Had my car in this shop for an AC problem. Left it for an hour, came back, they told me the pressure is good which means it is electric. They wanted 3 to 4 hours to find out where the problem is 3 or 4 x $100. I paid $100 on that diagnostic, went to a different shop. They showed me how many leaks I had in the lines, and that was exactly the reason. Visiting this shop was a waste of time and money.
This guy is a bit of a joke.Charge me $90.To not be able to give me any real answers. And when I left his shop my check engine light was on which it was not before I went into that shop
This place gets a 1 star from me. I scheduled a smog check recently in which I was highly confident I was going to pass considering i worked on the car personally and i checked it with an ob2 scanner before driving it there.
Upon bringing the car in we talked, i handed him the key and was told to come back in an hour for the car.
He called me backin a timely manner to tell me i didnt pass due to a missing egr and the sensors leading to it, mind you everything was there. When i got there he said he didnt even bother testing it because he “opened the hood and seen the tubes and wires hanging up”, i tryed to let him now that its there and it seemed like he didnt want to hear but rather show me a diagram, i wished him a nice day and left.
Same day still i made another appt elsewhere, got in the next day and passed smog within 25 minutes of dropping it off and it was cheaper.
With that being said if you can make it to kelseyville theres a nice shop down there that will get it done the right way.
Very friendly and knowledgeable mechanics are pretty darn efficient and courteous when explaining what needs to be done with your car and when it will be done. We love their work.

I sent a post about Holly's by mistake, it was meant for Burrell's. I have called Burrell's at different times and they never answered the phone ever! Bad business may be one day they will pick up the phone for a repair??!
I needed to get a SMOG check etc and so i call and answering the phone (i believe was the owner) was a very rude individual. I wasn't aware if an appointment was needed or not but I asked if there would be time to squeeze me in that day or when there would be available time and I was very very rudely answered with "we only do it by appointments" and so I said "okay well I'd like to make an appointment then" and I was answered with "I'm busy" (or something of the sorts, couldn't exactly make it out) and I got hung up on.
So my message to the owner for all the public to see:
If you want business then accept business. Don't own a shop and attempt to run it by showing potential customers disrespect. I got it, great, you don't bring in much from doing a SMOG check.... But because you didn't want to do it and decided to be absolutely the epitomy of what people expect from a place in Clearlake.... You lost a customer, i would've brought you business if ever I needed auto work to be done. I would've told everyone i knew to bring business your way. But no. No, you apparently don't want business or money. In that case maybe you should step aside and hand over the shop to someone else that would be able to provide a good service to our community. I'll drive to Lakeport instead and to be honest I'd drive to Sacramento before going such a low level customer relations "shop" which from what I've heard has vehicles there that have been there for a long time and haven't even been looked at or fixed.
Not a place I'd want to bring my vehicle to.
Customers beware
Okay, ..... Just in for a smog certificate on my Corvette.
#1.) Arrived early but got immediate attention and directional help to the parking lot.
#2.) My appointment started exacty on time.
#3.) This appeared to be an automotive garage that is usually showcased on a TV reality series.
I was right. The mechanics have years of experience and could probably repair or restore the mechanical aspects of any vehicle. (Also the owners).
#4.) As a stranger, and a new customer, I was treated with the utmost respect and congeniality.
#5.) I was completely "blown away" with all of this!
I highly reccomend Burrell's Automotive to anyone.
I will return when the occasional warrants !!!
They did a great job hooking up my brake controller and 7 pin harness for my new trailer on my jeep and the price was cheaper then I thought and they were great guys I will bring all my vehicles to them

Didn't even answer the phone and had no message machine to let me know their hours if they were open at all... Ended up going to Ukiah to all-in-one auto repair and smog and had a much better experience.
I took my truck in to get fixed so it would pass smog. He told me to leave it there and he will check it out. So I left it and after a few days I called him and he told me he hadn't had the chance to look at my truck. So a few days later I called him again, since he would never call me, and he told me the same thing. After not hearing from him for around a week or soI decided to go in there and ask him if ever got a chance to look at it and he hadn't. After that visit I received a lien notice in my mail telling me that if I didn't pick it up he was going to have it towed. I went back to see him and he was quite mad and told me that he wasn't a place to store vehicles. It didn't matter what I had to say, he wouldn't listen. Needless to say I pd him for not towing it and left. If I hadn't , I'm not sure what would of happened and I didn't want to go to jail.
Went in for a smog and before they got the machine hooked up to the vehicle,he told me what was wrong with the vehicle and why it wouldn't pass wrote it all down and bid me a good day and didn't charge me.
I will be bringing all of my cars here.
This is the place to go. They are very friendly and very accommodating. I got there early for my smog check and they took my car and I was done before my original appointment. Excellent personality
We have been getting our cars fixed at Burrell's for 20 years. They are the most honest, reasonable and excellent auto mechanics we have ever worked with. Wouldn't take our cars anywhere else!
We had my sisters Honda Prelude towed in there on a Friday during the mandatory evacuation after it overheated..Monday he had to charge the battery..Tuesday he called..said it was ready..we were worried it had blown a headgasket..but it was only an old radiator cap that needed to be replaced..its all fixed n back on the road good as new..he didn't charge my sister any labor..just $22 for the new radiator cap..now that a great mechanic..
Completely ruined my alternator cus they don’t know how to tighten one simple bolt don’t bring your vehicle here unless you wanna have to bring it back somewhere else to get it done propper
Mr Burrell always takes care of our needs promptly, professionally, and honestly. We have been bringing our family vehicles to him for years. Mainly, it was for things that we couldn't do ourselves, like smog and alignments, until recently. We lost everything in the Clayton fire in August. Due to a lack of tools and space to work, we have been bringing in our vehicles for everything we need done. Thank you, Mr Burrell!
In my experience he isn't pretending to work on your car, he is trying his hardest to get your junker to pass smog
I went here with 2 cars, he spent an hour on one because it was so bad, and the second only took about 5 minutes because it was a newer car in pristine condition
It is also a pretty good deal for $75, you can get a pre-smog for around $65 and if it passes he'll upgrade you to the full smog for $75 and not charge the $65
