My car unfortunately got stuck in a snowbank during the big snowstorm in the past weekend and I couldn't move it at all. I called Minter Autoshop for help, and the owner, Bobby, answered my call.
Over the phone, Bobby was incredibly calm and friendly. He completely understood my situation, immediately made an appointment to come out. About 2-3 hours later, he arrived on time and fully prepared. He skillfully used a tow cable with a hook and easily pulled my car out of the snow.
I am so grateful for Bobby's help. In such bad weather, he was not only quick to respond, but his process was also very professional and reassuring. If you ever need any kind of car assistance, I would recommend Minter Autoshop without hesitation. Thank you so much, Bobby
Nice guy and professional, but I feel like he overcharged me. His shop is half a mile from my house and my car broke down 2 miles from my house. He charged me $100. My thing is, he could have worked with me a little being my house is 20 houses away from his shop and my car was broke down right down the road. Nice guy, just feel like he could have worked with me; maybe just a little?
Terrible experience — avoid this company
After my wife’s accident, the police helped us arrange a tow, but this towing company later moved the car to their body shop without informing us. They ignored calls from both us and our insurance, making it impossible to move the car or get clear info on their charges. It felt like they were trying to keep the car longer just to bill more. On top of the stress of the accident, this company made things much worse. Highly unprofessional.
Just moved to King George Virginia. Stop pass to get a UHAUL truck witch was great. I also noticed the repair shop. Took my vehicle there and like the UHAUL shop great customers service also great price and very clean. Looks like I will be taking all of my vehicles there.
Driving down 301 on December 23rd my check engine light started flashing. We were en route to a ballet performance so the timing was not good. A quick google search showed Minter’s as the closest garage, so we crossed our fingers and pulled in. Ed checked out the code, then made a call for someone to bring him the parts we needed. We waited in the office (which was spotless) and were offered candy and reading material. Once the parts arrived the repair was done very quickly and we were on our way. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Benn bringing my car to Ed and Bobby before they even had their shop. My father and i would go to Ed's house and have our stuff worked on. I will not take my vehicle any where else. Ed, Bobby and Mitch are the best. Hands down there is no better place to go great service and the prices are really fear.
After visiting this place for a few times where I have taken my car here to get something fixed or check on something, they have been pleasant. Nice and honest folks. Good customer service too whether in person or on the phone! Highly recommended.
Highly recommend. Made an appointment for state inspection and they were quick and got it done with no issues. Very honest people. We previously went to another shop locally but they were telling us we needed a laundry list of repairs to pass VA inspection. We wanted a second opinion and came to this fantastic shop and we were glad we did. Customer service and communication were great.
This place is run by a number of really great stand-up folks. I was put in a bad situation after my car was stolen and it was towed to their location, but I couldn't get out there from Washington, DC for the following few days and they did not charge me any type of storage fee until I was able to get it. They even had a couple really good barbecue recommendations locally that we really enjoyed. Highly recommend this place.
From oil changes to U-Haul Renters - the company's policies seem to focus on fair prices, timely service, professionalism, courtesy, cleanliness, quality, accuracy, and politeness. So, not only do you get the repairs or rentals you need, but the staff treat you very well in the process. They have worked with me on several repairs and its always the same - This is what we can do for you, this is what we will charge, and when the process is complete - the work is done accurately and well. My wife and I cannot thank the family enough for everything they have done for us over the years. We're moving out of state, but we will miss Minter's T&R and we will miss the work they do. Thank you!
I returned a trailer here before, and they were helpful and professional. This time, they were the same even though I was not a customer and just needed help. Not begrudgingly, but with a neighborly attittude.
Minters towing is an excellant place to have services performed. It is a family run business. Very professional, respectable, good local people. Very clean.
There is alway a kind voice on the phone and a friendly face to great you when you walk in. Family owned and operated, this is the only place I will take my vehicles to get serviced.
They were able to quickly ascertain the issue with my car. They fixed it when they said they would and at a fair price, I.e. a cost that was very reasonable!
Incredibly helpful phone service. They bent over backwards, even though it ended up that what I needed was not something they could help me with, so they didn't get my business. They even called the Sherriff's office for me to check legalities around moving a car I was considering buying that had no plates.

We popped a tire right out front of minters..it was a miracle they were open past closing hours. ED walked to our car aired up our tire enough to get to his shop he took the tire off and immediately started working to help us out.oh yea I forgot to mention I walked up right as he was locking the door at 7:30 on a Friday night when they were supposed to close at 5..he didn’t even hesitate to come help us. We would have been stuck all night since everywhere else was closed until morning. He didn’t complain once and he didn’t have to help us. Definitely the kindest and most caring customer service I have ever received thank you ED!!!
