It is 9:22 AM Feb 1st 2026 ... temp outside 18F I walk into this store and a Juke BoomBox is blasting music ... the kind of everyone dislikes ..well except for this employee I ask him to turn it down ... he asks " did you just ask me to turm the music down??!!" I go yes ... i need to ask something ... He goes literally " get the hell out of my store" !!

Darius was a horrible person to deal with refused to honor the warranty that my item came with without me having to argue about it then proceeded to berate me and hurry me along feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this guy.

Every time I place an order online to pick up, it still take longer than you would expect considering I ordered it ahead of time. I just want to pick up my order quickly and leave. Other than that, the store is in good clean condition. Not the best customer service in the world, but respectful and nice. The Speed Perks discounts are nice in the Advance Auto app.

This is perhaps one of the worst advances in Woodbridge/Dumfries. I walked in and there were two employees, one busy with a customer and the other just standing. Four people in line, and they just ignore us. The four of us left after 10 minutes waiting, not because they were serving another customer, but because we saw another employee doing literally nothing and just ignoring us.

The return policy is terrible. I purchased an item, only to discover it was the incorrect part. I returned it the following day, only to be informed that I could not use my regular card for the return. Consequently, they issued me a merchandise card, which is absurd since I rarely visit their store. As a result, I’m unlikely to return in the future.

Incompetent workers went to buy wipers and they couldn't install with two workers the blades on my vehicle...rude service....will not return.wasted almost one hour there.....went across the street to O'Reilly auto and saw Gabriel who helped me to get the correct blades and install them in and out in 15 mins!!!!

Every auto part store salespeople should talk less and attend to other waiting customers quickly. By the reply that Advance Autoparts has given it is clear they haven't understood or don't want to understand. I said attend to customers ,but don't start talking things not related to your job for minutes onwards. Don't be so dumb in answering a practical comment.

I would like to commend Jaz and Melanie as today I was in to purchase oil and there was a line. Melanie had walked in saw the line of customers and she clocked in to help get line down. Come to find out Melanie had just Her shift elsewhere and had stopped in to Dumfries store for personal reasons. What a team player!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION! Horrible experience here from start to finish. Starting off with the lack of professionalism at this particular location is ridiculous. The only employee I had a good experience with was Darius the manager of the location. I ordered parts online and when I went to go pick them up I noticed I received an email stating I picked up the parts a few hours ago. One of the employees contacted the manager who advised them to look at the pickup location just to see if the items were still there which they were. That waisted about 15 minutes which kind of defeated the purpose of an online pickup. The next morning I took the parts to my mechanic which is about an hour away. My mechanic called me later in the day stating that I didn’t bring the correct rear pads and asked if he should install pads he has in his location rather than leaving it and running around with the mess getting the correct pads and bringing it back to him. Unfortunately the pads my mechanic had were double the price I purchased from Advance, but I had no choice at that time. I advised my mechanic to do so and I’ll bring the new pads I purchased back to this store. When I went to pick up the car I saw the box of rear pads were not the ones I ordered and it was very frustrating. I was able to get a refund but the fact that I had to pay double just cause the employees at this location can’t get anything correct is not ok. Darius seemed to be understanding of the situation and wanted to help but didn’t know if he can compensate me for the difference of the pads the mechanic charged. He asked his GM who didn’t really seem to care and told me I need to contact Corporate. All in all, this location sucks. Save yourself the headache and go to a different location.

I came in to get breaks pads but the lady who sold them to me was rude and yelling at me and other customers for no reason?? Her name was Melanie when I told her I was gonna report she said she didn’t care, I’ve been here numerous times and instead of helping employ’s she’s always outside smoking cigarettes me personally I dont wanna smell that when buying parts! 1/5 star

I visited this location on April 29th, 2024. I wanted to add the refrigerant to my car and needed help to do it. I came into contact with an excellent employee who was also a manager. Her name is Zu. She recommended the products I needed. She even went the extra mile by assisting in adding it to my car. I had never done this before. An employee who she had asked to just show me the process whined about getting in trouble. Zu was the consummate professional. She told me she would help me. Talk about proactive customer service. She went above and beyond in helping me. Let me just say that day the temperature was in the 90s, so her help was definitely appreciated. She recommended 2 bottles of the refrigerant, and she was right. After adding both my car, was back to feeling cool and comfy. Zu deserves all of the kudos. It was her attention to the needs of a customer that will definitely have me come back to that location. Advance Auto should be proud to have such an amazing employee.

The store did not have the item I needed, and the gent working there took time to look online, find it, and refer me to a competitor because he knew I needed the product. I will continue to be a faithful customer. There is now no other auto parts store, only Advance Auto Parts!

STAY AWAY(!) for anything UPS related. They are extremely unorganized and have absolutely no concern for others' packages. I had requested one of my boxes be dropped off with them since they were listed as a UPS Access Point. I stopped by during business hours to pick my package up and no one was able to find it. They had UPS Access Point boxes mixed in with their own packages, and also had piles of boxes meant to be shipped out (theirs and UPS AP customers) all in the same area and couldn't figure out what anything was. I told them how big the box was and what it'd look like, and they still couldn't figure anything out. Instead they started holding up random boxes/envelopes/etc. that had other people's names on them and had ZERO resemblance to the description I gave them. So after wasting my time with that, they changed the story to UPS probably just lied about having it signed for and either didn't drop it off and signed for it themselves or delivered it to the wrong business. Seeing that the package required a 21+ (Adult) signature, the first option seemed highly unlikely to me seeing that UPS has NEVER left a box for me that requires an adult signature, without actually getting a signature. If anything it'd just stay with them and be delivered the following day. I ended up walking over to the dental office 2 doors down that AAP said sometimes gets their packages (How have they not spoken with the UPS driver (They said same driver(s) deliver each day) about multiple instances of delivering to the wrong business..?). I confirmed the name that was listed by UPS as receiving the package was the manager of the dental office. However, she had no memory of signing for the package either but looked through their packages in the back with no success. She then went on to tell me that she believes she took 2 boxes over to AAP the previous week since AAP wouldn't come get them themselves after multiple requests by the dental office. After returning to AAP, the manager also had no memory of the dental manager dropping any boxes off and changed his tune to start suggesting her story was suspicious and started pointing the finger at them. All this to say, I still have no idea where my package is and they have NO care in the world that there is proof of delivery yet my package is no where to be found. Not sure why I'm now having to bear the burden of finding the package that they lost. Either way, I've filed a claim with UPS who said they'll be able to track the package/truck at time of delivery and can confirm with their driver that it was indeed delivered. Following UPS confirming this, I'll also be filing a police report against both businesses since neither seem to want to give any details or assist in finding the package they misplaced. It seems like something more is going on here.

They were very friendly and helpful. However, I waited over an hour for a battery warranty/ exchange and still did not get the battery that was supposed to get transferred there the next day. I purchased a battery in August 2022. However, the batter was 10/2021. The 2023 battery that was requested to be transferred to the store was a 2019 battery. After Dale City sent over a 2019 battery, I went to the Dale City location to pick-up the 2023 battery to avoid a longer wait time or another mishap. Therefore, I would just encourage customers to check the dates on their batteries to make sure it's new.

The store manager (Curtis) is usually pretty good but today he lied to me twice. The first time he told me I had to come into the store to order my part when it clearly states online to call the store to order the part. The second lie came when he canceled my order (for another part) when other stores in the immediate area had my part but instead of telling me that he just said they were completely out. I ended up going to your store 09034 the guy their was awesome and very friendly and gave me my part in less than 2 min. Curtis we have to do better!

Stopped in to have my car battery checked after getting a hot shot. Jose was very helpful n friendly. He came out to my car n checked the strength of my battery n sent me on my way with great news that my battery was holding a strong charge. What a relief, I had a lot of errands to run n was afraid of getting stuck in a shopping center parking lot hoping someone would be kind enough to jump start me or worse yet, wait a couple of hours for roadside assistance to rescue me n my melting groceries!! Thank you very much, Jose😉

My check engine light was on, but I didn't want to take it to the dealership and have them charge me $200 to tell me what's wrong with it. So I was picking up some medicine at CVS in the same plaza and drove past this place and it said they offer FREE check engine light diagnosis!!! Thanks everyone who worked there that day that help me out. Turns out it was just a loose fuel cap.

Went today 4/21 between 11:45 and 12. Nice women checked me out. She made conversation and made me laugh. Thanks so much. I also loved the color of her hair. Sorry I had to put that in there. Called in order and when I arrived, no one knew what I was talking about and the part wasn't even in the store. The website is useless because it said the part was a perfect fit for my vehicle and it didn't come close to fitting. Forget the knock off bootleg parts and get the genuine parts from the Dealership.

I cannot tell you what a relief coming into this store was!! The gal at the register (didn’t catch her name) and Curtice the manager both went above and beyond to help me solve an ongoing dilemma with my vehicle. Being hundreds of miles from home, and hundreds of miles from the mechanic I payed a serious chunk of change to last week while I was traveling to fix this issue, my road trip has been far less relaxing than I’d expected & far more costly. These guys eased the burden with recommendations and solutions to turn things around for me. Truly grateful and highly recommend this store.

I went there to get my battery checked. Service was good but the foreign guy at the desk that assisted me wore glasses that looked like shades. He had a so warm of a welcome and seemed hesitant, and seemed quite disturbed . He helped but left the hood of my car up after he checked my battery and walked off. Maybe he was upset about something or maybe he just didnt like women. I dont know..... I felt a bit confused and disturbed with the customer service give.

It's great. You can order parts for your car online and pick it up a few hours later. For the most part the staff seems to know what they're talking about and are nice.

I went in to get some replacement windshield wipers. I'm not super savvy in this area, but I knew to consult the book that was mounted in that area. A customer near me started to assist me, which I thought was seriously the nicest thing. After a nearby employee finished ringing up a customer she came over to assist me in picking the correct wipers. Without her help I would likely bought 2 of the same size which wouldn't have worked! She was really helpful and polite and even went out to the parking lot with me to put them on my car. Honestly that was above and beyond and really cool!! I had a very nice experience here today and would definitely recommend this store to others. :)

I used to come to this place for all my car part needs. The staff they recently hired are young and unable to provide assistance when a customer walks in. You'll normally see one guy at the register while 4 guys are standing around talking behind the register. The staff needs better training and a manager on duty. On top of that they wouldn't return or at the very least give me a $14 store credit on a bulb which they wrongly told me to purchase in the first place, just because I couldn't provide them with a receipt. Customer service gone wrong. Hope others have a better experience.
