My family and I were traveling on Thanksgiving when a rear shock on my car decided to give out. Not only did they have my shock but the employee let me use whatever tools I needed to replace the shock. We had 2 hours left of our 8 hour trip and without their help we would have had a outrageous tow bill or had to spend Thanksgiving in a hotel. I will always be grateful for them saving our Thanksgiving.
My husband and I were out of town, and we ran into car trouble - we stopped here late Friday night, and Austin tested and found out it was our battery. We bought a new one and Austin helped us tremendously. He then checked our alternator and found out that was gone as well.. so we had to purchase that too. He and a local mechanic (that just so happened to be at the store) helped us get everything taken care of. Austin even stayed another hour after the store closed to make sure we were safe to go home! His customer service is unmatched.
Called the store on Saturday to check if they had a part available. They said they didn't but can get it the following day. I called Sunday around 2 and spoke to someone who said it was on the truck and should be there around 4 as that's when the Galax truck gets there. I didn't have a ride there to get the part at 4 so I called Monday. Then get told that the other guys on the weekend were wrong and they don't get deliveries on the weekend but it'll be at the store Tuesday.
Called Galax as I was just going to get a ride down there and the nice lady there told me that the truck that does deliveries between stores doesn't go to Wytheville so she's not sure what they're talking about. She said normally they would have to send one of their employees down to pick up at Galax! So 3 different people at Wytheville told me all incorrect information. I would have ordered from Advanced Auto or AutoZone had I known this ordeal would carry into Monday and I need to go to Galax. Terrible customer service.
Super helpful staff. I had battery problems and they quickly diagnosed the problem and helped me to determine what I needed to do. The place was very clean and seemed very stocked.
The two gentlemen working didn't seem to even notice I'd entered the store, much less say hello. As a novice shade tree mechanic, I'm confident I know more about engines and parts than they did. I had to repeat my make, model, and needed part twice.

Results were good. Friendly staff, helpful as can be. Nice conversation to fill in the dead time while product was being rung up and paid for.
This store is amazing! Shortly after moving to the area our daughter’s boyfriend recommended this location to us. It’s awesome guys!!!!! We only go here now! If we’re out of town and need to purchase something we call Tommy at Oreilly’s to get a recommendation. Best customer service ever! Super knowledgeable, Tommy and the team here have been exceptional every time we have gone here or called in over five years! Thanks Oreilly’s!!!! We’re customers for life!!!!
Needed gel cell battery for my 4 wheeler. Didn't have one exactly like my old one but quickly came up with an equivalent that worked just as well. Good service.
My boyfriend and I have had to do some serious car maintenance recently. Brakes, oil change, etc. Oreilly’s deals and tool rentals are such a convenience! Christian has helped us each time and is very friendly and knowledgeable. They always have everything we need in stock. Thank you for your good service and for being available and open for business during all this madness.
Price's started out fair, now they have become higher than most, example I checked on price for manifold gaskets they wanted $79.00 I got them from autozone for $19.00 big difference, also their help ain't much help not very knowledgeable .I use to only shop here but not anymore.
I was traveling and my car was driving strange all at once. I had been on the road over an hour I did not know what was wrong or what to do. I drove into the O Reillys parking lot went in the store. George greeted me and all I said was I have a problem I am panicking and I am about to cry. George smiled and said we do not want that. Let's check your car out. He checked it advised me I needed a mechanic. I said I was out of town, I ask if he could recommend a honest mechanic? He said yes and he did. He gave me directions. My car got fixed, I continued my travels.
George was so patient, nice and helpful. O Reillys is so lucky to have a wonderful, nice and knowledgeable employee.
