The friendly and knowledgeable people at Wimmers Automotive persevered through faulty rebuild and made sure their word and their work were as they meant it to be. I’m very happy with their attention to details and service. Back on the road, better than before.

My wife and I blew out 2 tires at the same time on highway 1 in Big Sur in a heavy rain storm. I was lucky to make contact with Wimmers Automotive in Morrowl Bay, an hour south of us. They pre ordered and had my two replacement tires delivered and we're waiting for me when I arrived with the tow truck from an hour drive away from them. Two hours later , we were back on the road and back on our trip. I can't thank Wimmer's enough for the professionalism and the speed with which they took care of me in my wife. I am truly grateful.

This shop is fantastic. We as a family have switched from our old auto shop to this one because of just how friendly and upfront they are about the service they provide. Everything is priced right, not over priced or over kill on what they are selling. Great place and totally recommend their services.

Great shop. Scheduling is easy and their communication is fast and clear and thorough. Wonderful crew and their work is top notch. Highly recommend this local gem.

My boyfriend and I were over on the coast around Morro Bay, our car was making a little knock sound so we thought we'd best have it looked before our long drive back to the Valley. we went by this place and here literally was no one around! Like no one in the office, no one in the garage. then some guy showed up and basically ignored us so we left and went to Todd's which a passerby let us know about thankfully. Would def not go by this WIMMER place again, go to Todd's.

Got scheduled in a timely matter, it was only an oil change, but I was made aware of what might need attention next time. I support the work being done at this establishment and the people. It’s a plus that he taught my sons auto class!!

I haven't taken any of my vehicles to Wimmers Automotive since it changed ownership from the prior owner of Jim's Automotive... I couldn't access the rear bolts that hold down the battery of my Veloster N to replace it. Decided to try Wimmer's Automotive which is just down the street from where I live. Result: totally pleased with Ritchie Wimmer, the owner and his customer service and battery replacement. I made an appointment for the following day and the battery replacement (a bit time consuming) was done in a couple hours. His business profile is tech oriented as I was able to pay for the service before picking up my car ahead of time, online. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, there was an out of town couple who had car repair work done and I overhead them telling Ritchie how pleased they were with the car repair and customer service. Looks like Wimmer's Automotive will again be my local "go to" for automotive repair and service here in Morro Bay! Their Google Rating is 4.8 which is pretty good for an automotive repair shop!

I had been taking my car to a big chain for oil changes and other automotive repairs and maintenance, but after I while I got the feeling that people who work there are just collecting a pay check without really caring about quality. I’m just another customer there. I don’t get that feeling at Wimmers. I get quality work with a home town feel. My business matters to each person who works there. Can’t find that at the big chains.

Morro Bay is blessed to have this fine establishment in it's midst. Claire was delight on the phone and returned my messages very promptly. Ritchie ensured that my vehicle left his my shop with quality he stood by. Do not miss a chance to experience this amazing service!

Came from out of town and headlight was out,They took care of it right away while we waited very comfortably in there lounge area which was importantl to us as my wife is Handicapped!!!!Thank you very much!!! Roy & Brenda Emmons!!!!!

The owner is very kind and extremely helpful. Took photos and everything that I would need to show Hyundai whose fault it was. I got oil change at Hyundai before travel and they added the plug loose which caused all the oil to leak. Grateful for the help.

WOW!! My car has had trouble starting for the past several months intermittently; we replaced the alternator, battery, terminal… caps? whatever holds it in place. And never a solution that lasted very long. We kept wondering if it was the starter, and our suspicions were confirmed after my car had issues starting again this morning. We were turned away from a different shop, but a quick call confirmed that Wimmer’s could help us out. We arrived around 12:45 and ended up picking our car up at about 5pm - they were able to switch out the starter and complete an oil change, they even gave me a complimentary exterior wash! Altogether it ended up around $900 including the diagnostic and the VERY thorough multipoint inspection. I’m so appreciative of the whole team, they really hustled to make sure that we could have our car back before they closed and it truly means so much.

If you go to Wimmer’s Automotive, you need to ask for their top employee James. He knows his stuff and deserves a raise for how impressive his dedication is to getting the job done. He saved my Ford Fiesta when the belt was broken and it was about to total itself. He’s also done an amazing job with my dad’s 1970s jeep. I know I can trust this shop is going to do a great job.

First time dealing with Wimmer's and was extremely happy with them. An ac that was blowing hot air was the issue and that issue was resolved by replacing some o-rings and recharging. They serviced the car and did some battery post cleaning and cable replacement too. They were in contact with me about any issue they thought might need attention, even texted me photos. There was no high pressure to do extras. All in all a great experience. Mechanic Jaedon is a pleasant and knowledgeable young man. We'll see you again Claire & Ritchie.

I just had an incredibly positive experience getting my brakes upgraded for a track weekend, thanks to the great team at Wimmer's. Taylor, Claire and Richie were a pleasure to work with. My car ran the beautifully the whole weekend and my brake overheating problem was eliminated. This level of professionalism and customer care is extraordinary, and I am happy to give Wimmer's my highest recommendation.

The team at Wimmer’s was next level professional! They took the time to listen to my questions and concerns and addressed them with thoughtful responses. Never did I feel they dismissed my needs. My car required a very costly and time consuming repair and they did a thorough job making sure each detail was noted. They worked with my budget and showed true heart. I’ll be taking all of our cars there from now on.

Wimmers is awesome. I took my car there for an oil leak and they ended up fixing what another mechanic had damaged. Claire got back to me very quickly, was up front about pricing, and had my car done same day. Highly recommend. I will be returning for all my car maintenance.

We take both of our vehicles exclusively to Wimmer's now that we've tried them. Their work is extremely thorough and verified with photos of all repairs and areas that should be kept in mind for future maintenance. I fell the pricing is very fair based on the customer service and market value of parts and accessories. I won't be using anyone else as long as we live in this area.

My Ford's engine warning light came on in the morning as I was preparing to return to Santa Barbara from Morro Bay. Wimmer's Automotive worked on my car to diagnose and repair it in between their busy schedule. They had my car for 7 hours and were able to repair it so that I could return to SB instead of having to rent a car or hotel. Professional and great group of mechanics

Great Experience. Just had a great experience at Wimmer's automotive. Went in for an inspection and oil change, and they even did a free car wash! Everything was super smooth from start to finish. The staff was super friendly and made the whole process hassle-free. Claire explained everything which was to be done and the timeline for the job was spot on. Definitely going back for my next service!

I have been taking my car to Wimmer's (previously Jim's Automotive) for many years. We have always appreciated the friendly and reliable service. I especially like the review of the status of the car's various components and recommendations on service that is included with invoices. I am currently driving a 2007 BMW with over 230,000 miles that runs strong and steady and has always been serviced at Wimmer's. I highly recommend Wimmer's for all your auto repair needs.

This is that shop! The employees and owners are always respectful and take the time to review repair details making sure I understand the best options. My Tahoe wheel bearings went bad. I had to call in to work and took it to Wimmer's first thing in the morning. Me and several others were there dropping our cars off so I knew Wimmer's had their hands full and I was thinking I was going to miss another day of work, but nope! They got in there and handled business and got it back to me and with friendly service. I appreciated their hard work and service. Will be my go-to shop
