This AutoZone location is ridiculous. First thing first, the manager is super unprofessional, as well as the employees. Every time I come in here, the employees are always obviously loudly gossiping. You can hear them talking crap about another employee from whatever aisle you are in the store. Second, the manager here is absolutely rude as hell. I mean, the white older lady who is the manager is hella rude. I came here looking for a simple amp for my truck, subwoofers. There was none on the shelf, but it said they had some in stock on their app. So I went inside looking for it, and I stood in line for maybe about a good 10 minutes waiting on one of the employees to be free to answer me. There was an obvious line stacking up behind me, and the employees kept pretending to be busy, getting on a computer and answering the phone, ignoring other people standing in line. A line literally piled up for maybe about 10 minutes straight before I finally walked out in frustration. And this isn't even all. The last time I came here before that, I needed to get a code scan on my truck. The rude manager told me to scan it myself. I'm not trying to sound like an idiot here, but I don't know how to use the damn scanner. That's why I came to the store its supposed to be one of the services provided at Autozone as advertised. The people here are just ridiculous. A bunch of teenagers who don't know jack crap about vehicles working at this store. They come here solely to gossip and not work and when things get busy they beat around the bush.

The manager Monica pressers customers into not returning wrong items. They will not return parts. The manager and a couple of other employees at the store are very rude. They could use some customer service training. I'm not impressed with the customer service at the store.

I would not recommend going to this store. The manager Monica was very rude, I came in to get a scan. No issue they let me use their OBD2 scanner. I plugged it in and the car needed a jump in the store parking lot. She goes ahead and says if i want to use it then i’d have to give her my drivers license, she immediately retracts her statement, says “actually that won’t do, we’ll need your cac”. I refused and say thats illegal, which a simple google search will tell you, it is. She was trying to hold my CAC as collateral over a simple jump that needed to be done in the parking lot, another associate who mentioned was also in the service stated “yes its legal, we can hold it as collateral”. Of all people, the service member was wrong. As a business these people can get in a lot of federal trouble as stated by 32 CFR § 161.6 and DoDI 1000.13. After the associate who was a service member jumped the car, I thanked him and said I appreciate your help, he gave me a smug look and said “listen man I don’t mind helping you but you can just be a dick”. Sorry, am I not supposed to say something?? Bro even tried to pull rank on me at his work outside of uniform, get over yourself dude. The only reason a scene was made was because I told her it wasn’t legal for her to hold my CAC as collateral.

I purchased CV axles from Auto Zone at 38 College rd in Fairbanks about 2 years ago with lifetime waranty and had them installed by a professional. The boots ripped after a couple months, before I could get them replaced the truck was laid up for almost a year with an unrelated issue. This last week I had the shop replace them since they were already doing work under the truck. Today I went to return them for a refund and was told by an extremely rude woman that because the replacement parts weren't purchased at Auto Zone the waranty wasn't valid, however she would gladly exchange the bad ones for the same substandard parts that failed the first time. She told me that the lifetime waranty only allowed for exchange and not a refund unless the new ones were purchased from them . So I am out hundreds of dollars for parts that Auto Zone won't honor the waranty and hundreds of dollars for the labor to change the parts. I advise anyone thinking that the "lifetime waranty" is going to be honored go to another auto parts store as other places do honor thier waranty.

I went over their to get my battery tested, and this certain employee couldn’t figure out where the battery was, and once I showed him, he didn’t know how to read the scanning tool😬

The manager was rude to other employees and customers. She was inconvenienced when an employee needed help. I am going to start taking my business elsewhere if she is working.

Better pricing than other places and always have had a good customer experience here. Employee Kaylob Lugdon always provides great customer service and is always helpful and friendly. Would recommend over o’rileys auto parts every time.

It's nice that when it's snowing and you order a set of wipers, they close their doors and lock them and leave the front of the store so that you can't get your wipers.

Such an amazing store I myself am a store manager for another company and i have nothing negative to say ! They were so helpful , kind and informative! They tested things before they sold it to us as well and make sure we had our receipts for exchanges or refunds. Overall best auto zone in town. They all deserve raises and better pay they definitely know what they’re doing! :)

Thank you very much to Billy and Shawn!! We came in simply to change our breaks and our factory jack failed us and messed up the nuts on our tires, but Billy helped us for hours yesterday with our brakes and was very nice and caring about us! The next day Shawn heard about our issues and was happy to do car stuff for hours!! We are now on the road again thanks to these guys!! Thank you so much :))

Best auto parts store in Fairbanks!!! Yes sometimes they don’t have what you need but they will give you all of the information needed to find the part your looking for. Shawn, at the store on college helped me out with my battery, I let him know some other concerns I had, and he ended up diagnosing the vehicle for me in the parking lot, WITHOUT a code reader, AWESOME! Found out that my oil pressure sender switch was leaking. Had the part in the store, helped me find the socket for it, then gave me an instructions on how to replace it. After listening and going out to the parking lot to do this quick repair, I got the old one out, and the new one in, in 2 minutes. So thanks Shawn for being an awesome Autozoner!

The staff are always helpful, their OBDII Scan tool is fantastic, the parts I need are usually in stick, prices are reasonable, and they're respectful to my mother. I recommend them without hesitation.

Woke up to -40 degree weather and a dead battery. Guess my "winterized" package from the dealership isn't working. Removed my dead battery and drove down to Autozone to purchase a new one. Person at the counter said they could test it for me and see if it needed charging first. Tested it and just needed charging. Came back a few hours later and was surprised when I found out it was free! Not only did the lady at the counter(morning shift) save me the expense of buying a new battery, but the lady(evening shift) was extremely helpful and courteous when I picked up my battery. Did I mention it was FREE!!!!!

I cannot thank you guys enough. I had a headlight out and and was clueless on what I needed to fix it. I'm not educated when it comes to any kind of auto repair. Anyway, Joe helped me out immensely and then came out to my car with me and helped me change both front lights. I could have watched a YouTube video 100 times and never been able to to it. Thank you SO much for him and the awesome customer service. I have to drive on Chena Hot Springs Road and was dreading it with just one light. Now I have two new ones and feel safer driving on these roads. Thank you, Joe. So much. Man you made my life so much easier today. I appreciate you so much.

I had the most wonderful experience with this location. The sales team went above and beyond what they had to do. The first gentleman sold me a part and was extremely helpful, sadly the part did not fit so I did go back and ordered the one I needed. It was quick easy and hassle free. I was worried about the shipping cause I would be out of town for awhile and the 2nd gentleman assured me they would hold it till I got back. Well today 10/27 I went to grab my part and the 2nd gentleman who helped me was there. He remembered me and even put the wiper arm on for me. These guys are amazing and definitely deserve the recognition. Thank you again!

Excellent customer service each time I come in the store. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted and asked if you need help finding any products for your car. And the staff is really nice. The only parts shoppingtown that I go to because of the extraordinary customer service!

Great experience. Robert was able to help greatly!! He had great sitting and ended up getting little assistance at the end; he didn't want me to leave until everything was secure and safe 👍 even another customer commented on great service when they tested and replaced my battery for just the cost of the battery!! Was so awesome 😎 highly recommend

All is nicely organized and clean. BUT though there is a sign at the door in order to provide safety facemasks are required, no one of the employees wore one. When brought up to their attention I was told it is safer NOT to wear a mask. Hah???

One of the few places I can count on to be disappointed in any interaction. From not ordering parts to selling the wrong part to only having one person working the register with 7 people in line, I always have to spend more time here than I want. Whatever, it's just my time. But the people are nice.

Bought a new Optima battery today, couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Installed no charge immediately & now I’m ready for winter. Matt’s customer service was exceptional. Definitely recommend

My favorite auto parts store by far. They're always willing to help and inform me. I've never felt I wasn't treated fairly or like I should already know what I'm doing or looking for. And they have a lot of patience with someone who is in and out, even several times in one day lol. Thank you for everything, I'll always be a loyal customer.

2/2 this location sold me the wrong items for my particular vehicle. Consequences could have been more dire had I not discovered their errors. The fist time I was changed a shipping fee. When I returned the items I wasn’t refunded shipping cost. Contrary to what I was assured during the sale. The most recent error they made was today. They sold me the wrong power steering fluid. Luckily I thoroughly researched this fluid because this location has lost my confidence. Had I installed this fluid, I may have found myself on the side of the road on a cold winters Alaskan night having to return only to spend more time and money buying a power steer pump. Resulting in more unnecessary maintenance. They don’t care if they make errors. They do not have customers concerns at heart.

I’ve been going here for 2-3 years now. Josh has been definitely the best help that I have received across the board with the different auto zones that I have been too. He’s very knowledgeable with his job , and knows vehicles. If you ask a question about your car he will not hesitate to go outside and help you and assist you. I have an older vehicle and every time I get time we go outside to look at the vehicle , and he advises me what I should buy next without the hassle of the salesman act. He is very laidback and extremely honest guy that I could rely on. I request him, and will only go to him in this store.
