A literal national treasure of a park. Wonderful locale, great facilities, AMAZING sound system, both in the shed & outside on the lawn. Very eclectic programs, from country to rock to opera. You've GOT to see a show there!

The best place for live music. Picnic before the show and enjoy the fun . Excellent seats for people with disabilities. The new elevator has made the entire venue completely accessible. The newly installed fans have really been a great addition and have made a huge difference this hot summer.

First time at Wolf Trap. Great experience. The food was good. Restrooms were clean. Staff was very nice and they all smiled! We saw Maverick city music. Great night of worship.

Incredible venue that truly makes the experience much more memorable, at least if the weather is good. I saw Maverick City Music and the concert was an absolute treat. Parking is relatively easy and traffic in and out was surprisingly not too horrible (though I came pretty early and left pretty late). Only things I can wish is better public transport access (the silver line literally passes right by it without a station) and for the food prices to go down a bit. But what other concert venue allows you to have a whole feast on a picnic blanket?

I went to see Jacob Collier here, and it was absolutely wonderful! The venue is amazing, wonderful sound work, lighting and music from everybody involved.

We had a great time at the Weird Al concert. They have Jr Ranger books and stamps too.

I took my daughter to her first ever concert to see the goo goo dolls. The covered seating is definitely better. I just wish they weren’t so expensive for everything.

This was my 1st time coming to Wolftrap for a concert. This is a very nice venue. The place was easy to get in and park. The place was very clean and has lots of helpful staff. A couple of things to be aware of. You can not take food or open containers to your seats. Not much in the way of signs saying that. You can only eat outside the seating area. The other is that there are no tee shirt vendors inside wolftrap selling concert merchandise. They only sell wolftrap merchandise inside the venue. The tee shirt sales were outside. I didn't get them on the way in figuring I would get them going out. Nope the vendor had packed up and left. So if you see them buy them then if not you will miss out. Leaving was easy to get out to the beltway. I would give them 7 out of 10 stars.

We had a wonderful evening at the Feline center. It was a sold out show but it didn't feel overcrowded and crazy. The parking situation was very well run and all of the staff inside the venue were very friendly and professional. We had a lovely time!

This place is awesome. However Diana Krall's concert was the worst concert I have went too. The sound was terrible, she appeared tired, kept messing with her microphone and I could barely hear her playing the piano. Maybe she should retire. Extremely disappointed in her performance.

One of my favorite venues in the DC Metro area! Can’t beat free parking and byob and food. The fact that they allow you to bring in your own booze makes the higher ticket prices seem fair. Very smooth security, nice staff, good vibes and just a beautiful venue. Saw James Arthur and was impressed with the quality of sound, too.

Amazingly beautiful venue. Went for Gregory Porter and Dianne Reeves. Would go again. Tips: No eating in seated area. You can bring wine but must purchase a cup. Clean bathrooms. Long walk from parking lot.?

The Roots put on an AMAZING show????????? This venue needs to find a way to circulate the air better when seated uncover. Took a star away because of the heat when sitting in the covered area ? and you have to buy their glasses and put whatever drink you've purchased in the glass, before you are allowed to take it to your seat (if you are seated under the covered area of the center)?

It's a great venue, the sound (if the sound man does their job) is typically superior to other DC venues. It is outdoor, so it can be hot. Food and beverage pricing is god-awful. They allow picnic and outside beverages, do yourself a favor and bring one or more. I don't like lawn seating but there is a ton available, and it's a festive atmosphere whether there or in the "barns". Beware a rainy night on the lawns of course. We've seen many great shows here, reminds me of Ruth Ekherd Hall in Clearwater FL (minus the luxurious A/C). Being a member to get early tickets is worth it if you see more than a few shows, and the concert schedule comes to you early as well. Parking is a bear. Just plan for it, and relax, it is what it is.

We had the most beautiful night which of course always depends on the weather but it sure made us enjoy the venue that much more. We saw James Taylor that night and it was wonderful.

20240907 Walked by this performance center while exploring the hiking trails. This property is soooo clean! Feels brand new. It's huge, too, and the seating layout is spacious, providing an excellent line of sight to the stage area. The lawn seating is elevated at the 2nd level of seating. There are plenty of restroom, and it has food and drinks for purchase as well as Wolf Trap souvenirs. The security staff was friendly. There is a Woodland Wildlife Sanctuary next to the building, but it is not dogfriendly. It has a narrow trail, and I saw birds flying around in there. A nice area to explore before dark while waiting for the show to start.

Beautiful venue. Amazing acoustics. The pit and orchestra were very hot on humid nights. Only water or lidded beverages in the main orchestra seating. They sell you a cup with lid for $6 (drink extra). The lawn is great. Can bring your own food/picnic. Not the best views , but the sound is amazing anywhere.

Incredible venue in Northern Virginia that you must check out! Much classier than Jiffy Lube Live. The layout is fantastic, drinks are great, and love how chill they are about what you can bring in for folks on the lawn. Photos/video are from Jake Owen in 2018.

One of the coolest, most unique places I’ve seen a show. The staff was excellent, security was helpful and effective, parking was full but moved… I can’t name a single complaint. Great job to all involved! Can’t wait to come back!

Such a beautiful amphitheater - our seats were on floor and the acoustic environment is excellent. Bathrooms are plush and plentiful. Vending is expensive but worth it. Can't wait to see another concert here.

I took my wife to see Ben Platt at the Wolf Trap Theater, and we had an amazing time! The theater is such a beautiful venue, nestled in nature, which made the whole evening feel special from the start. Ben Platt’s performance was incredible. His voice is just as powerful live, and he really knows how to connect with the audience. He sang a great mix of his popular songs and some new ones. Highlights for us were "Grow As We Go" and "Reverie" – both were performed with so much emotion and skill. The sound quality at Wolf Trap was fantastic, and the live band added so much depth to the music. Ben also shared some funny and touching stories between songs, which made the night feel even more personal and engaging. Overall, it was a fantastic concert, and we left feeling really happy and inspired. If you get the chance to see Ben Platt live, definitely do it!

I've been to several concerts at wolftrap and it is an awesome experience each time. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Parking is a bit of a challenge when leaving the venue, however it is free and not that bad considering how close it is to the highway. I Highly recommend and will continue to return as the prices are competitive and the venue is always a good idea.

I love Wolf Trap, and go there at least once or twice a year. It's one of my favorite venues, and the Filene Center is gorgeous. It's absolutely stunning to be sitting inside in comfort, watching the rain outside, seeing the crew raise the canvas to block the rain. It's just a very nice place to be. The sound is amazing, and the park is really just beautiful.

The classic Wolf Trap, home to so many concerts that I attend each year. A very cozy and spacious place, you can treat yourself indoors or if you prefer to have a picnic in its large garden. World-class artists have paraded through this venue. Totally recommended. A+???

The Filene Center at Wolf Trap is an amazing venue, even on a hot, sticky summer night. Love the lawn area, concessions are actually decent quality with a good variety of options (not many for vegans but some nontheless). Great experience, great show, overall highly recommend!

We saw The Avett Brothers play and it was such an amazing venue. The sound was amazing, the staff is wonderful, it's an awesome atmosphere... the only thing I could complain about would be cramped seats, but it is what is is. I don't know what the lawn seats are like but I do know that the sound was great and there were large screens for viewing. There is a bit of a walk for parking but there are carts to drive those to help those from the lot to the gate who need it. It was a magical night and everyone should experience the Filene Center at Wolf Trap once, if they can.

Amazing venue! Lots of space on the courtyard area - food, drinks, vendors and I was also pleasantly surprised by the screens everywhere and sound system. We had seats in the inner section and had an amazing view of the stage. Will definitely back to see more shows here!

I visited on a Wednesday evening to watch a rock music concert and was reminded of how great a venue the Filene Center happens to be. The park remains very well maintained and staffed by mostly volunteers handling seating directions and general assistance to patrons. The concession stands seem well run with not too long lines for food. The souvenir stands likewise were well run with lines kept to only a few people and transactions handled expeditiously after the show. The venue itself remains quite clean, and crowds tend to behave themselves and be polite for the most part. The volunteers seem friendly and ready to help. I was directed to my seat rather quickly, even as one volunteer thought of a less intruding way for me to get to my seat than another. The acoustics in the center are more than appealing to watch any kind of show, and lawn seating can provide another satisfying experience to listen and see performers on big screens outside the center. I would recommend wearing ear protection if sitting in the venue, as volumes can be as loud as indoor arenas for rock and other concerts. Jazz performances by contrast do not carry as loud a sound inside and can be heard nicely without ear protection. I also recommend patience with parking no matter what time you get to the venue and try to leave. One of the few drawbacks to this location happens to be how its popularity brings a great many cars for the limited on-site parking. Street parking up to ten minutes walk from the center can be a good alternative for later arrivals. Overall I can think of few more delightful ways to take in the performing arts outside of the major city theaters than the Filene Center at Wolf Trap and plan to join the throngs who already know.

Always great. So blessed to have the country's only national park for the performing arts in our backyard. The performances range from rock to Bach, even theatrical engagements. Food is good, though you're welcome to bring your own. Note that cooler size is now limited, as some were getting out of control. One of the special perks is that you're allowed to bring your own beverages. And if you run out, they'll sell you more.

The Filene Center, aka Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, is a wonderful place to see live music. It's a beautiful venue, made nearly entirely of wood, with a covered pavilion and an elevated lawn. The sound is pretty good, and the sight lines INSIDE the pavilion are good, but be warned, if you're in the upper lawn area, you will not be able to see the stage. Parking is plentiful, and should be included in the price of your ticket, but be prepared for a long walk to and from your car. If you have people with difficulty walking a fair distance, uphill, consider looking into accessible parking. You can bring your own food and drinks if you're on the lawn, but no food is allowed inside the pavilion, and you have to buy a $6 souvenir cup to bring drinks into the pavilion. Check the website for specifics on what you can or cannot bring into the venue.
