Usually one of my go to spots. Went to return some items I didnt use (still in box) and the manager made a big deal of it saying "we dont do returns on tools." After explaining these were never opened she said "This is what happens when people get what they want all the time, Im just gonna give you a refund this time to get you out of my store." That "manager" needs a serious attitude check and a retrain on customer service skills.

The woman working at the register (do not know her name) is incredibly rude for absolutely no reason. Her customer service is a 0/10, and she makes it feel like you are an inconvenience just shopping there.

Second star is just because they were friendly. They can’t install batteries if your car has certain winterization features and didn’t even know to remove the plastic cover when they installed my windshield wipers. Had to drive the first trip with a non functioning wiper blade.

Worked in retail for 10 years. At the end of the day customer service is supposed to be above all and all managers should be taught to avoid language like "not our policy" or "we follow the rules here" went to exchange my sockets bc they didnt fit the driver of my torque wrench and manager grabbed the wrong part and started explaining the difference between metric and imperial?? I'm aware why it doesnt fit thats why I wanted an exchange. Told me to go to the other autozone, guess I will from now on.

Always my go-to auto parts store in Fairbanks because the staff is always friendly as can be and very helpful. Most auto parts shops you get what you need and leave. I often leave this one smiling.

Needed a wheel lock kit. Didn’t have the one I needed in stock but Charlie and Conner were EXTREMELY helpful in helping me find the right one. And then calling the other store across town and getting them to hold one for me. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and helpful and I appreciate their dedication to their jobs and helping customers

Do not go here. My car started having a misfire and I wanted to replace the spark plugs however did not have tools. I was hoping to take advantage of the free loan a tool program and do the repair in their parking lot. However when I went into the store I was greeted by a nice young man at the register who said he will try to help. The manager came out and said that they don't have a tool like that. I mentioned that it's okay I'll go somewhere else. She immediately turned hostile and started berating me telling me how rude I was being and began directly insulting my comments. It was one of the most unprofessional interactions I've had at a retail store in my life. I do not think there was ever an intention to help me and as a result I will never ever go to an AutoZone again. Go to the O'Reilly's down the road they were fantastic the whole time.

Terrible compared to other AutoZones all over the state. The manager is unknowledgeable and gives our made up auto info. I was getting oil. She told me my car would blow up if I mixed synthetic and conventional oil . I was buying conventional oil and she wanted to coerce me to spend more. When asked where the oil was initially, I was told the wrong place by another clerk. Came back to the counter to hear her gossip about an employee sleeping with her manager to a customer as side talk. This was a week and a half ago. Don't give out info just sell the stuff since uR info is in inaccurate. Rude customer service and shaft op somehow. Like I think they just have to hire a new head person, bcs the culture of that store is weird compared to other AutoZones. And it always starts with the top. Manager

I only give 1 star because that's the lowest score you can give. I went in to see if I could get a part for my Polaris and the redheaded girl at the counter was by far the rudest person In customer service I have ever dealt with. First I asked her I needed a silent chain for my Polaris 850 ATV she told me she didn't know what that was. I told her it was the drive chain for my fourwheeler. Then she asked me what kind of bike it was so I repeated that it was for a fourwheeler not a bike. She replied in a angry voice with "it doesn't matter, same thing ". I told her " uh but it does matter because bike and fourwheeler parts are not interchangeable, I've got the vin". She didn't seem interested in the vin or any info I had and kept talking to me like I was dumb and she was P'd off for some reason. We went back and forth till she just told me they didn't have it.. I think she just didn't want to try and find it and just wanted to go back to playing on her phone like she was when I came in. God forbid she actually have to do her job! The sucky thing is I like autozone but I'm not longer going to go to that location anymore.

I had a bad battery die on me 1 year into a 3-year warranty, but I had lost my receipt. I had resigned to pay the cost of a new battery when I came in, but the manager (I'm so sorry, the name tag was faded and I forgot to ask their name) did everything he could to make sure I didn't need to pay for a new one. I could have cried -- it's been a hard winter, and that kindness was worth weeks of groceries for us. Thank you for your help.

Came in to purchase some supplies. Backing in to parking spot I tapped the bollard post. A employee started to berate and began to escalate the situation. With raised voice treating me like I was his kid. I admitted to what I did and asked what would be a solution for this incident. So I provided one by giving $100.00 cash to the employee. He did not accept my solution to the incident. What are bollards for? Would a reasonable person expect bollards to be tapped every now and then? Your security cams might provide better insight. I am 70 years old, been here for over 50 years. I did purchase my supplies and bid a cordial good day. I came to this store as a matter of convenience. My second and last. Thanks for your time and patience. Much appreciated.

Got amazing 5 star service from Chris today. Not only was he able to return my light bulb and fet me the right one but he also came outside and helped me with my wiper blade that I couldn't figure out. The whole time he was pleasant, helpful and professional. Great job Chris and thank you.

Went to this store to help my daughter get a front license plate holder for her car since she is new to Fairbanks. I was blown away by how helpful one of their employees Carly was. She offered to come in over the weekend to help my daughter install the item and later helped in getting my daughter's car winterized. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful!

Bummer that more often than not, I can get stuff upwards of 50% cheaper on Amazon for the same product. They make up for it by having great customer service and a large selection of items.... So you can take your pick on which you prefer.
