Highly recommend this AutoZone!!! I was driving through in a car that had failing windshield wipers when I hit this part of VA and hit snow late in the evening. I ended up stopping until I could get to an auto store the next morning. Pulled in to two different auto places along 81 with posted opening times that ended up being locked and lights off (so frustrating!) before I got to this AutoZone. They were actually open when they say they would be! A snowy miracle!! I pulled in during frosty low 20 degree weather and flurries and Mr. Charlie and the fellow with long blonde hair and beard helped me change out the windshield wipers. The wipers on the Mustang were pretty stuck before the snow had froze them up. Charlie and co worked together to get them loose and changed to the much improved new wipers. SOOOO appreciative of their help. Could not have been kinder, didn't treat me like an idiot and helped me change windshield wipers about 7:30am in freezing temperatures! Can't get much better service than that! I was back on the road in no time. Truly wish the rest of the roadtrip was as easy as this pit stop was. Hope you fellows had a Merry Christmas. My family has had to hear me rave about the AutoZone's service lately! Thank y'all again for the help!

My wife and I just want to express our gratitude to Melissa. We were on vacation when our rear brakes needed replacing. She got us the right parts and we were back on the road within a couple of hours.
Our brake calipers froze up on a Saturday afternoon,all mechanic shops were closed. We were on the way to Ohio from NC. Had no choice but to fix ourselves. The employees were so nice and helpful, loaned us tools. Was back on the road in about an hour and a half. Thank you again

BEWARE! My 31 year old son took a belt for my husband's dump truck that he needs a match for to the Wytheville Va AutoZone. He's taken this good belt to several places to see if he can match it for my husband....the person at Auto Zone took it to the back to check...and he CUT it to measure! Without asking and it was one of 2 belts needed for our dump truck! When my husband called they said my son gave them permission!!! Why lie? My son is a chief engineer and helping us with repairing the dump truck...that he was looking for an "additional belt" like the one he had in his hand!!!
We were travelling from Cleveland ohio to Florida and our engine light went on. We received the best service from the kindest trio (Jenny, Josh and Jenna). Kudos to these 3 for helping travellers in need!
My car’s oil light was on, I walked in 5 minutes before closing, the two guys working tonight 3/6/24 were incredibly nice and checked my oil level and filled my oil tank for me in the rain minutes after closing time because I needed to drive a long way and had a very low level. Amazing and helpful folks here. Had a core to return for a refund - they were happy to handle it and give me my cash back. Even as I purchased it in New Jersey they still did it. Both the older male and female employees made pleasant conversation and even suggested the way to avoid a construction delay as I drive on home to TN
Beside the typical parts place it was so great that they were willing to help us when we had an emergency repair needed on our van! Our thermostat stuck closed and kept over heating. They let me use some tools to get it fixed can't say thank you enough. :) they were very helpful!!
Came here looking for switches for our boat. We had stopped at 3 other places and couldn't find them. The Parts Specialist Joseph was able to help us and they had them in stock.
Nothing but positive things to say about this store. Long story short, I ended up with a hole in my engine on my way back to NC from PA. I took the truck across the street (see my review) to Sawyers 24/7 Mechanic Shop. The employees at Autozone stayed open late to make sure I got the parts I need. Steven and a nice young lady (I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t get her name) were working that night. Not at all upset that this was the town I broke down in. Incredibly sweet people who took care of me. Thank you both.

Tristan K went WAY above and beyond his duties on July 23rd, 2021. A belt on our vehicle broke while driving home with our 3 kids from Myrtle Beach, SC to Indiana. It was Friday evening and we were hoping to find a Ford dealership in the morning to get it fixed. My boyfriend is not mechanically inclined at all. Today I came in to AutoZone for a diagnostic on my car and as soon as I entered Joey greeted and immediately asked if I needed help, I told him my long story about needing a diagnostic test on my car he was very patient in listening to me babble and came out to run the test. We went back inside and it was a simple fix with me not having to purchase anything. He was thorough in explaining exactly what I needed to do and me having no clue about vehicles understood what he said. I would highly recommend going to this location and feel confident that whatever your vehicle needs you will get the help you need. 10 stars if that was an option. GO Joey!!!
Driving cross-country with irritating and noisy wiper blades. Stopped in for new ones and was immediately greeted and helped. The guy recommended good and quiet ones and then offered to put them on the vehicle, in the rain no less. Outstanding customer service!! Thank you, whoever you were. The customer service is usually very good. I have been very pleased with the parts I have purchased from them over the years. Far better than Advance Auto and O"reillys. The prices are competitive.
I called up to get an alternator while traveling on presidents day. They offered to test my old unit, charged my dead battery and Bob kept me in great spirits while I repaired my truck in the parking lot. The even offered to lend me whatever tools I needed and didn't have.

Just about 5 min ago we pulled in with our Jeep and our 4Wd was out. A very nice and kind man by the name of Alan came out in the snow and fixed our problem. I was price shopping for a part. AutoZone was next to my pharmacy I go to. I got great customer service. The part I was looking for was way out of my price range but the salesman was nice about it.. I purchased 2 items while I was there.. both I needed & both were on sale. About half price from other places.
