Someone needs to come up with a way to repair the tracks. Pretty sure it's been a city vs railroad vs sadoff in the past but... it looks like it's the sadoff tracks that are the problem, not the road or the railroad. Maybe get out a large piece of thin metal and toss ot over the top when the track isn't being used? Something so going over it doesn't destroy the car.
Takes awhile to get loaded if you're getting a truckload. Docks for loading van trailers is on the main street that you turn off of the enter the scale. Cleaner than most scrap yards. Busy place.
Did not enjoy my experience here. Was there with 2 people ahead of me for almost 1.5 hours. Finally got to cashier to find my slip was marked sheet metal instead of aluminum. She sent me back to the weigher and then back to office to wait for another person to finish. Again the slip was incorrect so I left and let them keep the money and metal. Only 1 person allowed in office at a time. You have to wait outside with no shade or seats, only going on 90 degrees today. For me, it was a waste of time and energy today and I don't think I'll come back. Not customer friendly environment at all.
The guy in the general scrap loading was very nice, but is clearly overworked. He was scrambling to help customers. Expect 2-3 hours of your day sitting in the truck at the yard
The man working the retail yard was so patient and helpful, and the woman cashiering inside was knowledgeable and super sweet. I’m a 30-something woman in need of e-recycling who had never been to a place like this and they made it a breeze!
Everyone we met along the way was super nice and helpful, efficient, made everything super easy, gave clear directions, and cheapest place you'll find to get rid of TV's
Very unprofessional, and directions given were very unclear. Screwed us out of big dollars because the guys working did not want to take the time to sort the load. Sadoff stole our money and they won’t be getting our business again.
Great place with very friendly people. I was in and out quickly with their new setup open to the public. Helpful and friendly staff! Great location! If you have scrap metal, this is the place to bring it! A++
If you don't value your time, come here. They have zero respect for anybody who isn't their truck and employee. After 12pm (which BTW, they shut the whole place down for a half hour at noon) you may as well not even bother trying to drop a scrap load. On average it can take two to three hours to get out of this place. Sadoff employees are union so apparently this means they have the license to be slow, lazy and rude. Go to Alter. Haven't had a bad experience there yet.
