Our window broke and was stuck open on a Sunday when it was 20 degrees out, an hour away from home. These kind guys fit us in immediately on a SUNDAY. They are genuinely nice people and absolutely are not going to overcharge you. Need help in a pinch, call C&R.
Life savers. I am not from the area, about 3 hours away. Broke down right outside of town. They gave me a number to a reliable tow company. Dropped off car at closing but they stuck around to take a look. Before my ride could pick me up they not only started but diagnosed and ordered the part. Next morning I got the call car was ready. Owner showed me the broken parts, educated me and was more than fairly priced.
Amazing service. Fuel line got hit by a rock and broke. This guy was able to problem solve and get us back on the road. Our vacation was saved by this shop. Ford and other places were estimating a week until they could fix it. These guy got it done in about an hour or so after the car made it in.
They worked passed their posted closing time to get the work done. Amazing group of people.
Traveling cross country stupidily with an exhaust leak. These guys saved my butt! I expected the worst, and actually it wasn't bad! $235 and I'm back on the road. Couldn't be happier. Thank you guys ??
The owner and his wife are literal angels sent from heaven. We came down from Indiana to Wisconsin for Christmas and the people that have fixed. Our car had overcharged our battery and all you smelled was sulfur, and the Car stopped working on Christmas Eve and nobody was open, But luckily, they were still open and we got a whole new battery and a new air filter for a good price and they were so kind and caring and they couldn’t have made me and my family‘s Christmas any better and I really appreciate them and I will always remember them❤️
While passing through on a road trip, I heard my rear brakes making a scraping sound and knew I needed new brake pads or rotors. I didn’t think anywhere would be open on a Sunday, but this place was. They were able to fit me in right away and got everything repaired in an hour and a half for a very reasonable price. The mechanic was awesome, and we were able to get back on the road way sooner than we expected.
I was driving from WI back to Twin Cities and my tire light continued to come on after filling tires up with air. C&R Automotive let me stop by on a Sunday short-notice and checked the air and tires for a leak to assure a safe drive home. They were very kind and helpful!
We was visiting the dells from out of town and our car started making weird noises but c and r had it diagnosed and fixed in less than a hour. I am so thankful for them and would always recommend them to anyone. Very professional and polite.
We had a huge mess with our car the day before we were supposed to leave. Wisconsin Customs was there to help us on a Sunday morning. Very fair price and very great people! I would go there for sure if you are in the dells and have car trouble!! I would give them 6 stars if I could!!
My truck broke down on a weekend trip to the Dells on 4th of July weekend. Nobody was open except Wisconsin Customs. I called and he recommended which towing service to get (Craig’s which I also highly recommend), towed it to the shop and had it ready the next day on the SUNDAY 4th of July weekend! GREAT WORK AND FAIR PRICR THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I want to thank the nice owners again for looking out for me and helping me out when my Nissan Rouge broke down on me while in Wisconsin Dells on a trip. I couldn’t be more thankful for them at the time of need.
Out of town emergency repair. Arrived in the Dells Friday night with a blown oil cooler hose. Oil was everywhere except in the oil pan. Called everywhere and this was the only shop that answered that could actually get me in for the repair.They helped me with the tow and luckily they were able to get the part. They had me up and running Saturday morning. That’s what I call “service”. Thanks again
2000/10. I recommend Wisconsin Customs for anyone having car troubles. I’m from out of town and they went out of their way to help me. Truly the best individuals I have come across in awhile. Honest and reliable! I wish I lived closer because this would be my go to auto repair shop! Rick was amazing!
I cannot say enough great things about this place and the owners. After being told by another place our car needed a certain part to stop gas from leaking, we brought it here. They fixed it fast (no part needed) and literally saved us from driving home in an unsafe car or being stuck in the Dells! Lifesavers to say the least! so thankful good people still exist I this world!!
1000/10 I can not properly say how much I loved this place and these people. My mom and I were on our annual trip north when our car suddenly would not turn over. We found this place and called and they were able to get us in right away! They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe leaving our car with them! Their workmanship is amazing and their customer service was the best. Plus, being a holiday weekend, the cost was more than fair. I would recommend them 100% to anyone in the Dells area!! Thank you guys so much, and we wish you the most success in the future.
Helped my daughter out in a pinch! She was driving from Madison to Fargo and encountered trouble just outside Madison. Wisconsin Customs helped her arrange a tow, ride out to the shop and had her car fixed and on the road so quickly! Very friendly and understanding. A reliable and honest shop that makes sure young drivers are safe and taken care of. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs car repair in the dells and surrounding area! They saved the day!! Great group of guys. We are forever grateful for how great you took care of us!!
10/10 recommend, we stopped in the Dells on our way to Chicago and had an oil leak, we were able to be seen quickly by Wisconsin customs and had a great experience with the owners. Very fair in pricing and honest with their assessment of our car issues.
I got a flat tire with messed up lug nuts in the middle of a bachelorette party. They were the only place open on a Saturday, so I got towed to them. They got me in right away, figured out how to get the tire off, fixed the leak, and put it back on all for free! They were so nice, efficient, and it was overall the best way the situation could have gone. These guys saved my weekend!
Unfortunately, we had car trouble on our last night at the Dells. Thanks to roadside assistance through my insurance, I was able to get a tow truck out within an hour. The guys that came recommended Wisconsin Customs, but by this time it was too late to call them. The next morning I made a few calls to several repair shops in the area, but Rick from Wisconsin Customs was the only one willing to help out.
We got the car towed there and upon arrival, we were greeted with nothing but hospitality. His wife Cindy was an absolute angel. She gave us a tour of their farm and introduced us to all their animals. We even got to pet the most adorable pot-belly pig brothers and some super cute pups! We hung out with them in the garage and watched a movie from the car until the part came. They were so sweet to our 10 year old, and needless to say even she enjoyed her time waiting at an auto repair shop. After a couple of hours, and lots of chatting, we were good to go and back on the road to home.
What started off as a nightmare — being basically stranded hundreds of miles away from home, really did end up with a happy ending and I’m so grateful for everyone at Wisconsin Customs!
Very honest, affordable, and THE BEST customer service! Hoping I never have to see them ever again, but I do wish them the absolute best. Highly recommend for anyone with car issues in the area.

We were visiting the Dells and experienced some problems with our vehicle. We brought it to Wisconsin Customs and although it was a Sunday and they were technically closed, they still fit us in to make sure we got home safely. The owner and his wife were two of the nicest people that you will ever meet. They diagnosed the problem and even brought us in the garage to show us what was wrong. They showed us exactly what was needed and didn't try sell us things we didn't need. On top of all this, they were willing to add an extra four hours onto their day to get the part and fix it for us. If we lived in the area, this would be our go to place. We really appreciate Wisconsin Customs knowledge, honesty and generosity.
Our van was vibrating and the check engine light came on while we were passing thru this area on our way home from vacation. Saturday afternoon. Called Wisconsin Customs after searching online. Best decision!! Rick read the diagnostic codes, drove a bit, solved the vibration (tire issue), advised what maintenance could wait until we were home, and got us safely back on the road the same day. Our children were distracted with tv out of the heat, and my husband & I enjoyed chatting with Rick and his wife while we were there. While no one wants their vacation interrupted by vehicle issues, we are so thankful for our experience at Wisconsin Customs!
I am extremely grateful for the guys at this shop. My car broke down while on a trip to the Dells with my daughter. What I thought was a simple dead battery turned out to be a dead alternator. Stranded in the local Walmart parking lot, I gave these guys a call and their customer service is amazing!!! They provided a very affordable price over the phone and had me up and running in an hour. I can’t thank them enough for handling this very stressful situation quickly and professionally.
Rick was a life-saver and a huge blessing! Just as we began heading home from our family vacation in the Dells, our transmission went out. An employee at a nearby gas station recommended Rick. He came out immediately, towed our car to his shop and made the necessary repairs to get us back home. His price was very reasonable and he even called us a couple of hours later to be sure we weren't having any issues. We are so grateful to Rick and recommend him highly!
Great Guy! I traveled to Wisconsin dells from Rochester Minnesota to hear what sounded like a wheel bearing issue. I called Brett as he was open weekends. He had me drop my vehicle off and gave me a ride back to the resort. About an hour later he called me to let me know the issue was my lug nuts had been loose. He then returned to my resort and picked me up to take me to my vehicle. He told me there would be no charge. I gave Brett a tip. I was grateful to find a honest professional mechanic in Wisconsin Dells. Great guy! Thanks again Brett!
Awesome place. On vacation and truck troubles. Not a problem WI Customs. Open on Sunday, got us in right away. Fair prices and Brett is fabulous!! Gave me a ride back to town and picked me up when work was done. This is the place you want to go in the Dells for any car repairs!! Good people here.
Went to Wisconsin Dells and our vehicle broke down. This was one of the worst experiences. We needed our vehicle up and running within 1 day. We called several places to see if they can take care of our vehicle. And NONE of the mechanics called us back. We asked one of the Kalahari employees for help and he gave us Brett’s contact information. We called his number and luckily answered the phone. We were relieved someone actually answered the phone. Him and his help where wonderful. They came out, gave us an estimate to fix the vehicle and had it up and running the following day. They gave us a fair price and fast service. We couldn’t be more thankful. Greatly recommended for any mechanic needs.
This past Friday I had a flat tire in the Dells area. Wisconsin Customs showed as the only place open, and was 15 minutes from closing - luckily, Owner Brett answered and said they could help.
Well after closing time, Brett and his team found the leak, found a new tire online, we went and got the tire, and they installed. They took almost three hours of their Friday night to help me, an out of town stranger, get back on the road. On top of all this, they asked for very modest compensation.
I’ve never had a better experience with any mechanic, period. Brett is committed, experienced, knowledgeable, and most of all, has very high integrity.
I’m extremely thankful I found these guys - I can’t recommend Wisconsin Customs highly enough. Thank you Brett and team for all of your help!
