They're no good. I guarantee they will be shutting down within a year. I spent thousands of dollars with them just to learn that my vehicle still wasn't fixed. Took my vehicle to them this past spring for the exact same issue I'm still having!! I bought the parts they told me to buy and vehicle didn't drive any different. Happened again. Dropped my vehicle off on November 15th for them to install new bushings that had worn. Appointment was @ 8:30 a.m., but I didn't leave until 2:20 p.m. That's no lie. After driving away, car was still making the same exact noise. This time they told me I need new struts. I bought the struts from AutoZone but now I'm allowing someone else at a different garage to put them on. Just today, November 21 2024, I found out that the struts I ordered were the wrong type for my vehicle, after Russell personally spoke with one of the guys at AutoZone to tell him what to order!! Friendly folks, but I can't trust them at Mr. Automotive. This is not the first time I've ordered parts for my vehicle using the information they gave me and it turn out to be the wrong part!! I let it slide the first time. Also, they keep adding brake fluid to my car no matter what type of service I get when it's not even necessary just to drive up the cost!! I won't even bring my vehicle back here for an oil change or an inspection sticker.
This garaage was recommended to me to replace the transmission on my daughter's truck. I took the truck to them in March of 2025. While replacing the transmission and a oil gasket the engine somehow was damaged. They were honest and took responsibility, however, they kept the truck from March until August because they were trying to find a used engine to fit the truck. I understand it's a business but after a month or two they should have gotten me a refurbished engine so that we wouldn't have been without a vehicle for 4 months for an issue THEY caused causing me to have to miss work. During that 4 months I was rarely updated on the status of the truck or kept informed about the progress and it was almost impossible to get in touch with Russell to get updates and when speaking with the other mechanics noone could tell you anything. They pressured us after a point to pay the labor for replacing the transmission even though I had not had the truck for 4 months and did not even know if the transmission was even fixed because they still had the truck at their garage. Come to find out after paying for the labor it wasn't fixed and they had to get another transmission and had the truck so long that the battery also had to be replaced. They paid for their mistakes but we got the truck back in August, and it still is not drivable! We had ZERO ISSUES with the truck other than the transmission before taking it to them and now it isn't drivable. They told me they stand behind their work and the transmission and engine is under warranty and he is a good christian man but after such a terrible experience and poor customer service I will never have them work on another vehicle. You can take the risk and go there if you want but I personally wouldn't let them change a tire for me. Terrible customer service. 4 months they had our truck and I only took it for a transmission to be replaced and now I'm still down a vehicle because it isn't drivable thanks to them. I'm going to find another garage to fix the issues that they have caused.
Life lesson 1002...being a "nice " person doesn't fix vehicles. Never again
If I could give this place my heart I absolutely would. Me and my sister were visiting our family in Ohio and got stuck in the mountains during the night 3 hours out from heading back to South Carolina where we are at currently. These people were so kind we were aloud to sleep in the shop until we got someone to pick us up and take us home after we had to wait three hours because of my car being in the shop here. My Honda dealership couldn’t even find the problem but they did within 2 days!! It’s a very family friendly feeling with these people and I couldn’t be more grateful for them !! This was the most pleasant and stress free car experience in my life thank you guys so much again!!
First off, I would like to say that these guys are the best! I just wished they were near where I live and they would definitely be my go to mechanic. My 2 daughters and their friend broke down on the interstate traveling from Ohio to South Carolina and the people at Mr Automotive couldn't have treated them any better. They fixed a problem that the Honda dealership couldn't find. These guys are very skilled at what they do and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my family.
Took my vehicle up there to get some parts on spark plugs plenum gasket and 3 ignition coils because my check engine light and the A! Light and told them to put a tire on for me which they didn't even put my tire on it was still in the trunk. Anyway I had to pay them close to 600 dollars and j thought that was little bit to high. They brought my vehicle up on the side and it was ready there wasn't to lights on at all. When I got on 4 lane to go home both lights came back on. I think they just cleared the codes off and didn't even fool with the vehicle or anything. I won't be taking my vehicle back there anymore. I will be going back to double d from now on. Y'all just lost a good customer..
Can’t work on a Jag that was made by Ford. Therefore they can’t work on Fords either. And tells people who inquire to their expertise to go away. I wouldn’t take anything here. Even talks bad about your family

Had an incident with the work done on vehicle. Called them spoke with the gentleman who I assumed was over the place told me he stood by his work and to bring it back the next day. Couldn't ask for much more. He owned it and redone what was needed and I would go back when it's needed again.
After spending $1200 at another shop and still having the same issues and anther shop telling me about another $1200 worth of repairs, I brought my vehicle to Mr. Automotive. With a repair cost of of less than $140, my van is driving like new! Issue solved! More than grateful for this shop and the knowledge of their specialty.

I was reconmended by another local mechanic to come to this shop because he was overbooked, if another mechanic actually recommends a place you know they have to be good. The prices were great, the people were even better. Courteous, helpful, determined, honest you really cannot ask for anymore from a mechanic shop. I came in for a wheel balance and alignment because I didn't think it was done correctly at another shop and I was completely correct, since they were upfront about telling me exact answers to my questions I thought I'd ask them to try and remove about 02 sensor that I haven't been able to get out after a LOT of trouble he was able to get it out which saved me from cutting it out and costing a lot more money. I am fairly sure I spoke to every employee there and I am fairly sure they are one of the best group of mechanics in BSG.
We were on a road trip from Washington state and in Big Stone Gap visiting an old friend when the car broke down. Being 3,000 miles from home we were worried about a classic story of being raked over the coals. Our experience couldn't be further from that! They were absolutely amazing, thorough, kept it simple and incredibly friendly. They let us bring our two dogs into the waiting area and offered us anything food or drink they had in their fridge. Blown away, just an awesome place. 10/10 recommended.
