle, I’m not sure if the young man noticed that I was kinda struggling with one of the bags, came over and help right away. Talk about customer service!
I checked the hours of this place before I left my home in order to bring some metal to recycle when I arrived at about 4:20. They wouldn't let me in the front gate, they said they stop letting people in at 415 if they're going to publish that they're open till 430. It means you should be able to walk in or drive in and take care of business until 4:30. Cause when I got there at 4:20. The gate was closed to me and I wasn't allowed in. So I give it one star.
I am a disabled senior. I use a walker, but still not that steady to walk. There needs to be more handicap spots. But, once I have parked and notified the office, help comes pretty quickly. I usually have only two or three bags of plastic bottles and jugs, one or two glass bottles and a few cans. I am in and out within 15 to 20 minutes. Each check Is a forward payment to my next bottled water purchase. Thanks Standard Industries.
Website states they close at 4:30. I was there at 4:15 Monday. Gates were closed. Security guard yelling at me that they’re closed now I’m stuck with the cats behind my vehicle.
They are really friendly Alex nice guy and helpful the only problem is a lot of metal on floor and is damaged my tires honestly they clean the floor but not very well
Came to standard because my regular recycling place was closed. And by far this is the most nicest friendliest staff I've ever seen in a recycling center will definitely be back was in and out and about 5 minutes
Always personal and courteous staff here. They direct you for parking, then come to your vehicle and help you unload and take the carts to weigh. Have ID handy. Simple and easy visit everyone.
Standard Industries has been the best recycling place I've been to. Sometimes it's a little busy, sometimes not like today. The service is 5 star. The guys who handle the weight scales are always polite & helpful. The cashiers are also very nice. If you live in the Ventura area, don't bother going to the other recycling places. Standard always gives me above average money for my recycled cans & bottles.
Today I had a 55 gallon bag of plastic bottles and 5, 13 gallon bags of plastic bottles and the only gave me 25 dollars the new boy there didn't know what he was doing I complained but they didn't do anything a month ago I brought less bottles and cans I got 50 dollars they are steeling from people there the guy Auggie us the one helping the new guy and he didnt even care he was looking at me I if I was crazy, and still didnt give me my whole moneyI rather go to Oxnard svc🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡
Great place to recycle cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles as well as other larger items. I usually walk away with $15-20 when I bring in about 4 bags of recyclables. Cashier is friendly and the guys are fast.

This is an efficient operation but I don't see the friendliness of the staff that I keep reading about. That's okay, really, as I'm just there to handle my business. What really bothers me is their hours of operation make it very difficult to get in for my recycling needs. How early they close down during the week and the one half-day on the weekend... With so many west end recycling centers closing down, the 20 minute drive (and dealing with the parking lot that is Wells Rd. in the afternoon on top of that) to get there is tough. I wish they would extend their hours.
