I'm in and out fast and the staff is great. Harmon is definitely the place to take your scrap metal, aluminum, or copper whatever you may have. You can't beat their prices.
As always, the staff at this location are super friendly and helpful. Alaina the scale clerk was nice enough to walk out to the scale and snap a photo of my goods, and to remind me to open my back hatch. The guys on the yard were great as well.
We love going to Harmon Scrap Metal to take off our cans and other scrap. They are always so nice and have such a great attitude and great customer service. They are by far the best scrap yard in Athens, even North Alabama. They have one of the cleanest facilities we have been to. They are always helpful, they go above and beyond with their customers. I will highly recommend them to anyone!
Too bad there is only 5 stars because I would give this place 10 stars, super great establishment, clean nice and neat work space, very friendly staff, mrs wendy and mrs Carolina, absolutely outstanding young ladies , and hard working respectful young men they unloaded my truck for me, I highly recommend this establishment, thank you have a good day.

Me and my son (3 years old) took a load of scrap today. He absolutely loved the claw. (The operator made sure they had popcorn ready for us when we finished unloading) When we went to unload the copper the gentleman gave my son his magnet to help keep him entertained and would stop driving the forklift when my son said stop. When we went to the pay desk the lady gave him a sticker and gave us popcorn. We sat in the parking lot eating popcorn and watching the claw. It may have been simple things but to my son it meant the world. Will definitely be back. As far as prices compared to another yard down the road the prices were around $0.50 higher /100lbs steel and $0.30 higher /lb copper. Definitely recommend this amazing group of people.

Harmon Scrap Metal is a reputable company that specializes in the recycling and processing of scrap metal. I recently had the opportunity to visit their facility and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their operations. It was quick and easy.
First and foremost, the staff at Harmon Scrap Metal were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Blaze took the time to answer all of my questions with patience and expertise. His dedication to customer service was evident throughout my visit. He was such a sweet young man.
I had an awesome experience. Upon arrival, Cameron was super helpful. He stopped what he was doing to help me unload. He held a good conversation with me which made the process seem like it took no time. Then Jessica helped me. She was nothing short of amazing. Last, but not least, Anthony was great. I started talking to him through FB. He spent time showing me around (I invited it), its clear he's passionate about this facility.
All three took their time to ensure I got the most money for my material. I have had the best experience here out of all the junkyards I've been to from Illinois to Alabama.
My only improvement I'd suggest is at the cashier window. It is a little hard to hear and they weren't soft spoken. Not worthy of removing a star.
