What clients say about Automotive Service Center in Yreka (CA)

We've been very happy with the quality of service we've received at Automotive Service Center! We've had transmission fluid replaced, spark plugs replaced, and a cracked exhaust manifold replaced. And for every repair we got straight, clear advice, fair prices, and excellent service. We've been to a couple of the other repair places in town and have minor complaints about most of them. This will be our go-to repair shop from now on.

We're very happy with their work on a messy wiring job, their friendliness, and their willingness to stay close to their quote even though it probably took twice that long.😮😊

Great family owned business operated by a father & son that go the extra mile. No complaints here. The only bad review on here is actually left in error, it appears to be intended for another company.

I took my daughters Malibu to change her headlight. They were quick, friendly and told me on this vehicle he had to take out a tire, the front bumper to take out the light in order to change the light! We smiled and said good thing we didn't attempt to try it ourselves

Personally, I Google search the symptoms my car is having prior to taking it to a mechanic for diagnosis. Just to have an idea of what other owners of the same vehicle are doing to relieve their problems. It usually helps if you come in with a general idea of what's going on. But anyway I brought in my 2006 Chevy Equinox for an electrical issue. (Sparks seen at the interior fuse box upon start up) looked it up online and it most people figured it was a grounding issue, I told Rob the mechanic that when I took it in and at the end of the day it WAS a grounding issue AND he fixed it at the diagnosis rate of $87.00 an hour. ($2 higher than finwalls) At my request, he also checked my steering U-joints which Les Shuab said were bad. They're going bad according to Rob, and I plan to make an appointment again with Automotive Service Center to get it fixed. Rob also recognized that my key had a hard time turning in the ignition and recommended me to Dobbys locksmith to get a new key made (just in case my original key was worn down too much and wasn't hitting the pins in the ignition).

My complaint would be; my Senior Citizen Parents were driving MY truck and needed the AC fixed, my mom is disabled and can not spend time in our heat!... SO... I had them pic up the possible parts on the way to California. Rather than spending 5 minutes looking first, these people changed all the parts they had, flushed the system and recharged it; THEN LOOKED and discovered the AC clutch was slipping. Meaning that there was nothing wrong with the AC charge, or the multiple parts they changed. They did honor the original price, which was double that of a shop not in the BFE and managed to jerry rig the clutch to possibly get them the final 600 miles, which should have taken 5-10 minutes TOTAL! BUT speaking as a Repair shop owner of 15 years, I would have discounted for not being fully effective; but then again I do not rely on overcharging of elderly travelers to be in business. These people are expensive, but look around... Your in Yreka! If you have AAA, get towed to Redding! At least you will have more options.
