They were extremely friendly and allowed me to bring in my own parts (brake pads and rotors). And they did my inspection at the same time. As I'm someone with a lot of medical payments as well as regular life payments money and time is extremely tight. Had even a great conversation with one of the workers there. Won't go anywhere else now. Amazing shop. Also my name is Jordyn snead. Not Jordyn Mullins I don't feel like changing that.

After going to Carolls garage and being told that it’s a minimum $165 diagnostic and they don’t put on parts bought at advance auto , I’d have to get the parts from them ( so they can mark them up ,I get it ) also they wouldn’t go by the code my scanner gave me which was misfire cylinder 1 .. I knew I needed a coil pack and spark plug since it’s happened before .. I decided to go to Dahlgren garage and ask them if they’d please put a coil pack and spark plug on for me .. I’m a single woman with very limited money .. The young man there was soooo super nice and told me he would put them on and make sure that fixed the issue .. not only did it fix the check engine light , trac off light but my car ran just as good as it did before the whole issue happened..I cannot express how much I appreciate their willingness to help me out .. they only charged me $25 to put on the coil pack and spark plug ..when your car breaks down you immediately fear how much it will cost and can you even get it fixed so I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Dahlgren Garage .. very rare to find people like them ! I’m so thankful ❤️

Had an inspection done and they were very fair. Returned for the reinspection and they took care of me fairly quickly. They seem honest and I would recommend from first impressions.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could! They are nothing but scam artists, I came in for a diagnosis on my vehicle and they took it upon themselves to remove parts unnecessary for the job, and next time I go to drive it I about had an accident due to a poorly installed tire. They had me bring it in early that day then had me wait all day no communication I had to call them, was then told they had to put it in after hours which was suspicious to say the least. Needless to say when I confronted them I was told to get off the property just rude and unprofessional! Don’t go here!

I have used Dahlgren Garage for many years. Today I called and got a great estimate to have my vehicle picked up and brought to my house that had been in an accident up on the beltway. The price was a fraction of what the beltway towing service was going to charge for me to have it towed down to my place. My vehicle was pretty messed up and helped me get it in front of my garage even after unloading it. We had to be careful because of the wet grass and drop offs next to my driveway. I rode with him in order to get my vehicle released as my only vehicle was wrecked. The new owner Ryan is a great guy, has been in ownership about 7 months as I understood.

Great price on new tires. Their Mechanic Drew is extremely knowledgeable. The owner, Ryan, is someone with alot of Heart. He truly cares about helping people.

Staff were super pleasant. It took a while to get my vehicle inspected and I had to look around for my car afterward, but overall a very pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

If I could give more stars, I would. I'm not from here and blew a tire about 30 miles away on a Sunday before a very busy work week. They had the tire in stock and changed it first thing Monday morning including putting my spare back in the carriage and the putting jack kit back together. Huge stress relief when I needed it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. I can't give them more business as I don't live here, but if I did, I certainly would!

I've went to Dahlgren multiple times for different services, they were all pretty pleasant and quick. I recently brought my car there 2 times to get an inspection. The first time I was turned away because they stopped inspections at 4pm then the second time I was told to bring it in whenever so I did, I was then asked why didn't I just take my car to the dealer.. then was told it would be an hour wait.. i waited and waited and watched every light turn off inside.. I feel like if I hadn't called and reminded them I was outside I would have been brushed off. Sorry for bothering and trying to spend my money with a local garage. Next time I'll take your advice and go to the dealer.

I was sent home by AAA with an incorrect diagnosis of a bad wheel bearing on my front drivers side. The next day I take it to Dahlgren Garage and they tell me nothing is wrong with my bearing, but that my lug nuts were hand loose. Didn't charge me a dime and saved me a ton of hassle. Never going back to that AAA, this place has won my business!

I depend on Dahlgren Garage as the most reliable and trustworthy car mechanic team. I've been their customer for 40 years. They serviced my pickup and sedans. They keep my 2004 Elantra running like it's brand new in 2022 and it's still going strong thanks to them. Every visit is professional with no surprises. I can count on Dahlgren Garage to keep me safe on the road.

I brought my car in at 9:45 am for an overheating issue. It was then kept at the garage until around 8:00 pm when I came to pick it up. I was told that my car was overheating due to a loose battery and that I'd need to replace said battery. I was then charged $99.95 for that service. They also told me it had taken 3 hours to charge it. Afterwards, I took the car to Auto Zone as well as Advance auto parts for 2 different free battery checkups and received good results on both tests, and subsequently towed the car to a separate mechanic who managed to diagnose the true cause of the issue (pinhole leak in a coolant bypass hose) much faster than the 10 hours it took to tell me my battery was loose and in need of replacement. It has now been 1 week, and I still have not needed to replace said battery, so I have serious doubts as to whether that was truly an issue. I've now chalked this up to a lesson learned regarding auto repair and diagnosis. The fact that they did not bother opening the coolant cap to visually check if there was in fact coolant going to the engine over the 10 hour period my vehicle was there speaks volumes to the level of care involved in diagnosing my car.

Chuck, Mike and the boys at Dahlgren Garage do a great job. All services are explained in -depth, prices are reasonable and the work is exceptional! I've been taking my vehicles here since 2013 and have never had a single problem with anything they've ever done for me! Thank you!

I like to come here to get my yearly auto inspection done. I've been here 2 or 3 times so far. This is the only place I've ever been to that takes the time to completely remove the previous sticker before applying the new one. When I come here, they are always friendly, fast, and efficient. I never have any worries that they will try to sell me any services that I don't need, which is very important, for a woman. If I lived nearby, i'd definitely have more work done on my car here.

Mike and the other mechanics were so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and down to earth. We got the truck back in 2 days (which was so much sooner than expected) for an inspection and emergency break replacement, along with other miscellaneous things that needed to be done. We'll be going back to Dahlgren Garage for all of our other automotive needs. Highly recommended!

What a great place to get your vehicle repaired! Its never easy when your vehicle needs repair because the repair itself and the cost is unknown. But the guys at Dahlgren Garage will set your mind at ease by great customer service, and honesty. If it's not broke they won't fix it. Mike the owner is a great guy who understands that everyone needs a brake ever now and again. Thanks guys!

My fiancé went there to get new tires put on that he purchased himself. They said it took 2 hours to put on which is a total lie. It does not take 2 hours to put tires on. They just charged more to make more money. Will not go back. I gave them a 3 because the car drives nice, but scamming people for more money is ridiculous.

These guys are a class act. My son had tires put on at another shop,where they hadn't tightened down the lug nuts properly. He had a sound from the wheel. Pulled in on a busy day at the shop and explained that I was visiting from out of town and we needed it looked at as soon as possible. They took his vehicle right in. Diagnosed the problem,found a couple things the tire shop hadn't taken care of,"corrosion and things",took care of the problem right away. Were MORE than reasonable for the cost of the repairs. Which enabled us to continue our planned day with minimal time lost. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for repair work. Very honest and trustworthy people. Thank you to Mike for taking care of us on this Friday. Good people here

I don’t usually write reviews but this place was awesome!! Very professional & not at all like they’re trying to rip you off. Don’t trust many auto shops due to the fact that they usually try to tell you more is wrong with your car than you think but these guys were very helpful & gave me information on future things to keep in mind for my car personally. No rush just letting me know what to expect.

Mike and his team at Dahlgren Garage are the best. A rear tire on my rental car went totally flat in the course of a couple hours. I took it in after work and got it fixed right away. It was a bad tire stem (thanks, Hertz) and Mike pointed out another serious problem with a big gouge in the sidewall, which could blow if I was on the highway! Now, what is that Roadside Emergency number?

I needed a Virginia Vehicle Inspection and these guys got it done quickly! Called a few garages in this area and most said next week, cannot do it today. Dahlgren Garage told me to come in after lunch (same day). Drop my vehicle off, I grabbed a late lunch in the area and my truck was done a couple hours later. I recommend this garage/shop to anyone looking service.

Tried to rip me off at twice the price of another shop. Lied to me that my brake fluid was black, took it to the other shop brake fluid is fine. Looks like you've lost a customer permanently over a lie. They'll give you great customer service to see how far they can bend you over and they won't use lube and rob you blind.

Highly recommend this garage, knowledgeable staff that gave me a quote over the phone and didnt charge me a penny more. The other local shop I called wanted to charge me extra labor on top of a more expensive price to start. Another customer was talking about being overcharged elsewhere nearby as well. Dont throw away your money, go to the honest mechanics over at Dahlgren Garage.

The first time we took our car to them was for an oil change. Their price was very fair, the owner was really nice, and they did it in a reasonable amount of time. Good deal, right? So the next pay period comes around, my husband calls them up and asks them to replace the brake pads. He brings it in and they set to work. He falls asleep because he came in after a long overnight shift. They wake him up a few hours later and slap him with a $650 bill. They replaced the disk pads, brake rotors, and brake shoes. All with "premium" parts. We're talking about a Toyota Yaris. My husband was outraged and said he never approved any of that. The guy behind the counter told him "well we already did it, the parts are now used, and you owe us labor charges." Yeah, we'll never go back there again.
