My son was working on a job site in the area and found a nail in his tire. He was 2 hours from home, so he could not drive in this condition. I called multiple places in the area only to hear that we are booked full due to the holiday and cannot get him in. The last place I called referred me to Main & Page. I called and spoke with Dan. He told me no problem taking care of this, so my son came in after work and Dan had him back on the road within 15 minutes at a very reasonable cost.

If the rating system would allow, we would give Dan 10 stars! He saved us. Our minivan’s front left tire blew out on 90E on a Sunday October afternoon 30 minutes into our drive back to Detroit, Michigan after visiting our daughters who are UW-Madison students. Dan is intelligent, experienced, calm, caring and committed to customer service. Immediately when we connected via cellphone with him, he asked if we were safe. He asked if we were pulled over on 90East or if we managed to drive to an exit. He put us at ease by pledging to get to us and take care of the problem. He inquired about the numbers printed on the tire so he could come prepared with a replacement if necessary. When he arrived, he was immediately a man of action, and very polite. He also calmly explained that he thought the tire could be safely plugged rather than replaced. Since the minivan is front wheel drive, he insisted on moving the tire he expertly plugged to the left rear and moved the left rear tire to the left front. (He thought of that; we didn’t). He also ran the soapy water test to make sure the repaired tire was sound. He was faster than a NASCAR pit crew! Dan barely charged us anything. The only downside to this experience was listening to my husband lament on our 7-hour drive home that he felt like a cheapskate giving Dan so little money. I feel compelled to also report that when I first telephoned a Tire Plus and a Firestone, I did not sense the commitment to customer service that Dan puts forth without hesitation. Those other stores’ managers told me that even if I got my car towed to them by 3:30 pm that they could not promise to change the tire that same day. The towing was going to be at least $123. And they suggested I line up an Uber driver to meet me at their place of business to drop me off at a hotel, and to come back the next morning. I told them I am battling breast cancer and had to be back in Detroit, Michigan the next morning for chemo. In contrast, Dan wished me well in my healing from cancer journey. We still marvel when thinking about how fast and capably Dan worked on our car the moment he pulled up to us. It also was obvious that Dan is committed to investing in quality equipment to aid him in efficiently working on cars/trucks. We suggest adding Dan and his phone number to your cellphone contacts. We have. He is a role model business owner. We need more people like Dan in the world.
I’ve had wonderful experiences when getting my vehicle serviced here. My friend recommended I bring my car here and I’m so glad I did! Quality of work and service is amazing and price is great. They have gone above and beyond.
After getting a slash in a tire, Dan met me at my car, took me to Discount Tire (15 miles) to get a new one, then drove me back to and put it on the car. Without Dan, I was literally screwed on a Saturday afternoon 90 miles from home.
Price was reasonable but he went above and beyond to help me. Use these guys for all your needs.
Dan came to my house today and changed the starter on my truck right in my driveway!!

Dan worked us in when we had our van break down amid travels and communicated thoroughly and courteously. If we lived locally, we would go to him without question.
One of, if not, the best mechanical service centers you could ever go through would be here. Honest owner, honest mechanic, honest value all in all. Had a bit of a starter/electrical issue, and they had it fixed within the day(6hrs). Super fast for the issue at hand. Very reasonable price. I would very much recommend this establishment if you are in a pinch or need trustworthy service.
Dan and his staff do great work. I messaged him about a charging problem and he got me in right away. I explained I had a second vehicle and didn’t need it back right away. He still did the work right away and got it back to me within 36 hours. He was great at communication and informed me about everything he was doing. I would highly recommend them to do work here in Stoughton.

i loved my experience with this company. Steve, my driver, was on-time, courteous, friendly and competent. he also drove more than 90 minutes to get to me in where I broke down, and cheerfully (considering) towed me another 40 minutes further. almost 2.5 hours out of his way, when no one closer would help.
My check engine light was on for some time, had to give my coworker a ride to her vehicle which was being diagnosed here. Everyone who was working, LITERALLY, went out of their way to figure out what the code was to fix my car. The owner, Dan, WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND out of his way to find me a cheap used tire the following day. 1000/10 recommend coming here for ALL CAR NEEDS.
Alert. Horrible experience. We stopped to there shop with air cooler hose disconnected. This is 20 min job to install it. Charge was 1.5 hour labor (225.00) and part is around $50.00, they charged $147.00. Total bill was $424.62
Total scam. Avoid at all cost.

Just had Dan come and pull our car out of a field. He responded very quickly to our call for help, clearly knew what he was doing, and was very concerned not to do any damage to our car. Checked car for any damage once he pulled it out. Cost was very reasonable. All I all, a very positive experience and we would use this company again without hesitation. Thanks Dan!
I was definitely in a bind with a dead battery today. The owner was kind, helpful and had great communication. They offered to tow, pick up, whatever I needed. Being new to the area, I’m grateful that they were so nice and efficient (it was all completed within a few hours, even though they had to pick up a battery in Madison as they didn’t have the one I needed in stock). I will definitely be a return customer and I highly recommend them to others. Thank you, thank you!

Grade A, I had a problem with my car broke down up the road, everyone else in Stoughton was closed/booked/out of operation with Covid-19. I called these guys up he said "It will be a couple of hours but we can make room for you, I'll pick your car up this morning". I was driving before noon. Good, profesional, fair, & honest folks working here, even to an out-of-towner like me. I came back down here from Dodge County to get this car worked on some more... Different problem! Lol
I have nothing but the most positive things to say about Main & Page Auto after breaking down on the highway while passing through on the start of a road trip. We broke down on a Friday afternoon, every auto place for miles was closed until Monday. Luckily Dan at M&P Auto really saved the weekend/trip and offered to meet us in the morning to take a look, even recommended a place to stay down the road. We had the car towed here and met him in the morning when he wasn't supposed to be working. He was on-time, professional, and got my car repaired in an impressive amount of time.
