Another one-star review saying that I hope these scumbags get sued into oblivion. We double-parked a vehicle at my complex overnight as we are in the process of moving. There were dozens of empty spaces still available and we weren’t parked directly next to anyone else. The complex didn’t call it in and the security company didn’t call it in. This predatory company is just circling complexes on its route overnight (we left the vehicle there at 11pm to sleep and they took it at 4am!) and taking everything they can, including an entire truck with a U-Haul full of personal belongings (which they of course charged separate fees for) without so much as a phone call! Then they demand you pay in cash on-site. I’m no stranger to a cash only policy for small businesses trying to avoid credit card transaction fees, but for such large sums of cash, it certainly raises an eyebrow about how they’re running their books. (Unlike some other reviewers, did let us pay with card after initially asking for cash.)
A thorough search of the property revealed a single sign posted on one building, only a few inches tall and MUCH smaller than the “No guns allowed on the premises” sign above it, listing that they could tow without notice. The sign is deliberately unnoticeable so that they can get away without the legal liability but no one will actually see that it’s there. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night working for a place like that, but the workers seem to take joy in berating and verbally harassing their hostages—I mean, “customers.” I hope they get shut down for their shady, illegal business practices tomorrow.
Ok, the first TWO times they towed my daughter's car, I forgave that shit. But now that they towed it a THIRD TIME?! It's on the list for our apartment complex. I'm thinking about suing. That's just theft.
We were at Starbucks in Barton Springs and we saw the car getting hooked up. We immediately were out there before the guy left the parking lot. He would not drop the car and let us pay the drop fee at noted on the consumer information on towing. They are evil and have look out watching the parking lots. If you see ATX Touring signs make sure you look for the lookout. Very overpriced as well!
Crazy predatory business. Have to re-register my car every 24 hours while visiting a friend or I'll get towed by these goons. They are very excited to ruin your vacation.
What goes around comes around. Karma is going to catch these guys hard one day.
- $325 to get my car. Predatory pricing.
- Cash only because their non-existent card machine is down.
- No change, so I had to go to the food truck to get a $5 bill.
- They owe me .53 cent because the bill was 324.47 and they refused to give me change for the $325 I gave them.
- They wrote on my window with some type of paint marker that takes cleaning chemicals and a lot scrubbing to come off.
All around bad ethics. I deserved to be towed. However the ethics are seriously crooked with this business.
The big man upstairs will have his way with this business eventually. As Texans and Americans, we need better than this.
ATX Towing, y’all didn’t just tow my car — you hauled off my bad habits, bad luck, and failed endeavors too. Whatever price was requested, I paid it as redemption, and for that I’m oddly grateful . Amen. May the Lord forgive all my sins, and may God bless y’all with flat-free tires, unbreakable tow straps, and endless business — the true tow-away collectors of misfortune.
Scammers, they charge me $380 for the impound plus $227 for them to get my car out, they didn’t let me get another tow company to get it out which it was going to be cheaper.
The owner wanted to keep my car so bad because the stuff I had inside the car are worth a lot of money. They only accepts cash, really suspicious. The women at the window is super rude she didn’t wanted to give me a receipt as well. Just the worse

This business is extremely shady. They forced me to pull money from their overpriced ATM, essentially stealing from me. The bald Hispanic man working there was completely unprofessional and should not be dealing with customers — his behavior was unacceptable.
The only decent person was the lady at the front desk, who unfortunately had to deal with the mess.
Warning: Be careful. If your car isn’t registered, these people will take every last dollar from you.
The company insists you need to pay cash, but you don’t! The law states they must accept credit and debit cards. If your car gets towed by them, don’t let them pressure you into paying cash. You can report them to TDLR.
This company is the worst they work with apartments called Menchaca commons. The so called gentleman came to my apartment at 11 PM which I spoke with him and he told me that my car wasn’t registered which I told him I’m new to these apartments and he gave me a chance to call the office tomorrow morning which I didn’t expect for him to come back in the middle of the night at 3 AM to tow my car. Very conniving because he told me that I had a chance tomorrow to call the office to add my car but no and again I had to pay a fee of $324. Don’t try to make a deal with them. They have no compassion. They really don’t care. They’re just there to do business and that’s it.
Try to avoid this company at any cost, pure money making approach, very unfriendly and looking to rip-off people in close by areas.
No card payments possible but by co-incidence an ATM is just next to the payment window.
The people are also not helpful in getting your car back, they just simply don't care and cannot even give you the exact address, where you need to pick-up your car.
If I could give zero starts I would totally do the “owner “ is very unprofessional how is this place still even operating with all the negative complains
Got two different instructions about how to get my car back when I called the first time then I did the second time. When I went to pick up the car I brought this up. The owner screamed at me calling me a liar. Then when it was time to pay he claimed the the right amount was not given even though he was given enough to require giving change back. Exploitative business operated by incompetent and vitriolic people.
The people you call to ask about your vehicle seem to have a middle eastern accent. I am Asian and by no means am racist. Our vehicle was towed. I called and asked when i could get it out. He immediately says we are open M-F 8-5. I said Monday is a holiday, will you be open. He says yes and NOTHING else. Come to find out you can pick up your car anytime as long as you give them an hour notice. Which was NOT relayed to me. So I ended up paying over $400 instead of the $250 towing fee. When we called back and asked why he said I couldn’t get my car until Monday, he said you said you wanted items out of the car. I said I never said that. I said my car was towed and when can I get it out. He claims he gave me all the information about the 1 hour notice to get my car out. It’s a scam to get more money out of you. So if they tow your car, you can call them and get your car out at ANY time of the day or night.
It’s not fun getting towed but the crawfish was totally worth it! The staff at atx towing was fun and friendly i had no problems getting my car out. Thanks guys!
Terrible experience and terrible company. They stalk parking lots with hidden signs that are not visible to cars especially at night. Over $300 for less than one mile of towing and worker couldn’t even explain what the charges were for. Will be filing a complaint with state.

Scammers. I parked in the visitor area at my friend's complex, and within ten mintues they'd towed me. Apparently they'd done it WHILE I was inside getting the info to register a permit, which I submitted a minute (literally a singular minute) after they towed me. Terrible customer service, terrible people. Genuine racket that operates in dubious shades of legality.
Disgusting behavior by the workers. Damaging vehicles and also calling slurs and using derogatory terms even to the point of using false accusations. Based on the video posted online of how these people act it is a disgrace.
These guys are terrible. They towed my car without double checking the system. The guy SAW me get out my car as I was registering it on guest parking. Before I reached my building door my car was registered! That guy did not give any type of grace period giving the fact I just got out my car. He decided to try and beat me to the punch. I went inside thinking my car was secured not knowing he already planned on towing it. Woke up to my car GONE. They STOLE my car and they are lucky I didn’t take further actions. They had no choice but to release my car for free because of the proof I had. (Not to mention the owner tried to say the proof I had “didn’t matter” and tried to say I was lying) no wonder these guys have 1 star smh. A bunch of crabs in a bucket.
Not a great experience at all. First with car getting towed for silly reason (Never knew I was parking illegally in the opposite complex).
The staff is very much rude and one lady told there will be upcharge for Credit Card use, after handing over card I was told they only take Visa or Master. I gave Visa but then another guy came back and told they need Debit Card. The ATM machine is located quite conveniently right next the window.
Get the Cash and dont forget to ask for proper receipt.
If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible company. Could not tell me where they towed my car from. Just said I was "at the Armadillo Den like everyone else." Then when I asked him what he meant, he told me he wasn't going to argue with me and hung up. Also, the address listed is no where near the one he told us to go to. It seems like they are jumping locations to avoid bad reviews. Nothing but bad reviews follow this place.
When I finally figured out where my car was, I got to the location, they asked for my address. When I asked why, they immediately told me they would not longer take card payment and only take cash. I'm pretty sure that's against city ordinance.
In short, this place is shady, sleezy, and I would never recommend them for ANYTHING.
This towing place is terrible. How do you tow cars (which I’m not upset about) and have a 24/7 sign posted and never answer the phone. I hope they try to charge me an overnight fee after trying to reach them for over an hour.
Finally got in contact with them and the address doesn’t match. When we asked why the address took us somewhere else we were misdirected and talked down to. Then he called me back and claimed he was with a Canadian company… this is a very illegally ran towing service and I hope they get what’s coming to them.
The interaction I had today with this company was so embarrassing. A grown man screaming cussing at me, throwing my money on the ground, chasing my boyfriend off the lot and would not release his vehicle because he (Daniel) had to “calm down” first. This place is garage and needs to be shut down or investigated for sure.
Went to pick up my car and I had to wait 30 minutes for him to get there. When I looked over the fence I saw that my trunk was open. When the dude arrived and I asked about the trunk being open he started to yell at me blaming it at me. He was rude, Disrespectful, and just aggressive. This man has no people skills at all. He just goes around yelling at people and being rude and he has no business dealing with people.
I’m honestly at disbelief how rude the drivers were! I also called to speak to the boss about the issue and he was rude as well. He decided it was okay to talk over me and treat me like I was less then. I will never use this company again. Good luck to who does !
Took my car over 20 miles away! Owner or whoever is in charge is super rude! Be careful, it says that they accept credit card or debit card in the entrance banner, ut I called and they said that they only accept cash. I dod not get a receipt when I took my car out. This is suspicious behaviour!!
Parked at my friends house in the VISITOR parking for an hour and a half and they lied to me saying my registration with the apartment was expired when it wasn’t. Customer service dude on the phone needs to learn some basic human communication because all he wanted to do was force his conservative ignorant views on the pandemic down my throat and yelled that my car is $230 to get out. Glad y’all cheapskates can make easy money off of everyone. Hope you sleep very well at night doing this to literally 10 other people in one night.
