I would like to share my experience at Fitzgerald’s Motel. We are a family that loves to travel, and this time we chose Wisconsin Dells as our destination. I asked a few friends who also travel a lot, and they recommended this motel to us. We immediately decided to go.||I want to mention that we didn’t call ahead to make a reservation—we simply went straight to the office. As soon as my family and I walked in, we were welcomed by the beautiful décor in the office, and then by Margaret, a person with a warm heart and a kind, gentle voice. After a short introduction, we explained what we needed. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we got a room, even without a reservation, and by how many complimentary benefits we received.||A very important detail is the parking—it’s very spacious and located right next to the room. This was a big relief since we had quite a lot of luggage. The cleanliness was exceptional, from the entrance of the room to the hand towels, each one perfectly placed in its spot. Every detail was carefully arranged. The room also included a refrigerator and a microwave at no extra cost.||That weekend we had an amazing time because we also celebrated my birthday, and I can honestly say this was the perfect place for it. The motel’s location is just perfect—right in the heart of town. And if you ever feel too tired to walk around, you can simply relax on the balcony chairs and enjoy the beautiful view of the main street.||Another great thing is how quiet it is at night—you can get perfect rest. We also appreciated how kind and welcoming everyone was, even giving us suggestions on places to visit in the area. I believe this motel has everything that matters: a great location, very clean rooms and bathrooms, large parking, total nighttime quiet, friendly and helpful people, affordable prices for everyone, and beautiful flowers (for those who love flowers, like me!).||I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend this place. If you visit even once, you’ll fall in love with it, just like I did.

Clean. Simple. Nicely decorated. Comfy beds and convenience of microwave and fridge. Great location!

I enjoyed staying at the Fitzgerald’s Motel in Wisconsin Dells, WI on August 30, 2025 (room #35). Their unique guest service started with my first call when I recognized the human voice. Margaret answered politely all my questions and I received accurate information about the place before I placed my reservation. I liked the fact that they respect one on one interactions because people (like me) still want to have the ability to talk with a live person and the don’t need to red old reviews( some extremly subjective) and look at old photos of the place. Upon check-in, I had to show my valid photo ID,( that this is me) and I didn’t pay Resort Fees( and I save some money). Also, I received a full information about the available attractions, shops and restaurants in the city. Many of them are walking distance. My room was spotless, supper comfy bed with fridge and microwave( free) and beautiful decorated. Margaret and Eugen work very hard to keep the Motel updated( inside and outside). There are many flowers baskets hanging pool over the 2 buildings and in the pool area. Everything is week maintained. This little paradise is adorable. They treat guests as friends and family. They are very king people. They are proud of 76 years of business and loyal guests! The quietness, service, cleanliness, location, rates, plenty of flowers, branches and chairs to relax and the facts that is private made absolutely my stay with grate experience. I recommend this small, classic, charming boutique motel to all( young and old)!

I love this place... It's so homey and clean.. the owners Margaret and Eugene are the best.... Stayed there many times... It's centrally located and perfect for my purposes... It's small but mighty..... Flowers everywhere

This place is so amazing and cute. It is tucked away where you feel isolated from the hustle and bustle of the dells, yet it is right on the strip so your close to everything. And the family that owns it are the sweetest people you could ever meet. This will be the only place we stay when we go.

What a great spot to lay your head even better location. Bed very comfortable and clean

Wonderful owner, very friendly and accommodating! We stayed in room 40, it is on the second floor. The king size bed was damaged on the left side, very uncomfortable and hard to sleep on, it should be replaced. Pillows are quite flat, so bring your own if that bothers you. Room has a very tiny fridge and microwave, no table to eat at, but a small coffee table with a lamp and 2 upholstered chairs. AC works great, plenty of dresser drawers, bathroom is old school and clean. Reminds me of staying at my grandparents house, cozy, and safe. Close to everything, walk across the street to restaurants. I will stay again!

This place is perfect. 2nd time there and great location right downtown, perfect little pool with lots of patio seating, comfy beds, clean and friendly owners. We will be back

I honestly wrestled with my thoughts when it came to reviewing this place. Not because I had any negative thoughts about it, but because i was afraid if I left a good review that ppl would start coming here more and drive the prices up...OR that ppl would go there and destroy it somehow. I've had my eye on this place the last 3 times I've stayed in the Dells. Usually we have kids with us and end up at Mt Olympus or one of the other water park hotels and for 200-300 per night..you'd think youd get your money's worth out of your room. But sadly, thats usually not the case. You pay for it and your room is less than comfortable and just isn't nice. My husband and I came here this time without kids..so we wanted a good location and my thoughts were that we could pay far less for a room and expect a room that wasnt as nice but if it turned out to be then we'd be pleasantly surprised. Well...this place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, the bed was super soft and comfortable, the water pressure and temperature were perfect, the room was big enough. The absolute only thing we had to even remotely complain about was that there weren't many tv channels. But that honestly didn't matter. 1. Bc we weren't there enough for it to. 2. Bc even with the few we had we were able to find something to watch when we needed to. The pool was clean and not crowded. It costed 86 per night to stay here and the place has been running since the 40's. Expect some outdated stuff with that in consideration. But all in all this was a wonderful stay for us. Exactly what I was looking for. The owners were so nice and respectful. They have actual keys and not plastic and their flowers and decorations were beautiful and well cared for. If you're considering staying here..let this be your decision making review. Thank you Fitzgeralds, for making our anniversary special and comfortable.

These nice, clean rooms are a hrowback to the 70's. Nice location within walking distance to the shops on the main drag and the plaza where they play live music daily. The beds were pretty hard, the shower head barely allowed enough water to rinse off with and the water would randomly turn scalding hot. The random people beating on the door, trying to get in was off putting, but you can't beat the price and the owner was lovely. All things considered, we'd stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights with 20 other family members for a family reunion. We all enjoyed a great staff, clean and comfy rooms with nice beds, and great location and prices. We would definitely stay here again. We felt right at home. Thank you, Fitzergerald's for helping us have a memorable anf stress-free weekend.

I So Miss this Place. The River Walk is Beautiful at night. The Ducks Ride so Exciting. My Parents would Bring us as kids every August here. Great Memories. Love the pool area. Don't forget to visit Deer Park and Pick up A Tshirt in Town. Miss Wisconsin Dells was A Part of my childhood.

At least 2 to 3 times in the summer my fan and I drive to the Dells to enjoy a great vibes awesome foods and the best water parks in the world but the best place we feel safe and like family is here this place is home away from home every time it gets better n better we love u guys I call the manager the Lady from Heaven she is so kind and sweet I got some flowers last year in my bday and a coupon I absolutely love it

Currently staying with my wife and son for 3 days. Have been staying at Fitzgeralds only for over 30 years. Margaret and Eugene are wonderful and kind. Reasonably priced, clean and great location. I never stay anywhere else. Why pay more?

The Hosts and staff are So friendly, you cannot find a better experience .Love the outside decor and heated pool ,safe , quiet and close enough to walk to multiple restaurants and activities. Very comfortable rooms with outside seating .Highly recommend this family owned hotel !

Actual moment of the beauty of the Fitzgerald's Motel on 75th Anniversary 2024. It was a favorite Motel in the past and it is today in downtown Wisconsin Dells. It has Beautiful outside pool, Beautiful rooms,Clean property with great maintenance Service with a smile Margaret and Eugene are always helpful you can trust them. We were very pleased to stay at the quiet, peaceful place. All Guest like to chat with one another about their happy time on vacation. This no other place in like this in the Dells with that many flowers around. You will Enjoy this place!

Immaculate accommodations with a retro flair. Owners very friendly and hospitable. Loved our room decor and furnishings. The location is walking distance to the train station, boat tours and all the local shops. Would definitely stay here again.

I love this place! My husband and i try to go every year and every year it's wonderful. The owners are amazing! Always friendly and kind. Motel is very well kept and very clean. Beautiful scenery and love all the fresh flowers and plants. Its very warm and cozy... WILL ALWAYS RECOMMEND 100%!! Updating my last review.. We stayed here in July of 2020. Unfortunately, after many years of staying here, we will not be returning. The room was dirty. Rugs are not vacuumed. Cigarette holes burnt into the blankets and rugs. Even the bathroom was a bit dirty. Holiday weekend so no other rooms were available. They sent someone to clean up everything. Later that night had to listen to our neighbors in the room next to us screaming at each other and arguing all night long. Then one of them came out and started to puke over the railing from the second floor. Called the office but it was late and no one answered. I guess the very low rates and the reason this place is SO OUTDATED. No new tvs, bedding or curtains. Feels as if I was staying in a motel from the 1970's.

We were there just this last weekend! Anytime we go to the Dells we stay at Fitzgerald's. It's a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very nice and clean. I would suggest to to the Dells to stay at Fitzgerald's. It's close to everything you've been walking distance. You will love the owners Margaret and Eugene.

What can I say, this motel is one of my favorite places to stay. Margret and Eugene are some of the nicest people around. My family and I have been staying here for over 30 years. Every time we stay we reminisce on all the years of memories that we have shared. ||The rooms are always immaculate and quiet, the pool is well-kept, and the flowers and greenery outside add to that personalized touch. ||The prices are beyond affordable, which is great because it gives you more money to spend on the endless number of adventures the Dells offer. ||A+, 5/5 I recommend this place to family, friends, and co-workers.

Wonderful place to stay! Motel is so friendly and so are the owners! This is a very clean place to stay. Trust me my wife would not stay here if it wasn't clean! So well maintained and beautiful flowers all summer long. The price is right and very family affordable. Driving is very easy, take exit 87 off of 90/94 and it is 2 miles on Broadway Street, main street downtown. Discount Tickets are available for activities Boat rides within walking distance. Walk up and down the main streets of downtown and enjoy all the wonderful stores and eateries. I have stayed here many times and as a retired Pest control company owner and CPO in Florida, this place is 5 stars in my opinion. Cannot be cleaner! New furniture, beds and plenty of soft towels. This is a down home place to stay, just like being at home and the wonderful hosts make it so. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very nice clean rooms, warm pool, and friendly owners. We did have ants in our room but it was addressed and we were given a sincere apology from the owner. Was given a great rate and early check in time. Super homey, comfy beds. Allowed my cousins in the pool past close since they were being super well behaved. Will most definitely be staying again!! You can hear the music from the free bands on the corner its right off of the strip and about a 2 min walk to a CLEAN laundry mat with an attendant. Right across from a Lutheran Church! Close enough to the strip to be able to walk places but far enough that you don't hear the noise!!

First, owners Margaret and Eugene are very nice accommodating friendly people. The rooms are very clean. Prices are reasonable. Clean pool and motel very well maintained. My wife and I have stayed here for the last 2 years. Plan on coming back next year. After vacationing in the Dells for many years, this place is by far our favorite place to stay!

What a wonderful place to stay. Great mom n pop motel. Eugene and Margaret are such great people, they make you feel so welcome, like one of their family. The weather was bad the morning of our motorcycle group departing, they reassured we could stay as long as we needed for the rain to clear, no pushing us out by check out time. They provided us the peace of mind that we didn't have to rush out and also let us know that our rooms were available for the night if we needed. The rooms are very clean and nice bedding, although next time I will bring my own pillow. Pool area was exceptionally clean, nice table and chairs provided. Our entire group enjoyed the pool. Great location on the strip in the Dells, close enough to walk to anything, but up the strip enough to be just outside of the craziness of all the people grouped together. She even gave us safety cones to put at the front of our parking spots so no one would pull in and hit the bikes and also so we could save our same spots while we were out. We will definitely stay here again and can't wait to visit with Margaret in the office again!
