Half of the staff is completely incompetent: couldn’t even process a simple purchase and refund. Several employees saved the situation with their competence and efficiency (Brian and another long-time employee) in passing but the paradigm of completing a purchase then leaving the customer waiting while they help a whole bunch of other people before they give the customer the item they purchased is ridiculous. Once the transaction is initiated, it should be completed and done so correctly before moving on to the next customer. Also, rather than futz around trying to complete a transaction with an item they know nothing about, for the love of God, just seek out a colleague who DOES know what they are doing and do it right from the start. The incompetency trying to find the correct item (even given the VIN) and then charging for the wrong item (even though the customer is telling her from the start that it’s not the right item) then not being able to process the refund properly— well it’s just mind-boggling.
Please please train newbies better or keep a close watch or something. Would have been zero stars were it not for Brian and the other gentleman who stepped in when she was over her head. But won’t go back to that auto zone. Can’t afford wasting 2 more hours just buy and install a new battery. Would rather stick a fork in my eye than have to deal with the woman who “helped” me
I was just in here to find something to help light up my Horse Trailer Bar. I forgot my battery pack at home. Michael was beyond helpful. He showed me different options for lighting and helped me compare each of them. I was stressed out and he really helped me out. I was a pro purchase a couple lights.

Didn't catch the girls name that got my windshield wipers and checked me out. However, she was so helpful and courteous. She apologized to me, when there was a few seconds wait while she finished up something at the register. I appreciate that she not only acknowledged me, but also made me feel she knew my time was important.
Chris was so kind and pleasant! He installed my wipers for me and genuinely seemed happy to do it. Nice to be treated kindly and not like an inconvenience. Very appreciated!

My battery died and I went in to get a new one! These guys were amazing! So helpful! David was amazing, he helped me install the new battery in my car. He also checked my oil and air filter. He put my new air filter! They’re all amazing people! So glad they were able to help!!!
Tried to go in for break pads sat at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for someone to help me. Had 3 employees look right at me and just keep walking worst auto zone I've ever been in. Now I remember why I like Napa better this place is a joke

The air filter I had previously purchased didn't fit my air cleaner.
Told him it was the one from their computer and if he could help me fit one to the air cleaner I brought in with me.
He asked me with a condesending attitude if I had the vehicle here. I said no but pointed to the air cleaner which was on the counter in front of him.
Terrible experience. Everyone else at this location and all the other is always super helpful.
Guess I'll just go to O'Reilly's now instead since it's right across the parking lot.
4 people working, but only one can "help." One of the others is "on lunch" even though he's wandering around the store. Not sure what the others are doing besides laughing and having a good time back in the parts racks. Well apparently "lunch" just didn't want to help me because he was available for the next person who asked for help.... Thank goodness for Alicia she came out and helped.
I had an unexpectedly great experience at AutoZone in Morro Bay today. James and Lee, both, were quick to greet me, assess my issue, and help me get it resolved and on the road again quickly. Super friendly and super helpful.
I love James, Dylan, Tony, John, and Logan they were all so helpful with my bulging tire problem on my little buggie and told me where to get it fixed so sweet give them a raise.
Shawn and John literally saved my life yesterday after a 12 hour flight and 3 hour drive when my battery died on my way home. They went above and beyond to diagnose the problem and get me sorted out and on my way in no time. They truly deserve a raise and have earned employees of the year in my book (not sponsored, just deeply grateful and appreciative).
Kimo at the Morro Bay store is awesome. He has helped me numerous times and is very friendly and knowledgeable. He's given me great customer service. I appreciate his helpful advice and think he deserves a 5 star review. Thanks Kimo!
Came in to get a battery Anthony was very helpful and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain the different batteries and installed it for us. It's never fun having car trouble on vacation but was good that Anthony was there for us.
Anthony "Tony" was left alone to deal with a packed store and was able to ring people up and change car batteries at the same time. We came in with a dead Volvo Xc40 battery, and he was able to change it fast. The Volvos have a notoriously complicated battery change too, but he got it done fast!

Came for a headlight replacement. The worker was very nice and got the bulb switched out in less than 5 minutes! Service was very fast and bulb was cheap. Would definitely come back again to this location.
I lost a receipt for a transaction I made last week. Anthony was able to help track it down for me and was super fast and responsive with everything. Called me multiple times to keep me updated and got the whole thing resolved in about 20 minutes. Really appreciate everything he did, because of his help I'm able to return the cores for the brake calipers I replaced and get some money back. He also saved me a trip from Santa Maria to Morro Bay. I can now just return them to the Santa Maria store. Anthony is rockstar.
Anthony replaced my headlight bulbs for me. One was out. He checked my fluids for my road trip so I also got windshield wiper fluid because I was near empty. Both Anthony and Tara were friendly and helpful. Thanks for helping me have a safer road trip home! I highly recommend Autozone in Morro Bay!
Daniel O. is a great customer service rep. Friendly, helpful, with great people skills. I know very little about cars and he made me feel comfortable. He quickly found the correct windshield blades for my car model and put them on for me, testing them before I drove off. I am sure AutoZone carefully chooses its staff. Daniel O. Is a keeper.
Veronica, is amazing. She not only helped me get oil, but she helped me find a cabin, air filter and patiently put the oil in my car. She's awesome girl power. Thank you Veronica
Had a great experience on Xmas eve at 5:00pm. Bought windshield wipers but due to a hand problem I requested if Veronica could put them on for me for $10.00 cash. She refused the money but said she was more than happy to install them for free! Her counter service was great and knowledgeable also!
