I would normally give this place five stars! There are some very nice and respectful volunteers there. But! The manager (woman, brown hair Bob style) is incredibly rude and condescending. You cannot ask her a question without her using a sassy tone in her voice. As a buyer and someone who donates, she needs to be friendlier and inviting. I’ve donated different items there and I will no longer do so if she continues to be rude , not just to me, but I’ve heard her with other people. I always bring in guest from out of town to this location and the volunteers have always been polite. But that manager is awful! And I sure as heck did not like the way she spoke to one of the volunteers. One time a sweet volunteer did not know the answer to a question and so she asked the manager , and that same manager scolded her for not knowing, and the volunteer simply said:”oh oh …I guess I’m in trouble now “. not acceptable to speak to your volunteers that way, especially in front of a customer.

I love that this thrift store supports the local hospital and is run by volunteers — it’s packed with hidden treasures and worth a visit. Meg, a volunteer, was absolutely lovely and even shared a personal family story with us while we were browsing vintage items, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the cashier, Heather, was extremely rude, telling customers to “move it along.” If my only interaction had been with Heather, I wouldn’t return. I truly hope she’s kinder in the future, because this store — and the good cause it supports — deserves staff who reflect its mission of community care.

I like to go in with my kids on weekends, but some of the staff is very rude they don’t let the kids touch any of the toys , and we get looked at bad for being Hispanic, I think they should have more respect for the shoppers, this makes ppl not want to go shop there anymore ?

Every time I go in here it’s an issue! They might as well put up a no children allowed sign! I understand that it’s volunteer work but in my opinion you should not volunteer if you’re going to be miserable and mean!

This is the best thrift shop in town with fair pricing. All the people who have negative reviews about the customer service probably don’t understand that this isn’t Nordstrom‘s or Bernie’s—it’s a bunch of super old, friendly ladies who are being productive with their time by volunteering for a business that donates profits to the hospital. Leave these old ladies alone.

I am 71 year old disabled person with limited upper body mobility. I also have a legal Service Animal, who is certifed to assist me. I was aggresively confronted by an employee demanding I must pick up my dog and hold him. I offered to show her my documents explaing and confirming my physical & legal need for him. She aggresively told me it didn't matter & had to carry him. I again offered to show my legal documents but she responded saying "we don't do that here -pick him up & carry him , that's our policy". A kind shopper observed my distress & offered to carry him for me! I was beside myself, I was humiliated & shocked that I was treated with such direspect & lack of compassion. Its not easy for a person who has disabilities to naviagate like others and to be treated so mean because I have special needs was awlful. I will also be reaching out to the owners in hopes that others wiĺl not go through the same distress. Hopefully the employees will be trained & well informed about authorized SA.'s & the Disability Act. S.A.'s & the Di

A good priced thrift shop worth seeing. I left my wallet there and was returned to the police station who contacted me that the staff found it. Everything intact. Thank you

Extremely busy even though it was only five minutes past opening. Didn't find anything, but they had a decent variety of used clothes, housewares, antiques, skiing/snowboarding gear, etc.

We've been going to Cast Off for years. It's a fun place to go to because of all of the unexpected treasures at incredible prices. Volunteers manage everything. All proceeds go to Mammoth Hospital.

The fact that kids can't go into a store for used stuff is unbelievable the lady tried to tell me to leave my daughter at the front by herself is a joke like this store.

People forgot the phrase, If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." Thanks volunteers for being there!

Had to write this review to counter the other complaints. This place is staffed by volunteers! And they are doing their best. It is a tough job accepting donations at a thrift store, much less in a small, remote rental-based town under covid19. I could tell they were doing their best but people were being impatient and not listening to where to drop things off. Slow down and be kind. And if you don't like something: volunteer yourself! Also I believe they only accept donations on Wednesdays & Saturdays currently. I did find the store itself to be on the expensive side, but I also thought the quality of the stuff was better than a typical thrift store so it evens out.

Terrible costumer service!!! I've never taken donations to a place and had them be angry they were receiving donations. The last 2 times I've donated they were extremely rude and acted like it was a burden. Yesterday was and will be the last time I donate anything to this place.

bad customer service, the staff was very rude and were only letting people in if they were over 18. Had us wait in line four half an hour only to tell us we couldn’t shop there when we were entering the store. Very bad experience and would not recommend.
