Scam artists! Your warranty does NOT come with the purchase! You have to activate the warranty after receipt of the engine. This information was never given to me by costumer service. My experience with costumer service has never been pleasant. I feel like they purposely withhold giving you this information verbally just so they can sell you a piece of crap and keep all your money. Bad business all the way around. I don’t recommend that anyone do business with this company at all.

After making a purchase to buy a 2004 Subaru Forest XT 2.5L DOHC Turbo engine with Remanns, I noticed the extremely unfavorable reviews, 1.9 overall score. Of course, instantly, it gave me anxiety about my recent purchase with Remanns, and I called them to check on the engine purchase regularly. Past customers do have a valid point on Remanns' after purchase customer service. It's not the best. After the purchase and payment, their customer services consists of a questionable and somewhat sketchy call center. The person I spoke to didn't seem to have english as their primary language, however, they were able to look up my invoice number. The lack of english isn't the problem, it's that they weren't really able to tell me anything other than not to worry that my order is being processed, no other status update. With relief, I received an email that the engine was located and being mailed to my mechanic after about 10 days wait. According to my mechanic, the engine was in good shape, no visible or functional issues. Direct fit, and installed in 3 days. So, the process took about 2 weeks. The reason I'm writing this review is to provide a bit of a positive experience. My speculation is they take the order based on salvage stock. I'm sure it's very difficult to keep engines in stock. They likely take your order and payment first based on what's available in the salvage database, like Copart, for example. Then once payment is acquired, they work to fill the order from the database. What I hope they do is have a quality standard of engines when they locate so at least we all get good engines. I could've gotten lucky and the engine available was in good order. I wonder if after a while, if they aren't able to find a decent engine, they would be honest enough to let you know and offer to contineu to wait or refund your money. Read the other comments. What I do know, is I did get a decent engine and my car is running now because of Remanns. I would've liked to see better customer service after the buy. I would like to know more about my engine and be reassured that it is the mileage that they say it is. I was nervous the entire time after the purchase. I feel comfortable giving them 3 stars entirely based on the fact that their promise to sell me a good engine was true and delivered. 2 ways to get the other 2 stars is the be more transparent about the engine to somehow reassure me of the engine I'm receiving, mainly how much mileage, and then improve on the customer service after the buy. Knowing my new engine's true mileage helps me maintain it going foward.

If there was a rating less then 1, I would give them this. They would not provide a VIN for the engine. They did not provide the core return as promised. There company is a straight scam!! Buyer Beware!!

Years ago I had a great experience with Remanns. They shipped rebuilt engine for my Truck very quickly and efficiently. My recent interaction with them has been completely different. I contacted them about 3 weeks ago and confirmed they had a used 80k mile engine for my Raptor. They said they had it in stock and could ship it very soon. I paid for the engine and the next day the shipping department called and emailed to confirm a lift would be available at the shop receiving the engine. So I thought we were all set. After waiting another week I reached out to get the current status of the delivery. I left a message and no one called me back then the next day I called again and got connected to an outsourced agency (outside of the U.S.) They told me the engine is almost ready for delivery that they were going through the quality checks prior to shipping. I called a few days later and they said the same thing. I called again a couple of days later and got the same story. I asked to talk to a supervisor and they said the supervisor would say the same thing. So I called the sales department, since that department is not outsourced to a third party outside of the U.S. They were not able to help but did connect me to the shipping manager. I left a long message and asked for a call back. I never heard back. Then later, I received a generic email stating that there are some “supply chain issues” delaying my shipment. I need to get my truck back in service. I just wish they would be honest with me and let me know if they can or can not deliver what they promised. I’m thinking I may need to cancel my order and look elsewhere. They were very attentive when I placed the order and gave them my cash but they have been radio silent on actually honoring their end of the deal and getting me the engine they “had in stock”. My advice is to look elsewhere until they get there act together.

I cannot honestly say anything about this business. I promptly returned the engine I had purchased through the uown leasing program. No one needs a motor bad enough to deal with those folks. Trust me. What i can say about Remanns is that that is one of 10 different names this business DBA under the same roof. Shady. I was so furious I drove 5.5 hrs. and hand delivered the motor I received untouched.

The Toyota remanufactured engine I bought a week or so after installation had an oil leak and turned out as admitted to By the Remanns representative to my mechanic. Over the phone after viewing the pics, that the main seal was defective. Of course Remanns only covers $50 an hour so I was out another $900 to repair the defective main seal then Remains warranty company LKQ has taken weeks to OK the check be cut to pay the $900 to my garage mechanic. Meanwhile, my Garage, unsure of the whole situation has locked my car in one of their garages till the LKQ warranty company sends him the $900+ check I’m 70 years old had to get out my old bicycle to ride to my part-time job to make ends meet without my car now for the last 6/8 weeks thanks to Remanns defective main seal and poor Customer service, slow Customer Service in the warranty process. I am still waiting for my mechanic to be paid with the $900 plus check as I ride my bike. I cannot afford more car rental costs already over $500. Avoid Remanns!!!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LYING COMPANY!!! All of their companies on the BBB website has negative reviews from defective products they sell, to lying about the warranties they claim to have; of which happened to me after purchasing one of their engines.

Took 3 weeks to deliver transmission, citing "supply chain issues". Transmission arrived with faulty speed sensor. Replaced it, only to find that it has no third gear. Calls to the company go unanswered. Voicemail not returned. Emails returned by mailer daemon. Only got a call answered once. Told her what was going on and she sent me a link to fill out a form for the warranty claim. Two weeks later, still nothing. Nobody answers the phone or returns calls. I'm out over 2 grand with labor, and have a car I can't drive. Edit: Finally did get a full refund plus the extra shipping to a residential address. Took more than three months to straighten it out. Still don't recommend this place. Should have looked them up on BBB first. I would have never done business with them if I had.

I WOULD NOTV RECOMMEND THEM I Purchase a transmission from them in March 2024 took them legit 14 business days before they shipped and finally when it arrived at our mechanic and installed in April. Then in August started having car issues found out it was the transmission, called them said oh you didn't fill out the warranty paperwork which i didn't know i needed to. They had me submit a claim then denied it but never said anything no email no call . I waited the 14 days they said for review and reached out with no response finally I got someone in customer service and then advice it was immediately denied. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I would be wasting my time, I still wanted to, I was placed on hold and while waiting I was hung up on. They employee very deceitful tactics save your money don't buy from them.

This company is a scam. Tried to cancel the day after my invoice because the salesman told me 7-10 days to get the motor( recorded) Call and they said 7-14 days to ship..Sat. and Sun. don’t count. I canceled and they wanted a restocking fee even though I don’t think it was ever in stock. One day!!! No way they even located a moter much less pull it. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Don’t waste your time. They sure waste yours. How does everyone in that part of Wisconsin at this company speak in broken English? They are offshore

Terrible customer service and not a good company to buy from. I placed an order and found out just an engine would not fix my issues so I called to inquire about cancellation 3 days after order was placed and 1 day after invoice was emailed to me. They sent me a cancellation authorization form and told me if I wanted to cancel I would need to fill out and submit this form. I asked about the 25% restocking fee and was told I may or may not be subject to it. I opted not to take a chance on it and DID NOT fill out or submit the form they sent. I called a week later to inquire about a shipping number and was told the order was cancelled. I looked at my credit card statement and they did indeed take the 25% I filed a dispute at this time as well explaining and sending in all the documentation. I called remanns and was told it’s managements decision but I cannot speak to management or whoever makes that decision. I asked who officially cancelled it if it never submitted the form they could not tell me. So not only do I not have a truck but now this company held over $1700 of my money because of this. I called again told and was told someone will be in touch same as they told me on Friday. Buyer beware with this Remanns. STAY AWAY please take all of these reviews seriously.

Terrible company to do business with. They are great when you buy the motor...then tell you suddenly its going to take way longer to get it. Then its all down hill from there. I ended up canceling my transaction. They use multiple company names and are being sued by a bunch of people under ES ENGINES. Buyers be warned DON'T USE THEM!

Total scam. I paid $2500 for a transmission and when it was installed it didn’t have a working reverse so, I made a warranty claim and was instructed to send the transmission back and they would replace it. After week’s of back and forth they finally said they couldn’t find a replacement and I would be refunded with in 10 business days. Well, they never happened and here we are 5 or 6 weeks later with still no refund. I keep being told their finances department hasn’t approved my refund yet and every time I ask to speak with a manager or the finance department I’m either hung up on or placed on hold with no one ever answering. I’m probably going to have to take legal action to get my money back. Please save yourself the frustration and find another company

Terrible company to buy a “remanufactured” engine from! Feel like you’re getting piece of mind with a warranty, until you have to submit a claim on that warranty. 6 weeks, still the same answer, your case is being reviewed by management, they’ll contact you. The process is terrible, the forms they send to fill out don’t work, and their customer support team just wants to get you off the phone. Find a different place to get a replacement engine from.

Took a minute to get.my engine, kept calling and left on hold for two hours to find out where my engine was, had to contact my cc company to put in a dispute of payment because I thought I was being scammed. Even contacted the Wisconsin states attorney office for paperwork to file fraud charges, and then miraculously, someone called me, letting me know it was on its way. Once it was actually on a truck it was here in 3 days. Customer service is horrible, I left messages, kept calling, felt abandoned. The engine runs great and if I could only reach someone to verify the warranty is active I would be very happy, I'll try again today.

Ordered a engine for a 2015 dodge ram 1500 cost $5000 took two months to get the engine when it came. It had a broken valve cover broken intake, manifold, broken oil, filler, broken dipstick, broken thermostat housing and the oil pan was crushed due to the way they packed it I called them they will not replace it. All they will do is take the whole Motor back to send out another one. I already waited too much. Do not buy from this company. They are slow to react hard to get a hold of then when I called to get my corset back, they told me they can’t take it back because it cost too much for them to ship it back but yet they’re still charging me $500 for a core buyer beware do not buy lousy company

It’s a scam, I have purchased a motor for $7500 from them which was covered for 5 years or 50k miles. After just driving 1000 miles motor stoped working. Upon contacting the warranty department they denied the claim for no reason and when I ask them why they just hung up on me. I tried calling them back but same thing. Please beware when you make a purchase when them it’s a scam that’s why they have only 2 star rating.

Consistent with other reviews. Bought an engine, got installed and not working. They sent another engine and told me that labor for the installation will be reimbursed. Called warranty department several times and you stay on hold forever and not a single person will pick up the phone. Stay away. Not worth it.

Do not buy your engine here!! I bought an engine with a 5 year warranty under 80,000. The engine came and it was clearly over 80,000. I had a master technician install the engine and as soon as it was installed it failed. I tested the engine myself using a scan tool and there were multiple faults. I contacted customer service and the service was terrible. I sent them what they asked for warranty and it has been six months with no response. I was told to wait for Sancho to review the information and no response. I’ve emailed them and called them for months and no one will return my email or calls. When I get transferred to Sancho the call ends, and when I call his number it goes straight to voicemail. They told me I could get a refund of the engine price, $3,600, and I have not gotten a response. I did contact the Wisconsin attorney and they told me they’ve been sued multiple times over the same thing.

Bought a motor and transmission for a jeep wrangler. Took 2 months to receive a motor that had oil leaking from everything, oil cooler, head gasket, valve covers. All the weight of them motor was sitting on the crank shaft pulley. Transmission slips, wont change gears and you can smell transmission fluid burning. Customer service is horrible. Almost $7000 for a motor and transmission and both are bad. My mechanic wouldn't even install the motor. We are waiting on the warrenty dept to contact us back. Now i will also be asking for a full refund since the transmission is bad. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Very Bad Communication. I ordered my engine and they took my money right away, but a month later and still have no engine. It was suppose to be shipped within 14 days. None of the managers will answer their phones or return phone calls.

This company is a SCAM!! I ordered a engine that they did not ship out. After calling them repeatedly for a tracking number Bob the supervisor and another was very rude. Telling me to wait for a tracking number come to find out they did not even shipped the part.I waited fourteen days for the part and my car was waiting at the shop. I am paying more money each day that it did not arrive. I asked for a refund they lady told me I would have to talk to someone named Sancho. He does not exist. So I ended up with no part and 500 dollars taken out for what I don’t understand. Please be aware of how people do you once you have given them your hard working money. They are very unprofessional and don’t need to be in the customer service at all. If I could I would rate this company with a 0.0 they not even worth that they get a negative 0 times one hundred.

Exceptionally awful, they owe me money and refuse to answer the phone when I'm transferred, or answer my emails. I bought an engine and waited a week without hearing a thing. I called and they told me it would be a few more weeks to ship it. I asked for cancelation paperwork but read their 25% restocking fee so decided not to cancel. I never pushed the cancel button but yet somehow they are saying I canceled my order and they will not fully refund me. They also claimed my engine was shipping the next day when I called back. Then I had three different stories stating that it fell off the truck, and another from a different person I contacted that the engine didn't pass inspection so they refunded part of my money. I have tried several times to get a hold of Sancho. Apparently the only person that can help me but he never calls or emails me back, I am extremely unhappy. I either want my engine. Or a full refund. Good luck finding someone to actually help you. Do not attempt to buy anything from them, customer service is a joke and filled with lies.

I’m a technician for Volkswagen and my mom’s Routan jumped timing causing damage to the pistons. In a pinch I reached out the Remanns and they had no remanufactured engines available. A day later they emailed me about a low mileage used engine I could get from them for about $1,600. I saw a lot of poor reviews but they had helped me so I took a chance on it. It took about a month to get the engine, not exactly ideal, but in these days with Covid it was no surprise to me. The engine looked to be in decent shape, checked the timing and it was still timed correctly. I replaced the timing belt components and all of the gaskets for the engine and put spark plugs in it, all said me doing the work it cost us about $2,200. Just finished getting it back together and it runs like a top. You would not know it is a used engine. Very pleased with the purchase. Please ensure if finding an installer to use someone you trust. The product can only be as good as the installer. I put the little bit of extra money into this one to avoid any issues late and it is showing to be worth it! Thank you so much Remanns for getting my family out of a bind for less than a used car which I would have been putting money into anyways

Do not give them you're money as you will likely have to fight for it back. Bought an engine and they didn't ship it for over a month. I called and they said the would ship it next day. A week later I called back and they said it hadn't shipped. I demanded that they cancel. They sent a request to cancel and then the next day shipped the engine. There are no supervisors. An agent gave me a number to a guy named Sancho and it was disconnected. Their shipping manager Dale to this day has never returned my calls. Do not do business with these people or you will regret it.

My experience has been mixed. For the most part everything went very well and was a pleasant experience except for one issue. When my engine was shipped and I received the tracking information it was getting shipped to the wrong location. I tried to catch it before it left but nobody from the shipping and tracking department would answer the phone or call back. I did get a response from sending an email however it was too late to correct before it was in route. They did acknowledge that the shipping company had made a mistake and would get it re-routed. Two business days later I checked the tracking again and it showed delivered and that was it, no other correspondence. Again the only communication was when I sent a second email. They did get it re-routed to the correct destination but I feel that with better communication it could have put me at ease to know that my engine was going to the right place. This engine was to repair my truck that was broken in Colorado and we need that to get back home in Georgia so this was a little stressful for me. We are still waiting for the engine to make it to the final destination but at least I have a UPS tracking number to keep tabs on it. Things happen so I am not angry about what happened but better communication is what I feel could be improved.

I have purchased several engines and transmission through this company, and they have all held up ok. The reason for 1 star is that their customer service is TERRIBLE. I stopped doing business with them becuase if I ever had a problem and needed to call someone, it is almost impossible to reach someone. My last order was 5 weeks late! I would call in once a week to find out the status, they would always forward me to someones voicemail. I never received a call back. Finally got the transmission after 6 weeks, and it was WRONG! Very very frustrating. If you like dealing with the IRS phone system, then this company is for you! They do an amazing job at amazing me that their customer service is awful! In a nut shell: Terrible customer service, stick to your local supplier or dealer. Save yourself the headache!

I purchased a remanufactured engine and had it installed a few months ago.So far so good. The car is running great and the engine seems to be quality. So why only 3 stars? Because Remanns communication is terrible. I ordered the engine online. The order was processed immediately, but my order status never updated. After a few days I opened a ticket on the website to ask for an eta or tracking number. No response. The next day I called and had to leave a message. No return phone call. The shipping time wasn't bad. The engine did arrive at the shop in about a week. But I couldn't even give them a heads up because I never received a tracking number! Same thing with the core return. I initiated the return online. Status never updated. The shop told me they came about a week later to pickup the old engine. Their FAQ says the core deposit is returned within 45 days. I waited 60 before opening another case asking for a status on the refund. Again, no reply. I called and had to leave a message. The day after I called, the core charge was credited back. Still no return call or email. So again, no problem with the product but communication with their customers is non-existent.

This is a very disreputable company. I ordered a remanufactured engine from them after they assured me that they had the engine in stock and that it would ship within four days. My credit card was immediately charged the full amount of the transaction. After a week of checking on their website and not seeing any indication that the engine had shipped, I called them. The only number they provide is the sales department, for all others you must leave a message. Their recording states that they will contact you within 24 hours. After leaving messages on three different days with no response, I tried to contact them through their website. After completing the online form, pressing the Submit button has no effect and the message is never sent. I called the sales department and told them to cancel the order, but they didn't want to discuss it and blocked all calls from my cell phone. I know this is true because after trying several times with my cell and not being able to get through, I called them on my home phone and they answered immediately. It has been over a month now and the engine has not shipped, nor has my cancellation request been acknowledged. I have initiated a dispute inquiry with my credit card company to resolve this issue.
