Large selection of chains (both actual and cable), but didn't have our size sadly. Glad they have them though- they also have chain tensioners for various tire sizes.

Came in for a patch on a leaky tire. They got me in and out quick and said they had patched it. A couple months later the tire was leaking again so I brought it to another shop and it turns out all they did was put a plug in it. No interior patch. They lied about the work they did and charged me for work they didnt do.

I stopped here to diagnose a check engine light and one of the mechanics was extremely helpful in resolving the issue. He was friendly, efficient, and detailed in explaining the issue and had me back on the road quickly.

Not aloud to use available trash cans, no sign posted saying so. Very rude employee. Took trash out of the trash can and shoved it back at me. I tried calmly talking to him, only short rude remarks. My business uses chevron its great fuel but that employee needs a reality check.

We own a 25' RV with dually's. We experienced loss of tire pressure, on one of the inner wheels, while traveling on vacation through Mammoth. We called several other tire shops in Mammoth, but it being Sunday they were all closed. As we drove by Chevron, we noticed the bay doors open, and stopped to see if they could help. Jason immediately jacked the RV up, took off both tires, and found a screw in the tire. In addition to repairing the tire, Jason added stem valve extenders to both our duallies which allows for easier access to add air to our tires. Everyone we dealt with, we're very helpful and professional. We paid, what we consider, more than a fair price to fix the tire, add the extenders, and work us in immediately. Highly recommend this place to get your gas, repairs, and snacks!

Staff is very helpful and friendly. They absolutely do everything they can to make sure customers are happy. Even went out of their way to help try and find a tire for my car, that they did not have on hand. Definitely will be coming back here whenever I am out this way, and have any issues with my car.

Subie started overheating after long drive from So-Cal and I feared the worst but Rocky determined it was just a faulty radiator cap and replaced it as well as flushed system and replaced coolant in a very short period of time so good as new for trouble free trek home. Great service, expertise and integrity. Thanks guys, very much appreciated!

I arrived on time for my 10:00 a.m. appointment for assessment of front end noise under my vehicle. We ended up waiting 45 minutes past our appointment time so the crew change a flat tire for a drop-in customer. Jason did a really nice assessment although didn't put our truck on the rack which would have been preferable. But he jacked up all four corners of the car after taking it on test drive. He checked wheel bearings and struts and ball joints etc including the steering gear. He was able to duplicate the noise by twisting and pushing the front tires into a left hand turn. Jason said it sounds like a dealer issue because it could involve software. Said steering groaning issue would probably worsen with time with any low speed turning. In and out in the best part of it was the price, $50 for their inspection .Thanks for being fair and Jason for your expertise! One negative thing I would like to mention. When I was at the cash register the regular appearing guy there was quite negative about the busyness of the town and expressing wistfully that he couldn't wait until the kids go back to school and business would quiet down, "right now I don't like this town" or something like that. I don't know it just felt like isn't it a joy to be busy and productive with a job that helps people?

My tire was losing air. Couldn’t find the cause. Didn’t want to drive back to LA with it. Rocky found it and fixed it in under 30 minutes. Didn’t affect our vacation at all. Very happy with this service.

Suv broke down on Sunday and had it towed to Chevron station. By Monday afternoon it was fixed and ready to go. Thanks guys.

We had a flat tire and needed it fixed before we headed out skiing. The guys there were incredibly helpful and kind and got us back on the road in no time. We are back home and have no problems with the tire they fixed. Highly recommend this shop!

While on vacation our car's power steering went out. Near closing time on Friday, their mechanic took the time to meet with me, and said they would try to assess the problem the next day. Keep in mind, that the shop was fully booked for customers on Saturday, and they had staff out because of illness. They evaluated the issue and determined that the power steering pump was bad. I'm very appreciative of the extra effort Carl, the owner, and his team put in on my behalf. The community of Mammoth Lakes is fortunate to have a shop that has not only skill and experience, but that will go out of their way to help out-of-towners in auto distress.

Wanted to leave a quick review for Jasmine! A decent storm hit Saturday night into Sunday, which led everyone scrambling to get tire chains. Jasmine took the time to be sure everyone is consulting their tire size, owner’s manual, etc and receive the correct chains. She also gave a demonstration how to use the chains to anyone who asked. I’ve lived in the sierras for 10 years, and that’s the most diligence I’ve seen from someone selling chains.

We had a connector for a coolant hose split open coming over Sonora pass. They were the only place which was open on Saturday. We called and they said they were busy but would take a look at it. When we got there they said they couldn’t get the part which I was surprised by. I went to the auto parts store next door and they ordered the part no problem. When I went back with the part they got annoyed and said I needed to get it towed to a dealership and it was too complicated for them. It was an easy fix and another Mechnaic fixed it in 20 minutes. So they lied about being able to get the part and then they were too incompetent to realize they could have easily solved the problem and taken my money. The manager was rude and incredibly unhelpful. I went to a number of other mechanics in town and they were all great. I would recommend anywhere else just google mechanic and go anywhere other than here. I talked to some locals and they said to stay away from here they had also had problems with bad repairs.

We got a flat tire while camping in the Eastern Sierra. We were able to change the tire to the spare, but needed our original tire repaired. This place was able to take the damaged tire and patch it on a Sunday, reinstalling the fixed tire later the same day. Over a month later, and the patch is holding. Furthermore, they have their prices posted in the shop and provided a quote for repair work matching the signage.

RYAN SAVED US! I was driving North on the 395 and noticed my 4-Runner was overheating. Luckily I was about 10 miles from Mammoth so I drove straight to Mammoth Chevron. Ryan walked right up and asked me to open the hood. He checked my engine for about five minutes and said, "Give me an hour and I should have it fixed." My family had lunch at a local restaurant and came back and Ryan had the car ready to go. We were able to continue to drive North on our camping trip with just a small delay on our trip. I can't thank Mammoth Chevron and Ryan enough. Thank you!

While driving north on Hwy 395 we had the dreaded “check engine” light come on. We went to Mammoth Chevron and they were able to run a diagnostic on it and discovered a hose that was ruptured. They didn’t have a hose to replace it, they were very helpful in the trusted fix of duct tape and cleared the code which enabled me to get up to the nearest dealership to get the right hose and fix. Ryan and crew were great in advice and helping. They were great!

Stay away from the repair shop!!!! If possible, I would even give them negative stars! Our car's engine light came on, so we went to this shop hoping they could do an OBD2 scan to find out why the engine light was on. They asked $70 for the inspection (AutoZone in Bishop does this for free). The person who talked to us was extremely rude and impatient. I think it's because they are the only repair shop open on Saturday, so they believe they can do whatever they want.

We had a piece of obsidian in our tire which caused a flat. We took it to Mammoth Chevron and the guys were great. They were a little busy but no problem. They patch us up and off we went. The guys were so nice and we were glad they were open on Sunday. Thank you guys!!

. . . after a beautiful May 4th snowfall . . . I ventured out to run a few errands . . . remembering that my right front tire was low on air ( compared to the other three tires ). Stopped in on this exceptionally blue bird Sunday morning at Mammoth Chevron to balance the tire pressures on ALL four. Immediately greeted with friendly smiles and "how can we help you?" . . . I was IMMEDIATELY assisted . . . and being a guy, I was able to check and fill each tire thanks to the staff who made available the garage tire pressure hose ( the outside hose had been damaged ) . . . I thanked them and all they asked, "Please leave us a review . . ." Con una sonrisa . . . Mammoth Lakes resident

A service light turned on and the guys there were SO HELPFUL!! They checked the battery health and diagnosed that the alternator was dead. They found the part is bishop, had one of their staff drive down and get it, and got it replaced within 24 hours. Karl, Matt, and Will were so nice and helpful! We will definitely be coming back.

Being they are open every day!! Is a life saver. I was traveling from Palm Springs to Oregon and I had a tire separate. They had one in stock and got right on it!! Wish I could give them 100 stars!!

Debbie and Jose, amazing customer service in a tough situation. Our first time visiting Mammoth and out of all the miles offroading, we manage to run over a mailbox key in the middle of town.... we couldn't believe it AND to make matters worse, it was during labor day weekend so no shops were open or closed early. We remembered there was a mechanic shop here and thankfully they were open and able to see us. Jose the Mechanic was truly amazing and kept high spirits even when constantly asked to fill a propane/have more vehicles to attend to. We wouldn't have had a great trip if we weren't able to get our tire patched. Best team in town, thank you! Also, the only shop open 365 days as said by Jose!

The guys at Chevron deserve five stars and then some. Karl and his staff go above and beyond to give great service--even when they're super busy--which is often. They found time and did a wonderful job for me even though the shop was packed. I had a pesky intermittent problem that was very annoying and no matter what I did I couldn't figure it out. I ran it by the guys in the shop and Rocky got me scheduled ASAP. Johnny, the mechanic, was right on it promptly at 08:00 AM when I arrived for my appointment and immediately began troubleshooting. He quickly sorted out the problem, ordered the part and had the worked wrapped up in short order. Problem solved. If you're in Mammoth Lakes and in need of service, I highly recommend that you go see the guys at Chevron. They're the best.

Cool and helpful staff. If you plan on buying oil better do it before you reach Mammoth Lakes, because you’ll need $100+ only for the 6-7 quarts of oil before $40 labor and $25 filter. You’ll be better of buying it somewhere else in advance than last minute from that Chevron gas station. Helpful for emergency stops though. They also have a self service car wash which needs $5 for every 4 minutes. You probably need a good 12 minutes to make a proper wash so $15+-

While on a long road trip my car needed some attention because it was making a loud noise. A waiter in Mammoth recommend Karl at Chevron saying he is an honest guy and a good mechanic. It was the only place open on a Sunday and they got us in. Their team did a great job quickly diagnosing the issue and getting the work done. The price was much less than I expected and my car sounds better and I'm ready to continue my drive. Their team was really nice, answered all my questions, and easy to work with. I'm grateful we went in and definitely recommend them!
